I have just had my class 20 delivered and after the success of my last video I know that people like to see how I do my sound fitting. A big part of this with new models is choosing the right parts to fit, so in this video I show some of the things to consider whilst choosing sound and speakers for this model.

Hi Richard, the PCB looks very similar to the one in their re-tooled Cl.24, to which I installed sound. To overcome the lack of space I removed the factory fitted speaker and it’s enclosure. Using two of your sugar cube speakers (assembled to 6 - 7 mm high), I wired them in parallel and stuck them together with double-sided tape to form an overall speaker size of 23x15mm. It fitted perfectly and produces a decent quality sound. I will probably go for the same setup with this model. Peter

Heres a thought, what are the chances of turning that PCB over and standing it off the chassis block to the height needed to re-fit the body? Everything looks like it plugs in on that PCB, so it would be easily reversible if it doesn't work out. That looks like it could win some valuable space in that cutout in the middle of the chassis block, which is just wasted space at present.
Pity the double I -phone slim does not fit. I have fitted that to the older model and sound is superb. I will be interested to see what you end up with and then a sound comparison.

hi Richard looks a nice model but why after taking over 5 years to design and manufacture a complete new loco why is there not more room for better speaker and why o why are their no working marker lights
it's a good job you have answers for the speakers hope some body can get the lights working correctly until then I won't be buying the new 20 .
End of rant keep up good work your speakers and services are great i can't recommend roads and rails too highly

What speaker would you recommend for the sound decoder of your website the class 50 hornby one
Hi, if you need a 4 ohm speaker use the 25x25 megabass, if you need an 8 ohm speaker use a 24x30 bass enhanced
