Oh man, this was my first video game and I got this in 1998. I was 4 at the time and I'd play this everyday until like 3rd grade. Those good ol' days, nostalgia.
This game had some of the best music to immerse you in the levels. Still own this game for PSone, but lost the case it came in. Still the games plays great even after all these years. I'll put it in my PS2 and play every now and again, seeing how fast I can beat everything.
This was an amazing game, the style was spot on with everything: graphics, music & sound, writing, you name it. Really top-notch stuff and severely underrated IMHO.
WOW. That is much, much clearer than any other Gex 1 track on youtube. For a brief moment I actually had flashbacks to playing this. God I love this game...
1:41 is where the good part of this track starts. I have to say, Gex was one of the best platformering games ever, and the gameplay wasn't even that much of a step from the rest, besides wall climing, but Gex was funny as hell, and kept me playing it for the few years that i did. If I ever see another copy of this game, and I have money, I'm buying it on the spot. The guy really needs a new game. x)
Oh yeah the first boss Morphina is based off of the possessed character from the movie that’s based on an event that happened, The Exorcist. She also appeared as an Easter Egg in the third and last game of the franchise.
So I decided to download this on my Vita, today... To think my only prior experience with this game was a one-level demo on Windows back in the mid-1990s.
"I like the slime boys, nice touch"
"That's for 12 years of Full House!"
Nice music
Massive props to whoever did the music for this game. So good all around!
"Reminds me of Ed tapping his birthday keg."
