I am a farmer in Kamareddy Telangana. I am happy to know about this video. NRSA makes studies on these regionns on water levels, soil types and provides important inormation for public. Our lands are on a plaetau and water is Black Cotton. Water is not retained in the soils, they drain away, farming is rain water based promarily. Basalat and Granite rocks are under ground.

Tamilnadu is the only state to have the distinction of being the starting points of the Western ghats, the Eastern ghats & the Deccan plateau❤❤❤❤❤ .The spiritual city of thiruvannamalai marks as the Southern gateway for the Deccan plateau.

Is Chhota Nagpur Plateau, not a part of Deccan Plateau?

    • @zetaupsc
      @zetaupsc  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

There is actuallly no definition of Deccan plateau, Deccan plateau is more of a historical term than geological term. Ancient scriptures called anything below Narmada -son vally as Deccan (meaning south). Hence comes the name deccan plateau. Some books classify every thing below narmada son valley as deccan plateau hence including western ghats, easterngahts and satpura in Deccan plateau.
The plateaus in deccan are formed by different process, in different time frames so there is no geological similarity to call them in one unit.
Finally answering your questino for UPSC purpose you cann call chottanagpur plateau as deccan plateau if you want,
However, Chottangapur plateau is part of peninsular plateau and since it had its own characteristics therefore it has been explained in another video.

Sir first of all Thanking you so much for creating videos on geography..
The way you explained Himalayas formation and physical features of India and what not .and those really helped me to understand better
I gained a lot of clarity by watching your video, which I struggled with before..
      And regarding to your question
      types of vegetation in India..
      Tropical Evergreen and Semi-Evergreen Forests
      Tropical Deciduous Forests
      Tropical Thorn Forests
      Montane Forests
      Littoral and Swamp Forests
      And
      one more topic if possible
Distribution of Key Natural Resources across the world (including South Asia and the Indian sub-continent); factors responsible for the location of primary, secondary, and tertiary sector industries in various parts of the world (including India)..
      I know I’m asking more 🙏
