Good selection of sights but there is so much more to see if you have the time. Some things are seasonal so it depends on the time of year you visit Chiang Rai but there is always something new to discover.
We absolutely love your videos and they`re helping us a lot to plan our trip to Thailand! Thank you so much for sharing it! I would like to know if you need to register the drone somewhere to use it there please. We`re looking for this info but it`s so confusing online! :)
Thanks for watching! Glad it’s helpful. Regarding where we stayed - The link is in the description below the video - but the place we stayed at was called Homey Dormy Chianrai. It was a great hotel but a bit outside the center. Easy enough to take a Grab there or go by scooter / car.
beautiful vlog!! we are going on early Aug 2024 for a day trip. Can you suggest the best places that we can go and make up in a day trip apart from White temple, blue temple and golden triangle?
The Baan Dam Museum was pretty interesting and is not too far from the other temples. The night bazaar and just the center with its places to eat and drink is also worth checking out. Maybe Singha Park if you have some extra time
Hey guys, great video, thank you! I will be doing a semester abroad in Thailand from January to June and have the choice between Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai or Bangkok University. What can you recommend? :)
We personally liked Chiang Rai more as it’s more authentic and has lots of outdoor opportunities. Bangkok has more fancy bars and clubs so probably better for nightlife… it’s also easy to get anywhere else in Thailand from Bangkok (many cheap flights etc). So it really depends on what you prefer
I wonder if you were able to see the signs of the city of Bangkok which is literally sinking. There's an abandoned indoor shopping mall there which is halfway filled with water. Not only that, it has it's own ecosystem of various types of fish growing larger than normal due to no predators in the area. ❤🐠❤
We did get a rental car for that part of the journey! It’s possible to get around with Grab as well to most places in the vicinity (like the waterfalls). There are also day tour offered or you could also rent a scooter which is cheaper than a car!
This is what you see on video but reality isnt as good. I did stop by chang rai and visited a tea plantation (tour sold by educational tour company). I am asian american, can attest with you that the tea tasting is a bs show. I am a big tea fan (spend $200 for just a bag of tea). I thought they give me fresh bulbs to drink but gave me bs tea that i can buy from any market in usa. They tried to sell me packaged tea bag as high price and these are chinese owned business. It told them this is an insult to my tea hobby. This is a tourist business. But thailand is a great place for sure
I don't exactly remember but we booked online via Rentalcars. We picked it up in Chiang Mai and dropped it in Chiang Rai after about 2 weeks. It wasn't very expensive (I think around 350€ for the entire trip)
All your videos are excellent. The format is 1st class, so informative. Thank you so much for helping us to plan our 1st trip to Thailand.....🙂

@@worldwildhearts thank you for your suggestions
You guys should visit Cambodia. There are more STUNNING TEMPLES than in CHIANG MAI AND CHIANG RAI.👍👍👍👍👍👍
We have visited! check out the videos on our channel!
Awesome. Where did you guys stay?😊
The link is in the description! Our hotel was called the Homey Dormy. Loved it
Thank you for the information, do the waterfalls still run in late January into February? Thx
They were still running in February when we were there so I guess so! Depending on the rain that year maybe as well
I'm going there this summer. Do you think four days is enough to do the things you listed in this video? Thanks
yes four days should be just enough!! Hope you'll be there for the weekend market too... as it's amazing!
Hey guys, great video, thank you!

🤙
I'd like to suggest a local market called Kad Luang Chiang Rai Market
กาดหลวง เชียงราย, that's cheaper than night market.
How did you guys get around Chiang Rai?
We rented a car... but you can also rent a scooter or get around by Grab
I wonder if you were able to see the signs of the city of Bangkok which is literally sinking. There's an abandoned indoor shopping mall there which is halfway filled with water. Not only that, it has it's own ecosystem of various types of fish growing larger than normal due to no predators in the area. ❤🐠❤
Didn’t see that.. What’s the name of the mall? Want to learn more about it
Where did you eat the Hot Pot, what is the name of the place?
sorry for the late reply! It was at the night bazaar. There is one that attracts all the people. I hope you found it!
Is it me, or your map is upside down? I mean north and south are switched around, aren't they?
How do you guys travel? You have a rental car?
We did get a rental car for that part of the journey! It’s possible to get around with Grab as well to most places in the vicinity (like the waterfalls). There are also day tour offered or you could also rent a scooter which is cheaper than a car!
Do you guys have international driving license? How did you drive there?
This is what you see on video but reality isnt as good. I did stop by chang rai and visited a tea plantation (tour sold by educational tour company). Chiang Rai is a boring city really, after a week you are done there.
Lol.. after a week you can get bored in any city?
My house is near Tea Plantation 101. It's a pity that I didn't get to meet you☺️🤟🏻🥰
Would’ve loved to meet you! Such a lovely area 😌🥰
How much is car rental price daily? 🥹
I don't exactly remember but we booked online via Rentalcars. We picked it up in Chiang Mai and dropped it in Chiang Rai after about 2 weeks. It wasn't very expensive (I think around 350€ for the entire trip)
