my thoughts on the overhaul (based on this video's points): skins: i like that we can have 2 skins now, movement players will definitely have a blast with hermes and stilts, but you could also just equip the stethoscope or the bloxy cola hat if you want, for the first time there's actual potential for builds hybrid lobby: i really dislike this. the lobby was perfect, if mobile players needed more optimization on it, it could have been done, or better yet, make it so you can choose whether to respawn as a ghost when dying or go back to the lobby (both options allow going into your inventory, shop, etc) effectively making for a better "hybrid" than just the boring concept of leaving only ghost mode in maps: i love the new maps, drab is finally not a horrendous map to play on if you don't camp, the new size makes it fun for players like me who enjoy speeding through the entire map, and it also gives more room to dodge and escape to movement: while movement was awful in the overhaul, it's perfectly fixable and adjustable to be more like classic evade, so that should not worry you guys. i much enjoy the concept of bounce pads, but if these could lead to finding cheesy camping spots, then allowing the bots to use the jump pads as well would be a pretty chaotic but fun way to balance it out testers and tiktok: absolutely agree, testers just did not do a good work and knowing the community's wussy practices when it comes to finding glitches or ways to cheese the game, most of the testers were just not suited to give their insight on behalf of the rest of players. evade tiktok right now is mostly a mess of emote jumpers, whereas players who specialize more in horizontal mobility and trimping should be prioritized more than these users who flex more than they actually play the game swimming and climbing: if you ask me, swimming would be alright for the most part. climbing is a more complicated subject because it could get in the way of trimping. my idea would be just making it toggleable as a gameplay option, and make it so you can only do it on ledges you're not high enough to trimp on (so climbing stairs would be impossible, but bumping into a cliff or fence would allow you to climb over if you think fast) r15: i don't mind it, it'll probably feel really odd with the different hitbox and movement might be slightly affected, but my main concern would be the interaction between r6 and r15 (nico's nextbots allows both r6 and r15 but coop emotes glitch when the 2 players have diff body types, so i don't know what would happen with, for example, an r15 carrying an r6) hns/oddball: i won't comment on these because i didn't play those, but infection was a really fun gamemode and should be brought back for sure special rounds: no jumping and no sprinting should probably be removed and replaced with buff/debuffs like you said. randomizer is really dull right now, as you either get a useless gear or you get a gun, which is also useless because you can't kill a bot or even slow them down with one. you're only good in randomizer if you get grapple hook or decoy, something most players already have equipped all the time because they're broken map hazards/gimmicks: 100% agree, with the overhaul there's big potential for maps to have props which affect the gameplay, like the geysers and boost pads you mentioned, as well as moving platforms, teleports, trapdoors, automatic gates, maybe buttons or levers that affect the map without necessarily being map objectives (imagine turning on low gravity in the inside of the moonbase, or activating death traps in maps like scorching outpost or potential factory themed maps) all in all i'm excited for the overhaul and everything it may bring in the future, but i just wish the devs communicated more often with us via leaks or just talking in the game discussion channel, they pretty much stopped doing that after overhaul was reverted a few suggestions of mine: -coop emotes -animation packs in points shop/battlepasses (running, jumping, idle, reviving, downed) -skins that sacrifice horizontal mobility for vertical mobility (bunny ears for higher jump, or zero g core for lower gravity, non stackable with special rounds or map gravity -stickers, so we can just open up a ui or press a button to quickly say thank you when we get revived (also meme potential and more content for points shop)

I can see why they think players over 300 would know about movement and what's good for the game, but I can't help but be concerned since majority of the high level players or even leaderboard players simply don't play the game for movement. The whole reason why they can still play the game after so long, is simply because they don't have to or they barely put any effort into playing. When it comes to testing, being extremely high level or having clout should have 0 effect on whether or not you make it in. I get that Beef or Oyster aren't going to actively look for the best movement players, but at least put some effort or background checking into people. I'm pretty sure around the time they were looking, some admins or moderators decided to delete the community clips channel for some stupid reason. That channel would've been extremely helpful for helping Beef know who's best fit for testing moment or giving advice. I am honestly amazed TruthUnHeard/Z3vil_Sold1er wasn't noticed or considered for testing, cause he's literally as perfect as it gets. He's at least decently known for his amazing movement especially without scroll jumping, he's almost level 300, he has no history with bans or warnings, and he's as unbiased as it gets. I don't doubt they would've noticed him if the community clips channel wasn't deleted but who knows. (Lots of ranting about testing so sorry about that, but otherwise I practically agree with all your suggestions lol)

