Looking at your sifting that you push back and forth looks like it must be on rollers to since it appears to be slightly elevated. Would love to be able to see the bottom side of your sifter. I already I have a sifter I made with 1/4" screening which I move the material thru the screening by hand but . I like your system and would like to make my own.

Good afternoon ! Like I said, I am seriously hooked on your TH-cam channel. I can’t get enough! It seems like you were very knowledgeable and caring. You’re awesome.
Hi Ann, is there a video where you point out your business and what can be expected from worm revenue. For example, in my country, if I'm interested in starting a system like yours, what kind of profit margin and total revenue should be expected? I know this depends a lot on sourcing and supplies and marketing, but I'm just kind of generalizing the question.
Right now, it is very difficult. I am barely breaking even. I have seen so far in the last four years about three worm farms go out of business. The supplies are expensive. I tried to use also what I already have and natural things. I use a lot of leaves because I have them.
Can you use shredded cardboard instead of pine shavings??? Not sure what I can get in the uk but I do have coir. And it’s becoming a bit too wet over the 3 weeks.
Does everyone freeze their leaves or sand before putting in their worm bin?? I am afraid I will bring bad bugs into my inside worm bin. Would freezing or microwaving even work?
Freezing them definitely works. I also makes diatomaceous earth in my leaves the food grade kind. I also suck my leaves and very hot water for a few days that also works.
@@TheGardenAndWormLady thanks for your reply my first time of doing it this way, just have one tote enjoy working with them but not happy with the worms
Every bin has mites no matter what but I control their population. I use diatomaceous earth the food grade. I sprinkle it on the surface and outside the bin. I rub it in all the edges and I leave it alone. Within a few days this gone
@@ridzuanomar828 I've read that sticking a piece of bread in the bin and leaving it for a few hours will bait the mites. They go into the bread and then you can throw them away. I haven't tried this yet but I plan to!
Thank you for this great info! It's nice to see you using the pine shavings. I have TONS of pine shavings that I use as litter for my rabbits, and I was wondering whether it would be safe to use in my worm bins. Do they readily consume the shavings or do you just use it for fluff/bulk?
Peat moss is being eliminated from use as it is a huge problem for depleting these carbon sinks. If you can avoid using it, please do. I find coir pretty darn good, mixed with very fine mulch or sawdust.
Hi sunshine. I have sooooo many tiny white worms that I don’t know how to get rid of them. Can you help me with that.? Also, how does one Oder something from Amazon but credit you! Thanks kiddo.

Nope

Afternoon from South Africa Can you perhaps give me the size of the sifters please need to get them im new to worms

Water is Life !!!
What's your best production word is it the red wigglers?
Yes the red wigglers
What are the conditions to provide for hatching cocoons
Lots of moisture, I use heating mats and get the bedding to about 80°F
Do you have red wiggle only or are your mixed
Mine only red wigglers no mix

Yes but put your tapwater in a jar with the lid off and let it air out a few days before using

I use a scale with a metal bowl on it inside the wormery, when I am at my desk working, are use an electronic scale

Not that I know of, if it’s a natural and compost outside, I think Worms can eat it

I use the moisture meter that tells me whether it’s moist or wet and I just gauge by my experience
