The SanFran AC was great. Those AC72 were awesome to watch. The two following ACs with The AC50 and AC75 have been dull.

This was probably the craziest start of the whole cup

How can you lose the cup having such a massive lead 😮

Sprinting back and forth on a bouncy trampoline that was moving up and down at 40 mph, it's always amazed me that someone didn't go over the side every single race.

That was absolutely a game of two halves, the first half, I like many kiwis here in New Zealand and worldwide thought we were plain sailing into the history books, one more win was all we needed...that win would never come. It's strange how a boat race' can have a profound effect on you, if not a Nation. The sense of failure felt by Team New Zealand was also felt by the Team of 5 million, Gee it pain's me still, just thinking about it. We know that feeling, on both side's of the coin. It wasn't mean't to be, that time. why do I watch again, from start to finish, something that pained me? ........to feel the pain, again, and raw emotions, man, how weird is that, but it would never come close to that day, Day 12 Race 18; ORACLE TEAM USA vs. Emirates Team New Zealand, 34th America's Cup, San Francisco, September 24,2013.it made history that's for sure.

It was meant to be. In my mind, NZ won because they were way ahead in a deciding race when it was called off. But if only they had kept the foiling secret for longer 🤦🏼‍♂️

What were the reasons for this fall down for TNZ? The began with a lot victories in the final, and then... It remembers to me the Champions League final Milán vs Liverpool...

They didnt upgrade the boat. the Kiwi boat was the more stable one at the beginning of finals. Oracle strapped up their boat to be stiffer to deal with the wind loads. and also Dean Barker is a serial choker. hes lost 3 americas cup cycles. (2003, 2007, 2013)

Why is race 19 blocked in the US, we all know what happened. Unblock the content.

If there’s a connection between this and the video of the last race being blocked, it’s not at all clear.

I watched the entire series, got to the last race and it is blocked! Why? Why? Makes no sense. Is it a mistake? An explanation would be nice.

Last race is blocked, because it is too embarrassing for team NZ.

I think the US is. They had kept the cup for a long time. NZ is a blip so far in its history.

@@dulls8475 I think @roman.r7593 has a pretty good case claiming that NZ "*IS* the best at this." As of 2023, in the last 30 years an American-owned boat from a US yacht club has competed in 5 America's Cups and won 3. A boat from NZ has competed in 7 and won 4. More importantly the "American" boats have very few American nationality sailors aboard. In AC 34 (this video) it was 1, I think in AC 35 it was none, etc. Those that are are most often grinders, who are on the teams more for their physical ability rather than their sailing expertise. I don't think there has been an American skipper in the America's Cup since 1995. Yes, the New York Yacht Club defended the Cup for generations, but that racing had very little to do with the sailing of today.

@@qtrfoil read my original post. You have another 60 odd years to go. Spithill is an American citizen by the way even if he came from Australia first. Also you have a British head designer. am I correct?