People had talked about stuff that wasn't evade related so many times before I did, but just because it was me and that I mentioned tix in it he got angry? he then banned me after creating the new fake rule that didn't exist before, and then deleted the entire clips channel a few months later because he didn't like me. yes he deleted the entire channel because I mentioned his name once. the moderation system is unfair, unjustified and so corrupt, I'm never going to appeal for that server, if they want me back they can do the right thing and unban us. I ain't getting on my knees and begging to be unbanned
(Warning this is really long) Journey doesn't care too much about his ban, but mine is still questionable. We were both given 0 reason or warning whatsoever about our bans, and no link to any support server unless we got it via third parties. Ignoring the fact they gave little to no information whatsoever, the bans themselves felt targeted. I'm not going to say my ban was unjustified, since if I recall there was a rule against "racism" regardless if it's a joke and not directed at anyone or some petty shit, but I still don't see how it wasn't a warning instead. I could've had 3 or more warnings but from what I recall I had 2 max. One warning of me "bypassing words" when I was referring to the name of a song, and probably something from before that I barely remember if at all. I cannot help but feel that at least my warnings and bans were biased or targeted. I had received my warning for bypassing practically around 30 minutes or more after I had even sent the message, or in the case of my ban, several hours after I had even sent the message, so long that I had completely forgot I even said that. I personally highly doubt they were scrolling through the channels looking at texts from minutes if not hours ago, I think it's more likely they just searched under my name for anything remotely bad, but who knows. Maybe they just like reading old text, even hours old text, maybe that's a requirement for moderation. But I find it super hard to believe whatever I said was ban worthy, as if they haven't said anything nearly as bad. Take this with a grain of salt but apparently a mutual friend of mine, went onto an alt account, said the hard r right in front of an admin, and all they got was a verbal warning. I'm not going to sit here and say that moderation is garbage without a doubt, since I don't know anything behind the scenes besides my questionable ban, but we can't help but feel suspicious about it. From what I've seen they treat talking about banned players like mentioning Voldemort, but when given the opportunity to talk bad about or slander journey regardless of not knowing him, they take every chance they can. They won't mention me or my ban unless it's to call me racist, They don't mention journey's ban yet they'll shoot at every opportunity to mock him or to shit talk him, it's gotten so bad to the point even Beef has mocked him. Sorry about the essay, this is just an opportunity to finally explain our frustrations and suspicions, we don't care enough about our bans regardless. Let me know what you have to say, feel free to talk as much as you want because I'm as curious and open minded as it gets.
You do realize neither of us have direct access to evades community? The most we have is third party screen shots, or telephone game advice. Watch the actual video, then you'll realize it's not focusing on the bugs that'll inevitably be fixed, and neither does it focus on why overhaul was reverted. It talks about the update actually being good, and concerns or suggestions we have for evade down the line (actual advice). There was a bunch of stuff overlooked in the overhaul that was genuinely and actually good additions, 2 skins being one of them. I think the fact it was out for only 8 minutes plus people pulling a blind eye, being upset about the shit movement, for the most part overshadowed a good majority of the additions that were genuinely good. I'm personally excited for stilts + hermes but after all it's of no use if they still butcher the movement system.

I cannot help but feel that at least my warnings and bans were biased or targeted. I had received my warning for bypassing practically around 30 minutes or more after I had even sent the message, or in the case of my ban, several hours after I had even sent the message, so long that I had completely forgot I even said that. I personally highly doubt they were scrolling through the channels looking at texts from minutes if not hours ago, I think it's more likely they just searched under my name for anything remotely bad, but who knows.
Maybe they just like reading old text, even hours old text, maybe that's a requirement for moderation. But I find it super hard to believe whatever I said was ban worthy, as if they haven't said anything nearly as bad. Take this with a grain of salt but apparently a mutual friend of mine, went onto an alt account, said the hard r right in front of an admin, and all they got was a verbal warning.
I'm not going to sit here and say that moderation is garbage without a doubt, since I don't know anything behind the scenes besides my questionable ban, but we can't help but feel suspicious about it. From what I've seen they treat talking about banned players like mentioning Voldemort, but when given the opportunity to talk bad about or slander journey regardless of not knowing him, they take every chance they can. They won't mention me or my ban unless it's to call me racist, They don't mention journey's ban yet they'll shoot at every opportunity to mock him or to shit talk him, it's gotten so bad to the point even Beef has mocked him.
Sorry about the essay, this is just an opportunity to finally explain our frustrations and suspicions, we don't care enough about our bans regardless. Let me know what you have to say, feel free to talk as much as you want because I'm as curious and open minded as it gets.

You do realize neither of us have direct access to evades community? The most we have is third party screen shots, or telephone game advice. Watch the actual video, then you'll realize it's not focusing on the bugs that'll inevitably be fixed, and neither does it focus on why overhaul was reverted. It talks about the update actually being good, and concerns or suggestions we have for evade down the line (actual advice).
I have no clue what this animosity you have against me or journey is, I have no clue why you and your group still care about us so much. But politely, I request you find other people to bother and better things to be upset at.

There was a bunch of stuff overlooked in the overhaul that was genuinely and actually good additions, 2 skins being one of them. I think the fact it was out for only 8 minutes plus people pulling a blind eye, being upset about the shit movement, for the most part overshadowed a good majority of the additions that were genuinely good. I'm personally excited for stilts + hermes but after all it's of no use if they still butcher the movement system.

It's so annoying. Like I wanna see what the 8 minutes looked like!
