Hey man, love the channel but honest question - why are you chumming? I'm sure you wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of sharks around if you skipped the chum 🤷‍♂️

Good move with artificials. People get stuck in the same spot all day with bait. It's good to move around. I like monster 3x or power prawns with 1 oz or 1.5 oz depending on current and wind. The Vudu shrimp are good but they are too light to me. If u get the bait down deeper u can get muttons, grouper and hogfish too.

Hi I came across your TH-cam channel when I was searching on tips on how to fish off the 7-mile bridge. I live in Miami and I've driven 4 times to the 7-Mile bridge, I usually get there around 11 AM and fish from the beginning of the bridge. I use chum, and live shrimp to fish but I never catch anything 🙁but then I watch videos like this one and I obviously know that I'm doing something wrong. When are you coming down again, maybe I can join you?

@Dillon a bridge not far from my place over the river where I live I'm going to fish. It's ideal I seen because I can get the whole width of the river. It's especially awesome because there's a near by coffee shop I can go to so that's why it's especially ideal. I hope to bag some stripers I got nice gear to bag stripers. Soft plastic eels swim jigs to put larger soft plastic fish an have a swim jig that looks like a Sand eel coming that I know stripers love. Hopefully I'll make out catching a striper

Yeah dude , you need to invest in a good penn sen. 6/0 or 9/0 and put a few hundred yards of a good 60-100 pound mono. Or at least a 4/0 Penn with some 40-50 lb. Then get yourself a good strong 400+ cable with a sharp big hook . Start taking these little fish your catching like that jack and put a hook in their AZZ. Then we can have a good time !
I mean I get fishing for these small fish if it's something your gonna take home and eat . Snook, red, trout, or flounder ( my favorite out if the bunch ). But otherwise let's catch something that won't let ya forget about it so quickly. Something big and strong that 3 days later your still feeling it and give ya that " hell yeah" I caught a 7-10 foot long bull , tiger, or hammer . 👍. Thats the type of blast I'm talking about.
Or drop a little stingray down by those structures for big ass grouper, or a catfish for a 150 pound tarpon . Yeeee f-ing hawws yes let's have some fun ! 👏🥳😃🤠

Born and raised in Florida and have fished off many many bridges from top to bottom of this great state both East and West coasts and have caught every kind of fish out there BUT I HAVE NEVER USED CHUM - - - EVER - - EVER - - not even from boats and that is 78 years of doing this - yes I started fishing when I was born just like I started swimming and diving very very young. . . . . You CHUM you will attract sharks for miles. . . just sayin' . . . I also think you are using way too light tackle for bridge fishing.. there are some monster fish down there and that light rod isn't going to cut it . .you also need either a gaff line or a net like that gentleman had for bridge fishing. . .

@@dillonfishing I’ve been fishing the bridges in the Keys before you were born . Small spanish mackerel swarm around just about every bridge in the Keys during the winter. Cero’s are found more in open water and over reefs/shipwrecks. Plus they are known to be a non schooling fish, so when you said you could see them in the water that implies they were’ schooled up” which Spanish macs do but ceros do not. While it is possible to catch a cero from a bridge it is an uncommon occurrence and the ones that are caught are usually in the #3-5 pound class. In the hundreds of not thousand) of days fishing from a Keys bridge I might have caught a total of 5 ceros.
