Really enjoying this build, one thing about Bubbly Dance + Coalescence I really like is how the Coalescence Effect sound tells you when to reapply Bubbly dance. Makes keeping track of the buffs so much easier

not only b dance but for example the magnamalo skill is extremly strong as well for general purpose especially now that stuns are harder to chain, it provides a new layer of hard cc that has his own buildup so it's even good in multiplayer as nobody uses it and the first proc is instant and you'll get 2 easily. It is definitely something I'll try to incorporate more for my melee build and it may have a room for some speed build, for example I can see it having value for GS scripting or weapons that are low on hard cc(some ele bowguns, dbs, etc...). It's almost like using paralysis tbh except it's 3 skill points and it works with everything. The cons is that it makes you wiredash and it is only good for coalescence. I haven't tryed it but I think it synergizes with sleep, for example: monster enrages, you hellifire proc, you topple monster with it THEN you sleep the monster, the monster re enrage and you re topple it. ^^' (basically gaining topples from sleep wich is pure bm)
I love when smarter people than me figure out builds that incorporate skills I wrote off as bad or memes. Really shakes up the game and gives another side goal to farm for, or in this case pray for RNG haha Edit; after lots of fishing I got a bubbly dance 2 / redirection 1 3-2-0 charm and am gonna try it with this. Just slot in a bubbly dance in a spare 2 slot and gave it a few spins. Very fun build I like this.
Personally, sunbreak is an absolute crazy speed blast but it still feels the least monster hibter like of all the monster hunter games ive played before, and barely below frontier, in terms of crazy bs hunters can abuse to absolutely bully monsters. However, i do like the sheer amount of horizontal viable fun builds there are.
I've played SnS, Bow, GS, Swaxe, GL, IG and Lance so far in Sunbreak. I'm so happy with how diverse the meta is. There are so many viable options and interesting ways to play now (although GL needs more lvl 8 options). Balance wise, Capcom has done much better this time around compared to Iceborne. Great video by the way. I'm going to test this out when I jump on next.
while it is true that there are more viable weapons inside the same weapon tree now, weapon balance is nowhere to be found. bow is way more superior to other weapons, even better than LS. only GS with bomby strongarm stance can come close to its damage. LS and bowguns follow it, the rest are left in the dust. in sunbreak i play with Lance, LS, DB, IG, HH, CB, Hammer. In icebourne i was MR999 with 1700 hours, and i played 13/14 of weapons. while it is true that bowguns were cheesy the rest was way more balanced.
@@zolozoro58 I think he means armor and skill wise, because in iceborne almost all of the melee weapons used basically the same armor set and skills (Master's touch, Garuga greaves, Rex Roar mail, then those were replaced by rating brachy legs and chest) in sunbreak you do have more options casual wise, you dont use 5 pieces for almost all melee weapons, I do remember bows having options but yeah thats it
@@zolozoro58 Yeah. You've got a fair point. I'm not sure about LS being above things like SA and SnS but otherwise I agree with you. I'm not too worried about balance weapon type to weapon type being a bit off. If there is a good amount of useful weapons to farm in each tree, I can forgive the disparities between weapon classes. I'm fast approaching 10k hours in MH and having >100 saved sets is certainly a big part of why I'm still invested. If my G.Lance runs take a bit longer than my bow runs, that's fine. Just happy to have the diversity in weapons and armour.

To be honest I never really looked at Bubbly Dance because I always thought that you first need to get Bubble blight to profit from it, and so the skill is only useful against Mizutsune...
Had the same idea, very interesting indeed. Seems you could reactivate coalescence in multi-player, sense other hunters knock the bubbles off, which would activate coalescence.
Thx goodness, i've been using a bubbly dance build for quite a while now, thx to my BD2 Rapid/Normal Up2 11 slot. Manage to squeeze both resentment5 and resuscitate3 to all of my Rapid Elemental build ( except thunder ).
I'm trying this with LBG, but a couple problems. 1)I can't really tell when coalescence procs because of the cancerous spare shot notifications spam. feelsbadman 2) It's hard to keep up the fanning manuever buff if I use fanning manuever as a secondary switch skill. I still really like the bubbly dance idea cause I don't sacrifice my life for damage. I saw this video and hella thought it be nice for element LBG. Eitherway, I chose this path to suffer. The augmentation was hell, but It feels like an art project lol.
I've been adoring using blood lust + bubbly dance + Resus, Coalescence and a level or two of chain Crit and the damage output and minimal danger of either Mail of Hellfire or Dereliction has made my hunts, especially with high level anomalies, a lot more comfy
I was doing this exact combo for SnS last night but it was way too risky for it to be a good choice for me lol, it really does give you a ton of attack though I love it. I use it on ranged weapons in online though, pierce and rapid make it a fair bit safer.
Professional and Informative, there’s always room for improvement but this guide helped me out. I’ve lost touch with bow builds since the nerf on MHW “pierce builds” but this looks enjoyable to use the bow again!! Thanks again again.

