I wanna see how the TT01 will perform on track on TAC Leg 2. Makes me wanna get a kit also out of curiosity. Since Ive tried my friends tt01 with a euro truck body and it handles great to my surprise
I think running the TT01 is hilarious, its always so intresting to see if a TT01 can be made competetive. Everyone knows a Xray or Awesomatix is gonna be strong.
TA08 with new upper deck from version R. Its best from that three cars and the only choice if you or daughter have ambitions for that race. For fun ? TT01...
I like the TC01 (inboard shocks, split shafts). However it seems to be the slowest of Tamiya's chassis for touring racing. One of our best drivers used it and qualified 6th. Then changed to a TA07 for the mains and battled for the win :)
@@rccartips Slow, but unique... I'd like to see what moving the entire motor forward so an lcg shorty could fit lengthwise down the middle under the rear driveshaft would do, along with ditching the inboard shocks, lots of plastic, chassis and suspension tuning etc... If only they were cheap like the TT-01 to experiment on.

Sold the TA05 last year to make space for the TA08. :)
Did you just use shims to take the slop out of the TT-01?

In smaller tracks I find the TT01 to be stronger than the Xray, Awesomatix, Mugen. The narrower width gives a big advantage.

The R is super stiff and I theorize it will be limited by that. But a friend will race it and we can see how it does :)

The TA07 drives better than the TA08 and much like the TB04
Many seem to pick the TA07. Even in the Tamiya Asia Finals other countries chose it. But they lost to my daughters TA08 :D
