    Just a precision about your description: there are two drones on the video hutsul. The smallest one is included in the chanter (melody pipe).You can hear it at the beginning of the vid.

      It is not a drone. Its a following melody part of chanter. Which is used for rythms and harmony. That is characteristical for Bagpipes from Pannonian Basin

      Technically, it is called a counter-chanter, a second fingered pipe for harmonic effects rather than melodic playing.

    Have you noticed how the reeds are decorated with designs typical of Ukrainian woodworking? The Scottish pipes do not have this kind of feature. On the other hand, I love the tartan bag.
