I'm not sure what's the purpose of this chassis... is it built to race in open class touring car races? Is it designed for TA08 chassis class races specifically?
We run them in a class that is for tamiya rc's and limited to core RC 21t motor and they do work really well but you could easily run in a touring car class with it they can definitely put in good lap times even with the 21t motor I have have run lap times where I would not be in last position in the 17.5t brushless TC class run on the same track
Not sure about the v chassis being a mistake it does allow it to be thinner and lighter and I really can't fault the way it drives out the box 1st race and won that said the 420x is flat chassis for both alloy and carbon.
@@WTFRCCars when hard cornering the weight can be brought up and exacerbate the roll and potential for roll over/traction rolling…I only see that in this car vs my other TCs. Again I like the 08, it’s my favorite TA platform (I’d like to try the SRX) but just my observation
Nice work Craig 😎😎👍👍👍👍
Thanks

Where are you in the Racelists?
Which lists ?
@@WTFRCCars Here: 04:28 to here: 05:37. OK, i mean who are you in the driver lists, sorry for my bad english :)
@andreaskassner3320 Craig Johnson :)
@@WTFRCCars Not bad. Was it in- or outdoor?
@andreaskassner3320 indoor carpet racing
Why are they outlawing the tao8?
No idea they have now allowed ta-01 to ta-05 so don't see why no ta-08
I like my 08, I think the v shaped chassis is a mistake and wish they went flat. But it’s a good TA car.

@muddfoot69 Do you run a chassis brace on you 08 ?
@@WTFRCCars no, I keep it TCS legal and run it in VTA when not running TCS. I run my X-ray for more “regular” racing
