The common denominator is most of the greats eventually become black activist, Godfrey is definitely headed down the same path. To some it may come off as racism, but this is the voice of black pain.

I’ve scoured TH-cam to watch all of his old stand up shows back when he was doing 10 minute sets at Caroline’s and a bunch of underground clubs. This brother is naturally funny! Godfrey knows his history, Surinam is next to Brazil in South America. And use to be colonized by the Dutch. One the best guest I've seen, this brother is mad talented and smart.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I bought a ticket to see an online comedy show with Godfrey. It was a hot mess with his opening acts and technical glitches. Then I received a message that I was invited to the Green Room afterward. And Godrey zoomed with his guests and it was error-free and hilarious.
Godfrey really is a smart and cultured brother because I wasn't expecting him to know about Suriname like that. That's where my mom was born. So shout out to the Dutch-Surinamese folks! lol

Godfrey has been one of my favorite comedians for years. I’ve scoured TH-cam to watch all of his old stand up shows back when he was doing 10 minute sets at Caroline’s and a bunch of underground clubs. He’s handsome, fucking brilliant, and ridiculously funny. Fan for life. So glad you guys finally had him on. More please!!!
I first saw him on a show called The It Factor (2001-2002) where it showed struggling artists in NYC. Godfrey at that time was just landing a 7Up commercial on the heels of Orlando Brown ("Up Yours!").

At the beginning of the pandemic, I bought a ticket to see an online comedy show with Godfrey. It was a hot mess with his opening acts and technical glitches. Then I received a message that I was invited to the Green Room afterward. And Godrey zoomed with his guests and it was error-free and hilarious.
Godfrey is the most well polished comedian who hasn't been given that golden stage. Its here now & super happy for the brother! Its his time!

After a long time , finally a very interesting brother on the show. Intelligent , funny, sharp and honest brother. One and half hours went so quickly didn’t notice !. I love his honesty and candidness about race , just his overall opinion about things is so interesting. PS: shout out to Charlemagne, he’s grown from a goofy character trying to hurt everyone’s feelings to a respectable progressive black man. Can’t wait to see Geoffrey on the show again.
