Why a lot of people hate him tho? He's progressive and smart, a bit too idealistic but it's understandable because he's young. But isn't that what we need in politics? If people stay in the same pattern how do we disrupt the corruptive pattern? Just saying.
He’s an opportunist and a sycophant. He chants about abolishing and minimising corruption but ironically he’s Mahathir’s favourite yes-man. He gloats about creating “innovative” policies but most of it are either recycled or aren’t impactful. The only thing that makes him appear so “different” is because of his age, persuasive ability and fluent english in which most Malaysians lack. I won’t deny that he’s smart and seems willing to do his job but at the end of the day, he’s just your average day politician who seems special just because of most our ministers are downright useless.
People who hate him is from different party..that all..not because he opportunist or whatsoever..his thinking is realistic and progressive..and the more he speak like that the more hate and painful in their heart..but if this young leader is coming from previous BN party...he will be praise by this people...

On the topic of human rights, it's very dissapointing to hear that he is against Israel but he bow down to super power like China ignoring the human rights of Uyghurs. Ifor Israel and Palestine, it's the problem of the people in power, but the citizens are suffering and both side deserve to live peacefully, whereas for Uyghurs case, that's slavery, ethnic cleansing done by the CCP, they have zero chance to fight, and here we have a man who speaks proudly of How he is against Israel but supported (or needed support) of super powers like China and bowing down to China. Such a big disappointment to see this from him!