Im honestly surprised. I decided about a week and a half ago to make a Bubbly Dance/Dereliction/Furious/Coalescence/Mail of Hell Fire mixed set bc i had a bubbly dance charm fall into my lap. Honestly, Ive been enjoying the hell out of it, and not just from a visual standpoint. It just _feels_ good to use, and my raw is almost constantly at around 483-498. I dont see myself not these skills unless forced.
Been running an almost identical build for a few weeks now and really enjoy it. Was joking about making a bubbly build and the deco gods blessed me with a bubbly 3, earplugs 2, (3) slot. Lots of fun, even if youre not trying to be meta the synergy is really strong here. and you get covered in bubbles.
If you see this could I get your thoughts on Harbinger's Battlebow+ (Ore Tree 2), its 360 Raw, Rapid 5, (1)(1), and a (3) rampage deco. that gets Charge 4 without needing Mighty Bow Jewel. As opposed to needing to slot in Mighty Bow Jewel on the regular elemental Rapid bows.
I like the idea. Wanted to do the same for a blademaster build with Grinder (S) added to the skills and also the Seregios skill to get an additional buff everytime I "dance" to get my sharpness back. Haven't finished it yet, because I am still working on other sets, but yeah good to know that I can also use it for bow (which I neglected using ever since Sunbreak dropped lol).
Coalescence was added in IB I believe. Also would you take a look at ibushi narwa build if it’s viable at all? I took a look and it can be very interesting and comfy. Great video btw bubble dances buff is no smaller than other hp draining skill

I love this build and it definitely does more damage than your original meta build, my only gripe is that I can't fit in Evade Extender anywhere which is a comfort skill I value. But still, great work!
Hey Tidus, quick question: how do you eat for fighter lvl 2? XD I played around with the position of the dango, and I can either get lvl 4, 3 or 1 of the skill, but never lvl 2. It’s like that with most of my other food setups as well, no food loadout has a lvl 2 activation skill, only lvls 4, 3 and 1 :( Edit: nvm, just deactivated hopping skewer and all of them are lvl 2 now xD
I got lucky with a Wex2 BD2, 3-1 talisman, and I built a whole set around it cuz it was fun and resuscitate is so strong. glad to see I got something right XD
the fact that mail of hellfire and BD are proccing resuscitate and coalascence on and off is what makes this good: you could try a similar thing with the storge helmet and bloodlust and BD, although that is more crit focused
Storge = arc, i already have arc chest because it give both bloodlust and resuscitate 2. Also mail if hellfire does not proc Resu and coal, it’s not a blight
My main bow set is bubbly dance rapid set. Not yr suggested build but a comfy one with decent damage. Lucky i have a charm with 2 lvl bubbly dance, 2 lvl stamina surge and 1 2lvl slot

