Living with an autoimmune disorder is tough. Speaking for myself, around 3 years ago, when I was 17 years old, my symptoms started showing. And the doctor that I consulted misdiagnosed me and I was taking the wrong treatment and medications and could see no signs of improvement, in fact, it was only becoming worse. After consulting a couple more doctors, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in the bones (arthritis) in the pelvic region. During the early stages of the diagnosis, the pain was unbearable, getting out of bed or just shifting the sides, getting up would take me 20 minutes. Even now, thinking about it makes me shiver. But now, after understanding how my autoimmune disorder behaves based on my life choices, and after a rough couple of years, I'm finally happy to say that my inflammations are at bay now. Hopefully, it will stay this way in the future too...
@@namaraksha7008 HLA-B27 is genetic but Ankylosing Spondilitis is not. HLA-B27 will be present in the body but it will be inactive but in some body, it will , somehow, become active and cause a type of autoimmune disease.

Autoimmune disease is very hard to live with.. I was diagnosed with Crest Syndrome when I was 9 and now I'm 21.. As SAM said some days are bad and some days you want to fight back, keeping your willpower strong is very important and just a reminder to people who are living with autoimmune disease stay strong this pain shall end one day ❤

Diagnosing myositis is kinda tough as we are not well aware of such kind of diseases and symptoms are less noticeable .
I have been suffering from myositis for 2 years now .Initially, when I told my parents I couldn't climb the bus or couldn't sit in a squat position or balance my gait ,my parents thought I was overreacting , which made me very frustrated . I felt hopeless and depressed. But soon my parents were able to notice that I had some discomfort . Only after that I visited doctor.
My health is improving well and I am sure that Samantha would recover and comeback with full strength.
I pray for her quick recovery 🙏 ❤.

Thanks for making this video, there are lot of disorders in auto immune disease. My mom has pembigus vulgaris she will have many reactions in her skin like blisters in mouth nd skin. At first we didnt find out we took lot nd lot of test. Later we came to know that no permanent treatment for this disorder, steroids are only option and doctors suggested to take Rituxan injection which will destroy her whole immune system and create new one. So we completed infusing Rituxan injection dose1 nd need to take her for dose2. We are believing that she will completely recover from this and hoping the best. Main thing is we have be confident and do not stress., keep motivated, have to do yoga for relaxing body nd mind.
My mother has also taken two doses of Rituximab.. It really helped her to bring down the severity of the disease.. It happened in 2018, still on medications but managing well.. This autoimmune disease called Vasculitis affected her skin and kidneys..

@@yuvaranij30 from high dosage to low gradually they stopped it.. She was on steroids for a period of 6 months.. That two doses of rituximab really helped her

Im just 16 , and My mom had the same kinda disease 4yrs back , which is called lupus. But now she's fine , she's struggling with the symptons . But she is better than before . So I just hope people diagnosed with any issue, pls dont overthink and research abt the disease coz it can further spoil ur mental well being too

I'm working as a nurse, I felt so bad about the patient's with SLE, they'll have joint stiffness, bodyache, anxiety, sometimes fever, loss of appetite etc but still they will handle with smile...Really hat's off to the people who is fighting with that diease👏

it must’ve been really difficult for her :(( my mom got diagnosed with autoimmune (lupus) last year so i know how difficult it must be for her to work and take care of her health too. i’m so glad she talked about it because it took MONTHS for us to get proper diagnosis especially during covid lockdowns and the hospitals refused to take us seriously and the lack of knowledge about this disease made us panic at that time. celebrities like her having a huge platform in media helps other people at least a little bit knowledge and awareness about this. it’s not easy admit that you are sick with a life threatening disease so i’m glad she’s talking about it making people aware about this. autoimmune is actually really common and the reason is still unknown so now at least a handful of the people are now aware because of her. autoimmune would often demotivate people to live and leads to depression so i hope she takes care of her health and comeback with amazing movies soon💗 also if anyone who has been struggling with any kind of autoimmune please try to do yoga everyday. it keeps your mind and body in control at this time. i’m not a doctor or anything but as someone who looked after an autoimmune patient who almost lost her life last year because of the disease and depression , i can tell she’s happy and healthy now by doing yoga. it was the only way it kept her motivated and keep going.
Also on a side note people with autoimmune will be taking steroids in the beginning and reduce the dosage gradually so they gain weight a lot and their weight fluctuates so i hope no one fat shames her during her treatment course because of it.

Madhan thanks for this video many people are not aware of auto immune systems disorder .This disease named as SLE . I know in detail about auto immuno it since my own sister passed away 10yrs back when she was 25yrs . This generally attached 90% for women . My sister was auto immuno attacked in blood .she admitted in hospital in 15days she passed away and no medicine found till now it's genetic disorder and steroids is only treatment if your body accept it you can live with medical treatment. My sister was is critical condition it triggered all sudden she was very talented person and she struggle till her end . When she passed away her blood was just 3 hemoglobin and treated in chennai famous hospital.
