DUDE!!!! HOLY SHIT!!! The flashlight trick worked!!! I’ve been so frustrated trying to figure out what happened one day it just shut off and your “hold the flashlight really close” trick worked!!! So it’s the backlight that is broken!’ Thank you so much for the help - now o just either need to fix the backlight myself or get a new tv. Thanks!!!
Thanks for the information. My tv have sounds but no pictures, after trying all the step and the screen shown some dark pictures while using the flashlight pointing on the screen.

What are you on about really??? None of these even work ! For one I don't have button for 2 not everyone has a remote and how is a remote meant to work without batteries and if you tv isn't coming on at all not even the light how the hell are you meant to change hdmi when clearly that isn't the problem!! I have changed fuse and everything
I have the problem that the Screen is Black. You can see something when you get very close to the screen or light with a Flashlight. It cant be the HDMI because you would still see the menu which i cant. So its probably the LED failing.I will never buy a Toshiba TV again. It lasted 3 months after the warranty ran out.
OMGGGG PLS HELP ME. I haven’t opened my toshiba tv for like 5 years now cause I’m using a smart tv and then I found my hard drive with some videos and I really wanted to watch it so I went over for my toshiba tv BUT IT WONT OPEN. 😢

So its not good to switch to Toshiba because you may get the black screen problem. Its better to stick with Sony.
