    Just watched the video and the only thing I think you missed is the super fine filter bag that the fruit is put into before going in the inner bowl. That contains the watermelon with no overflow.

    You have to shred the carrots first

    Mash your fruit in a blender and if you could get a vacuum blender even better because this unit comes with a mesh bag you put all your fruit and vegetables in a blender with skin peel seeds at all and then you put it in the mesh bag slide it underneath the press and Wala do you have incredible fresh juice with all the nutrients that you would never sign and juice from a store

    This would be a great option for the 2nd stage juicer. That's for those of use who want to get the most out of our juiced fruit and vegetables. We would run everything as normal through a slow juicer then run the pulp left over inside a juicing cloth through THIS juicer to get what may have been left behind by the slow juicer. This is a much cheaper alternative than purchasing a 2-in-1 machine like a Norwalk juicer. Just get this juicer and something like a Kuvings and you're all set!

      Nice idea, I found the giant version of this at a thrift store brand new for 10 bucks but haven't found a use for it yet. I have Four Omega masticating juicers that I use daily, squeezing the pulp sounds like I can get a higher yield. Thanks.

    Carrots would most likely work if they were grated in a food processor or carrot pulp from a juicer. Small carrot slices are too firm for this type of press. Too much force on the press to juice the carrot will damage the press.

    For carrots, you should get an electric slow juicer. I have one from Sana, and it works great. I bought this one for grapes. Hope it works. I haven't tried it out yet.

    I think I'll use this as the second stage after my Dynapro vacuum blender. The fact that there are no suction cups or something to secure it to the counter shows bad design on their part.

    how much pressure you estimate this has? since you cant do carrots i am wondering if i gets the maximum amount of juice out of say apples.

    • @JohnDaniels
      @JohnDaniels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question, I did do some apples and they were very easy to do not much pressure It works perfect for those items like apples grapes but I would not buy it for anything hard you'd have to get a juicer I have a video on my channel of a juicer doing a whole apple that I bought that I love the juicer I put carrots sweet potatoes apples everything in that and it just juices out but it's electric so if you wanted a non-electric device then this one would be a good one If you're just doing apples grapes but if you're doing anything hard check out my other video or if you like electricity and you're doing apples check them other video That electric juicer is incredible I absolutely love it I'll use it everyday

    Torchietto advertises theirs as being a soft fruit press. I got mine to make apricot nectar since Kern's & Goya & everybody else have so much sugar added.

      How has your press been to use?

    • @StillWatersRunDeep101
      @StillWatersRunDeep101 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danthelambboy I have since donated it. The inner barrel that lowers as it's screwed down manually allows for fruit to squeeze out the sides and is missed and wasted. It was cumbersome to rewind the press all the way back up, place the 'escapees' back in, then turn the press wheel back down. The press wasted some juice too from the bulk that gets processed, kind of messy and not quite able to squeeze all the juice out of the remnants, most though; not like an electric juicer which leaves very dry compost. For A PREPPER, this or any manual press would be very welcome to have.

    I wonder for those that do NOT have a regular juicer if one might be able to grind things like carrots into a pulp by using a food processor? Might be worth a try.

    • @JohnDaniels
      @JohnDaniels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct you can use a blender and I've always used a blender but in order to get that many carrots the juice from that many carrots in a blender you couldn't drink it all I've tried it's just too much but you can blend like one or two carrots and apple but if you try to blend 10 carrots or five it's you won't be able to drink it'll be so thick or just be so much fiber that's the reason that you'd use a juicer but you're right if you didn't want to blend that many carrots then I would definitely stick with a blender, cuz you do get the fiber and it's so much easier to clean up it's cheaper all the way around it's a better deal.

    • @leeforex8441
      @leeforex8441 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JohnDaniels I guess it depends on what you want. I know for myself, if I'm juicing I'm not interested in the fiber at all so I'm only interested in the juice and getting as much of that as possible out of it.
      Depending on the size of the carrots and the size of the apple a typical combination, to get 8 oz of fluid out of these two produces, is one decent sized apple and three carrots. That's from using two stages of juicing.

      John Kohler has a channel, Discount Juicers or something, where he reviews gadgets. He currently recommends vacuum blending and then filtering the juice through a nut milk bag to get the highest quality juice. I'm thinking this could replace the milk bag.
