Ariana Grande is NOT Puerto Rican, she is of Italian Descent. So, she's basically white which explains her pale complexion when she was on Victorious when she was a teenager. Also, she grew up in one of the sunniest states in the country, Florida. But, people don't naturally get darker when they go from teenager to adulthood. It's either from birth to kids. Even when you are elderly you might lighten a bit. She's probably self-tanning because she jumped several shades darker from Victorious to now.
