I agree, but they added something behind to orientate the infrared sensors towards the floor. I also saw installers here in France putting them high up. To be fair it makes more sense to me to have it being unaccessible, like the Visonic outdoor PIR cam...
Quick question isn't that outdoor PIR Cam useless? It's facing the front door, anytime someone comes to knock at the door (there's no gate and the doorbell is there) it triggers the sirens; having the system myself it's awfully loud, I would never want any sensor in my front yard...
According to the Ajax installation requirements for the Outdoor Motion camera, the height must be 0.8 - 1.3 m.
