- Las Vegas police have arrested a man in connection with the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. A grand jury indicted Duane Davis on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. Journalist Lena Nozizwe, who has followed the investigation on her podcast "Tupac's Murder Was His Case," joins CBS News to unpack Davis' relationship with Shakur.

They've known for two decades now. One detective ruined his life, figuring this all out. And no good will come up the decision even after we know. This is not huge news, they just finally decided to grab him

Because Puffy initially put out a 1 million dollar bounty on Suge Knight and Pac.
At that time, Puffy had the South Side Compton Crips(Keefe D, Orlando, etc) as protection anytime he and Bad Boy had business in LA.
Suge had MOB Piru bloods as security on Death Row records...
Obviously the whole East Coast VS West Coast Death Row Vs Bad Boy drama was heating up at that time and things were getting to a boiling point.
Puffy got scared after Pac and them dropped those diss records with death threats, some other violent incidents happened etc.
So Puffy secretly put up a 1 million dollar bounty and Keefe D and them took Puffy up on it.
Vegas happened and it just so happened that Orlando and them was also in the MGM and DR associates informed Pac and Pac foolishly rushed Orlando and they all jumped him.
This act obviously hastened whatever plans Keefe and his crew already had for them tryna pop Pac.
They got the opportunity and seized the moment when they pulled up(in white Cadillac) next to Suge BMW on the Vegas strip, which Pac was on passenger side....and opened fire.
So yea, Puffy gotta pay for HIS role in this!
