Tamilnadu is the only state to have the distinction of being the starting points of the Western ghats, the Eastern ghats & the Deccan plateau❤❤❤❤❤ .The spiritual city of thiruvannamalai marks as the Southern gateway for the Deccan plateau.
Karnataka too has both western and eastern ghats, Biligiri Hills in Chamarajanagara district is of eastern ghats and western ghats is spread across the state.

There is actuallly no definition of Deccan plateau, Deccan plateau is more of a historical term than geological term. Ancient scriptures called anything below Narmada -son vally as Deccan (meaning south). Hence comes the name deccan plateau. Some books classify every thing below narmada son valley as deccan plateau hence including western ghats, easterngahts and satpura in Deccan plateau. The plateaus in deccan are formed by different process, in different time frames so there is no geological similarity to call them in one unit. Finally answering your questino for UPSC purpose you cann call chottanagpur plateau as deccan plateau if you want, However, Chottangapur plateau is part of peninsular plateau and since it had its own characteristics therefore it has been explained in another video.
Dakshina=Dakkhan=Deccan=South all are same but spelled in different lang.... Below the Vindya Range everything is south according Bharatiya history...❤❤❤
