This is an iconic performance! Elvis is so fabulous-in tune with every instrument, voice and feeling in the song. I have loved Elvis my whole life. His voice is one of a kind, a gift from God. Elvis has been used, misunderstood and abused since his career began. People have used him to push their own agendas, when all Elvis wanted to do was use his gift to support his family, make people happy, and have them experience the presence of God through his music. Unfortunately, people using him continues today-but true Elvis fans know his talent and his love. He was not a god, he was a man, but he developed his talent to a very high level of skillfulness and it was coupled with his passionate personality, humor, charm, humility and love for his fans which caused him to be loved and admired around the world.
There will never be another with that level of fame in a world where social media and cell phones didn't exist. He's still the most famous man of all time
Elvis was the most amazing singer of all time. He was also an amazing human being. He was generous, unpretentious, humble, spiritual, and treated everyone with respect, and then there's the amazing music and concerts and fun movies he left us. The King Forever Reigns ❤❤❤
That was a Flute. Elvis loved to share the spot light with his band & back up singers. He had a voice straight from Heaven. Watching documentaries about him will help to understand him better. He sang from his heart. At Sun Studio in Memphis, he paid $4 to record a record, a birthday gift for his mother. Side "A" is called "My Happiness." "You could hear Elvis at the age of 18; he doesn't want to mess up," said Marchese. "This is his one take to do this and he wanted it to be perfect." Someone at the studio copied it & played it on the radio & the rest is history.
How can anyone not love this man's voice.. its just everything.. He was and still is the King.. who can come close ?? The passion.. the control.. the charisma.. just amazing
Well he is under the hot lights used back in the ‘old days’ made you sweat! Elvis was respecting his upbringing, dirt poor in Tupelo ( south) and his success ( north & south) and his love of country, the lullaby to honour the black people who were slaves & his love of Tupelo & Memphis communities who helped care for a young boy & his Mom & Dad. Elvis as a young boy, loved to go into churches to hear the gospel singing, as well as be on the streets listening to blues music and songs. Elvis always gave back to those communities, he never forgot where he got his voice & spirit. Elvis gospel songs received more awards than of his other music 🥰 He was a true humanitarian as well.
😂 I saw him in my 30's and couldn't move. Literally, when he came near, I froze. He had a presence and a charisma about him that is unexplainable. Many celebs and fans have said this.
I love the fact that Elvis wasn't ashamed or embarrassed to cry in front of the people. He cried on a few songs although most people want to call it sweat.
Elvis is the full package❤❤ there will never ever be an entertainer like my beloved EP!! I was only 10 yrs old when I first heard him and loved him from the start and...... that love fir this amazing man never stopped❤❤❤EP forever ( I am 77 now)

CV thank you for playing Elvis songs. Loved Elvis since I was 13 no one like him. Thank you thank you for introducing him to a new generation. All the negativity around this great man is very unfair. ❤❤❤
I hear you Kally and i heard lot's of those Negativity and the jokes when i was young and now that i'm listening to him it's amazing voice and soul of this man is what i connect with.
This concert was shown around the world via satellite. 1.5 billion people, a quarter of the earth's population at the time sat in front of their TVs to watch him sing. There wasn't any watching it later or recording it at that time. You stopped what you were doing to get home to make sure you caught it. I was around then. That's what people were talking about. Getting home to watch Elvis. He was a household name.
Actually, it was broadcast to several countries but not the U.S. that night. It was delayed in the U.S. because of the Super Bowl. One can find the entire broadcast concert on TH-cam-“Elvis-Aloha”. There were five songs in the U.S. concert that were added to the original. TH-cam has the recording of the practice of those songs
How can you beat this as a live musical performance. Elvis is definitely one of the Goats of Music and performances. He basically stands on his own in his category. If you tried to challenge him for superiority he always try to out perform the best of the best.
Such an incredible performance from Elvis no one could perform like him its why he's the goat 🐐 it was the flute which is beautiful great reaction thank you it gets me every time only Elvis can affect you like that he was amazing he was cool totally 😊😊😊