Haven’t tried bow yet in MR since I’ve been hard focusing chargeblade after the juicy buffs, this seems like a good start very different building for bow from base game lol
Soooooooooo gooooooood I tried this and fell in love, u said the evasion 2 was not what u aim for but it helps me a lot, I tried so hard to slip some in but with this set I can have it all the while keeping my damage high, and I tried to make it chain crit 3 cos I happen to have a bubbly 2 chain crit 1 and 3 1 with kamura bow I can make con3 chain crit 3 and all the things needed, but with Kabura bow being a non elemental I felt its not really worth it so Im finding another way to squeeze out more damage, btw what I’m trying to say here is that ur bubbly set is so interesting if critical and wek become 4 slot dec this build would definitely become my main build, the only downside is it drains my health like crazy with blood lust and derelection one wrong move and im ded lol
Yes lol, but you can try the non suicide version if you don’t like the health drain, the damage is very close. It’s the second build I showed in the video
I tried that too but I cannot fit all the gems in, unfortunately, so I have to go suicidal, btw for me personally who is not really good at bow having dereliction defense down and blood lust at the same time is asking for a cart lol so I have to change it a bit but I really thankful for ur idea
Coalescence.. Resuscitate and things like that aside, how much does Evade Window 2 actually benefit frames though. Like would Dodgebolt be much easier with it? If yes, how much easier? Things like that are curious too, because 4 frames is pretty tight. And of course, practice helps, but not everyone is a speedrunner. Multiplayer definitely changes things up so no matter how well you know the monster in multiplayer it can be harder to pull off, so if Bubbly Dance helps that frame be less tight, could be nice! Worth looking into if it does affect.
Same effect for EW2, it is 2 frames in 30FPS, and it only increase the i-frames, not the counter. If you get hit at frame 5-6 and still in the hitbox afterward, you will still get hit. Haven't really thought about bubbly dance for bow (I'm not a bow main, i just dablle a bit in it), with how much dodging you do to maintain your charge. I just use bubbly dance for my ls build. But thanks for the idea of using coalescence with bubbly dance. Guess i have to tweak my ls bubbly dance set. Hehe
OMG what a coincidence I found this video. I got a charm today with bubbly dance 3, evade extender 1 2-2-0 This is like a god charm for this build holy moly, was using it for a fun Hunting horn build but this will use it to it's full potential!
It's also worth noting that for non-dereliction builds, using quick breath jewel can instantly trigger coalesence and restore health when swapping scrolls. So you don't have a 30s wait for blight recovery and can get way more uptime on coalesence
I didn't read anything about bow in Sunbreak yet, but what's with Bloodlust instead of Bubble Dance? It gives you constitution and evade window 3 while active ( net 2 points of skills more) or affinity while you're not Frenzied, while bubble gives you nothing when not active. I personally would skip Dereliction in this case though, as double health drain is quite brutal.
There is bloodlust on this build, you use it only for the affinity. The other bonuses, while nice, have too low of an uptime to be relied upon. Bloodlust is a good bonus though and is on every set. In this build bubbly dance just adds on top of bloodlust, it doesn’t replace it
I love these types of sets, personally I also don't run meta. For reasons even on bow I love using Blood Rite so I try fitting it in, but if I get a charm I will use this for sure and give it a shot, though I hope I will get one that gives 100% bow freedom
It's a shame Blood Rite healing feels broken (in the bad way) for Bow because it doesn't heal for multiple hits if they're too simultaneous. I kinda hope they fix that so I can try going back to using it, but I'm also getting attached to the Shell Studded Sash for that Ballistics 3 and Rapid Up 1 I get out of it
two days ago I recycled a lvl 3 Bubble dance with 1 lvl 3 and 1 lvl 2 slots talisman because I thought it wouldn't ever be good. I didn't know those blights still counted as blight as they pretty much become a positive buff when you have those skills, I feel very stupid now :(
I just made the build it's awesome 🙂 the blows are heavy the life draining is less than the full suicide build. the defense si less but it doesn't change anything since bow takes 35% more damage no matter your defense.
you are right, bubble blight can proc coalescence, i forgot about that completely, sadly has a common mortal, i need to slot defense 7 to not get clapped by the anomalies, so i cant play around with my builds as much as i would like to
I've been getting a ton of bubbly dance 3 talismans and have been melding them away with prejudice. Looks like I have to start looking more carefully for them going forward.

I love this build and it definitely does more damage than your original meta build, my only gripe is that I can't fit in Evade Extender anywhere which is a comfort skill I value.
But still, great work!
Hey Tidus, quick question: how do you eat for fighter lvl 2? XD I played around with the position of the dango, and I can either get lvl 4, 3 or 1 of the skill, but never lvl 2. It’s like that with most of my other food setups as well, no food loadout has a lvl 2 activation skill, only lvls 4, 3 and 1 :(
Edit: nvm, just deactivated hopping skewer and all of them are lvl 2 now xD
You don't get level 2 with the special skewers. Either you pick normal ones for every skill being 2 or 4, 3, 1 with special

