A wrinkle in history.
During the New 52, Ares had a much different relationship with Wonder Woman.
First of all, he was not the cause of war, he was only it representative, and his appearance would change over the ages depending on what mankind believed war was. Meaning that it was said you could hear him singing across Olympus in the ancient days when War was glorious. But as you meet him in the modern world, he is a grouchy old man that's frequently drunk, reflecting that War had stopped being glorious and that it had now turned terrible.
By then Ares is old, worn out and has given up on almost everything he once was. He had a brief resurgence recently, when he found one being, that might replace him: Princess Diana. But when she rejected his old ways, he fell into depression before another matter forced Diana to kill him, and taking his place as the God of War, as he had intended.
You guys always do a fantastic job.

Dude! First of, I'm a big fan of what you do here, I always have a good time watching your videos. That being said, you didn't have to mention that Ares was the villan of the movie, like you I was staying away from the later trailers since it seems they don't know how to tease the movie without spoiling it. And even they don't mention the villan... I would have been happier if you hadn't referenced the movie. I would have been happily surprised when I saw the movie.

Ah yes ares in marvel, my first encounter with that ares was this free comic I found at the Fort Campbell Exchange. It was about hulk raging out being taken down the Hulk by the Avengers and the US military teaming up. Ares leading the military.