CV, this platform NEEDS good people like you. Without you and other people presenting the solid soul of such a good man, the disgusting rumours and lies will remain unchallenged. Whether someone likes Elvis or not is unimportant, but for every person who bothers to delve deeper into who he was and what he stood for, it diminishes that hatred. Sometimes, one rain drop at a time is enough to erode a mountain.
In 1973 there were 4.5 Billion people on Earth and 1.5 Billion people worldwide saw this Satellite concerts. That's 1 of every 3 people on Earth saw the concert. More than the freaking moon landing by 600 million!!! How Insane is said that CV ?? BTW this was supposedly when he wasn't at his most popular.
This performance is magnificent! Makes me cry every time. His voice and the orchestra. His movements and the control over the entire thing is absolutely amazing!! ❤️❤️
welcome to the elvis comunity :) think about this: that was 50 years ago, how many of todays famous artist/singers will be still heard every day on social media and radio/TV in 50 years?
This performance is iconic. Elvis , a proud patriot, singing across the planet , conscious that he is representing his country, dressed in his beautiful Eagle Suit that he commissioned to emphasise America, shining with his heart and soul. But this time I was enjoying watching your face!! So expressive and your body language spoke volumes. We could see you getting chills and see the awe in your eyes. Lovely reaction yet again, you can now understand why people adored Elvis. Not only gifted in everything musical but also a generous, kind and charismatic humanitarian who wanted to make people happy. He really thought he hadn’t achieved anything memorable with his life and would be forgotten! Well here we are now, nearly 5 decades after his death, with people like you,CV, keeping him relevant and introducing new generations to Elvis. Thank you so much. 🙏👌💕🕺

Missed you man, what a great one, this show was a benefit for Cancer. He was so generous. this was seen around the world, over 2 billion tuned in to watch it. this song was about the civil war in America. The North and the South, there is also a little of a black spiritual in it. He loved doing it so much. He felt this one. he was executive producer and he controlled every note. I watched it on tv. What a man, what a voice, what beautiful human. thank you CV, you da man.😍

You just witnessed THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THIS WORLD WILL EVER SEE!!!!! Elvis had it all the looks, moves, voice power control, passion emotion and charisma like no other. When Elvis sang you didn't just hear him you felt him as he touched your very soul., NO auto tune NO pitch correction just pure PERFECTION. An emotional performance by the King. American Trilogy tells the story of the South, Dixie the North Glory Hallaluah and All My Trials a African American Spiritual. The story of the Civil War. The instrument you liked is the flute. As always a heartfelt reaction ❤
Dude, don't close your eyes or turn your head away from him. You will miss little moves that he does. He is unpredictable when he performs on the stage. ❤

You would love How the web was woven, Tomorrow never comes, Lovin Arms, I'll never fall in love again, I'm so lonesome I could cry (from Hawaii concert).
This whole Aloha concert is phenomenal. This particular song is three in one (so trilogy) - two American anthems, one representing the south (Dixie) and one the north (Battle Hymn of the Republic), plus a lullaby related to African/American spirituals (All my trials). So once again Elvis is including everyone, and his jumpsuit is covered in American eagles because this show was beamed across the world via satellite and reached over a billion people in 1973. I must have seen this performance hundreds of times now but it never fails to tug at the heartstrings. Elvis forever ❤
You have just touched the surface of Elvis recordings as he recorded over 800 records. You can never go wrong with this music. Another one that I love is the live version in Vegas of Make The World Go Away.

This was the story of the American Civil War...just in case you were unaware! Only ELVIS could do this in such a remarkable wsy! He was, is, and always will be the KING of ROCK and ROLL! I was there! This was the first Concert to be televised around the World! Over 1.5 Billion people tuned in to watch it! ❤
You just went to Church!❤👑❤️

You would love How the web was woven, Tomorrow never comes, Lovin Arms, I'll never fall in love again, I'm so lonesome I could cry (from Hawaii concert).
NO WORDS ❤
HIS VOICE😢😢😢😢
THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS MEN
This whole Aloha concert is phenomenal.
Well said and I totally agree.
You have just touched the surface of Elvis recordings as he recorded over 800 records. You can never go wrong with this music. Another one that I love is the live version in Vegas of Make The World Go Away.
This was played at his funeral
Yep, you get Elvis. He's interpretation lyrics, music and emotions is out of this world.
