  • Urbanisation evolved in the East with the development of grid cities characterized by horizontally planned streets that interest at 90 degrees, and evenly spaced flat-roofed buildings constructed from sun-dried mud bricks. These traditional building techniques emerged from a convergence of factors, including the region's arid climate, culture, locally available materials, and the tools and knowledge of the time.

Most arabs had been living in tents prior to 700 AD , subsequently they had newly- converted Persian, Indian, Greek architects built their buildings ., the pre-Islamic Arabs used to build very simple Cubic edifices the example of which is the Kaaba .

Please allow me to correct you! Persians, Indians and Greeks have not crossed Arabian land; the Arabian Peninsula. There is simply no historical or archeological evidence to back this statement. When speaking about history we need to be specific about facts and geographical locations. When I speak about Arab architecture, I speak about developments of architecture with arab influence in Damascus, Baghdad, Cairo, North Africa, and Andalusia.
