Predators aside, I think that's the best three fish you've landed in one session. All three in superb condition. I'd have been happy "just" to catch the chub.
Yet again a superb video. The love and care you have for the fish you catch is to be commended. You could quite easily host your own TV show as your commentary and instruction is flawless. Keep it up, love the show.
Chub barbel and carp, some seriously good angling by you! And I agree with those winter mornings with crunchy grass, hardly any wind and the sun warming you as it comes up, there's just something about it
Whenever I comment on these videos, I find myself repeating the same thing over and over!! Some amazing angling and another great episode!! Fantastic Chris 😎🎣🎣🎣
So refreshing to see what I call a real angler,by that I mean he’s fishing in rivers.Lakes and ponds are ok but you know the fish are in there. On a river you have to find your quarry.Tight lines mate
Absolutely astonishing captures mate. I don't know anyone else who could do that. Your watercraft and bait presentation is second to none. One of the big manufacturers needs to get you on board as their number one all rounder. ESP springs to mind. Brilliant stuff.
Marvelous bit of fishing there. My wife even talked about breakin out the Chub gear just last weekend! Love to watch ur sessions and just get inspired by the whole experience that ur sharing. Thnx for puttin out these videos and plz keep em comin!
I loved you video!! Chub, barbel and carp what more do you want!! Carps are my favorite fish!! Keep up the good work and Thight lines😎🎣🐟 Greetings from the Netherlands!!
@@neilr4867 and thats why tv is dying nothing decent to watch, my dad taught me many years ago and he still love fishing but he aint into you tube and stuff, not everyone is
@@philsmith214 I disconnected my tv from the antenna years ago. There's a reason tv is dying; it's rubbish! It's really easy to navigate TH-cam on a modern tv or via a Chromecast on an old one. I pay $12AUD a month for the premium version with no ads. Strongly encourage you to take a look
We have a few Carp in the two rivers near me, they are mainly escapees from local lakes where we have heavy periods of rain and the rivers and lakes converge. A double came out of the Frays this year, a tiny stream - The angler said he struck and the fish just sat there, didn't realise it was hooked until he started to try and pull it in across the 2ft deep section at which point it went mental.
Brought back so many great memories of fishing my favourite river, the Kennet. Not fished properly for a number of years having moved to Devon, but you are so inspiring me to get out there again. Great time of year for Chub. Great channel by the way. Keep up the brilliant work 👏
Ah, I remember fishing for winter pike on my local river 50 years ago when people were in church. Same kind of crisp morning - beautiful time to be alive :-)
The first of your films I' ve seen and I cannot wait to see more! Superbly filmed and narrated, a skilled angler catching some magnificent fish - aren't they all regardless of size? VBW x
Fantastic fishing, welldone again Chris. 20 odd years ago when I used to fish that stretch regularly, the river level always seemed higher,we caught quite a few good sized roach on bread flake trotted with centerpin and chubber float. Of course we also caught plenty of chub as well
Only just come across your channel not fished since a young lad looking forward to getting back into it on my retirement coming up great video's thanks for putting them up best regards Mark
I know this river well. There is some cracking carp in there. It's an amazing sport on light feeder gear. I fish the shallow stretch a lot in the summer for the barbel and chub but hit the deeper sections if I'm after the carp. I have to say though I have never seen a carp in the shallow sections in the summer let alone catching one in winter hahaha nice capture pal
Great video as always Chris and what away to start and end a session on a cold winter. Never had a carp out of river. But absolutely love winter chub fishing. Looking forward to the upload. Tight lines 👍
Loved the video! Thats the way I loved to fish....roving a small river. I once had a carp like you did...hooked it on single maggot , size 20...it never realised it was hooked....just lifted it gently and netted it...it went 24lb!!
Next time you go float fishing on the river you should try a centre pin reel. It's a lot easier to control your line and keep it tight to your float for when you get a bite
Saw you out from the TSB on the corner the other week whilst I was working, (know you're from round that area so had to be you) was gutted I couldn't come out and say love the videos... everyone at work was calling me a sad act. Tried explaining its like them seeing someone from corrie 🤣🤣
Thats a craking chub, not caught one that size, used to fish at night for them over a bed of hemp, and dainsh blue cheese, lovely fish, the river mole is full of chub, great video mate.
Mate, when you can, get to Victoria Aus and go river fishing here. That river Carp you caught was a 'tiddler' and they fight like buggery here, you can even cast up to them as they come up river browsing for fòod, same with Roach. (Bread, worm and corn cornels)!. 🤣 Trout also go mad for same!.
Wow Chris buddy what a session three mega fish but that carp was the winner hands down you would be lucky to get a carp like that in a lake this time of year 🎣👊👏👏
That last shot of the carp could have had a voice over of it saying.. "Oh how embarrassing, me putting up such a wimpy fight, I mean what are all my carp friends gonna say about me" :O) Joking aside... 3 great fish, nice one mate !
Top job Chris. I think this might be one my favourite videos you've done. So good to see you buzzing. Really chuffed for you. Out interest, I'm assuming it was mono you were using right though? Well done again mate!
Great stuff chris the barbel my favorite fish i fish the river wye regularly for them my personal best barbel is 14LB 50Z the fight they give is staggering thanks for posting,,
Chris, you deserve to be on terrestrial TV with your fishing program.
Predators aside, I think that's the best three fish you've landed in one session. All three in superb condition. I'd have been happy "just" to catch the chub.
Another amazing idea Chris. Love the way that you describe your tactics. You make it look easy and it’s not. Thanks and keep at it!
You never fail to astound me as an angler 🎣🎣
Yet again a superb video. The love and care you have for the fish you catch is to be commended. You could quite easily host your own TV show as your commentary and instruction is flawless. Keep it up, love the show.
That is probably the most beautiful scenery of nature i`ve seen in a long time. Such a nice vid ... love your channel! Go ahead
Chub barbel and carp, some seriously good angling by you! And I agree with those winter mornings with crunchy grass, hardly any wind and the sun warming you as it comes up, there's just something about it
Great video as usual. Informative, relaxed and really appreciate how much respect you give the fish as regards their well-being
what a beautiful triple there mate, almost a catch of a life time for most people, brilliant, thank you for that
One of the best fishing channels on TH-cam 👍🏻🎣
Whenever I comment on these videos, I find myself repeating the same thing over and over!! Some amazing angling and another great episode!! Fantastic Chris 😎🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Buddy!
We're looking at the next Mick brown, or Matt Hayes. Remember us little folk when ya make it big👍

Well done chris now get yourself on tv 👍 we need a new fishing show
I've never agreed with anything more in my life. Someone let the discovery channel know they're missing out!
Why? TV is dying. Just watch it on youtube on your telly! TV tends to introduce a lot of rubbish into the production as well.

Your channel is one of the best I follow for a long time. Great editing skills and great content. Keep it up
Three fabulous fish Chris caught on simple baits and tactics. Love the way you smack the camera makes me duck every time! Brilliant 👍

I know buddy. Its a shadow of its former self. It runs through so shallow now and all the big roach and bream have gone
love watching your videos bro ! brings me back memories of the old fishing days!