I got lucky with a Wex2 BD2, 3-1 talisman, and I built a whole set around it cuz it was fun and resuscitate is so strong. glad to see I got something right XD

the fact that mail of hellfire and BD are proccing resuscitate and coalascence on and off is what makes this good:
you could try a similar thing with the storge helmet and bloodlust and BD, although that is more crit focused
Storge = arc, i already have arc chest because it give both bloodlust and resuscitate 2. Also mail if hellfire does not proc Resu and coal, it’s not a blight
My main bow set is bubbly dance rapid set. Not yr suggested build but a comfy one with decent damage. Lucky i have a charm with 2 lvl bubbly dance, 2 lvl stamina surge and 1 2lvl slot

Soooooooooo gooooooood I tried this and fell in love, u said the evasion 2 was not what u aim for but it helps me a lot, I tried so hard to slip some in but with this set I can have it all the while keeping my damage high, and I tried to make it chain crit 3 cos I happen to have a bubbly 2 chain crit 1 and 3 1 with kamura bow I can make con3 chain crit 3 and all the things needed, but with Kabura bow being a non elemental I felt its not really worth it so Im finding another way to squeeze out more damage, btw what I’m trying to say here is that ur bubbly set is so interesting if critical and wek become 4 slot dec this build would definitely become my main build, the only downside is it drains my health like crazy with blood lust and derelection one wrong move and im ded lol
Yes lol, but you can try the non suicide version if you don’t like the health drain, the damage is very close. It’s the second build I showed in the video
I tried that too but I cannot fit all the gems in, unfortunately, so I have to go suicidal, btw for me personally who is not really good at bow having dereliction defense down and blood lust at the same time is asking for a cart lol so I have to change it a bit but I really thankful for ur idea
Coalescence.. Resuscitate and things like that aside, how much does Evade Window 2 actually benefit frames though. Like would Dodgebolt be much easier with it? If yes, how much easier? Things like that are curious too, because 4 frames is pretty tight. And of course, practice helps, but not everyone is a speedrunner. Multiplayer definitely changes things up so no matter how well you know the monster in multiplayer it can be harder to pull off, so if Bubbly Dance helps that frame be less tight, could be nice! Worth looking into if it does affect.
Same effect for EW2, it is 2 frames in 30FPS, and it only increase the i-frames, not the counter. If you get hit at frame 5-6 and still in the hitbox afterward, you will still get hit. Haven't really thought about bubbly dance for bow (I'm not a bow main, i just dablle a bit in it), with how much dodging you do to maintain your charge. I just use bubbly dance for my ls build. But thanks for the idea of using coalescence with bubbly dance. Guess i have to tweak my ls bubbly dance set. Hehe

It's also worth noting that for non-dereliction builds, using quick breath jewel can instantly trigger coalesence and restore health when swapping scrolls. So you don't have a 30s wait for blight recovery and can get way more uptime on coalesence
I didn't read anything about bow in Sunbreak yet, but what's with Bloodlust instead of Bubble Dance? It gives you constitution and evade window 3 while active ( net 2 points of skills more) or affinity while you're not Frenzied, while bubble gives you nothing when not active. I personally would skip Dereliction in this case though, as double health drain is quite brutal.
There is bloodlust on this build, you use it only for the affinity. The other bonuses, while nice, have too low of an uptime to be relied upon. Bloodlust is a good bonus though and is on every set. In this build bubbly dance just adds on top of bloodlust, it doesn’t replace it

Pretty cool. I love these types of armor skill interaction. I don't even play bow, but the build is pretty interesting.
I love these types of sets, personally I also don't run meta. For reasons even on bow I love using Blood Rite so I try fitting it in, but if I get a charm I will use this for sure and give it a shot, though I hope I will get one that gives 100% bow freedom
It's a shame Blood Rite healing feels broken (in the bad way) for Bow because it doesn't heal for multiple hits if they're too simultaneous. I kinda hope they fix that so I can try going back to using it, but I'm also getting attached to the Shell Studded Sash for that Ballistics 3 and Rapid Up 1 I get out of it

two days ago I recycled a lvl 3 Bubble dance with 1 lvl 3 and 1 lvl 2 slots talisman because I thought it wouldn't ever be good. I didn't know those blights still counted as blight as they pretty much become a positive buff when you have those skills, I feel very stupid now :(
For LBG, HBG and Bow user it's such a breeze when you play MH Rise on PC

the life draining is less than the full suicide build.
the defense si less but it doesn't change anything since bow takes 35% more damage no matter your defense.

you are right, bubble blight can proc coalescence, i forgot about that completely, sadly has a common mortal, i need to slot defense 7 to not get clapped by the anomalies, so i cant play around with my builds as much as i would like to
