    They really downright removed the fingerprint sensor on the button which is a huge feature for my personal use, and also lowered the charging speed despite the device needing more power to operate now that it has a more demanding and better screen resolution.
    I own the pad 6 pro since its release and been using it daily, don't see any reason to upgrade to this sadly unless you need all the latest snapdragon chips and a higher resolution on the screen.

      Base model Xiaomi Pad 5 and 6 don't have a fingerprint support. It's always a feature for the Pro tablets. Pad 6 has 33W and Pad 7 has 45W so it's basically an upgrade, plus you get a more efficient chip inside. I think you should be looking at Pad 7 Pro and not this one lol

    This tablet is 70% better value than competition while also having a charger in box, which is neat, because for people like me my GaN charger is 67w, not enough to charge my laptop, my phone and tablet at full speed, getting a charger makes it possible to AC my laptop while having a separate charger for a Xiaomi tablet and phone.

    I love IPS displays, OLED displays are technically a consumable and when the display starts to degrade I don't want to use it anymore. IPS 1080p+ HDR 120hz is all I want from a tablet display.

    • @FusionHyperion
      @FusionHyperion 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      I never saw an OLED display degrading since my first OLED phone in 2016 (ZTE Axon 7).
      IPS displays are also degrading and getting burn-in anyway and have horrible black colors.
      OLED should be the way to go for every modern tablets for media consumption.

    • @SyrFlora
      @SyrFlora 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@FusionHyperion U may not experience that. But from 2nd hand marketplace in my area... Most of the phones that got screen problems are the oled one's.. Especially oneplus, samsung, apple, xiaomi etc.
      Green line, white line, green tint, white screen, black dot.
      I know some people are concerned with the trend biasing on more oled failure.. because many come with OLED nowadays.. but trust me.. even 5 years prior.. the trend already showing.. oled is less reliable in screen related issues.
      Even though it gives better visual quality... Contrast wise, brightness wise, and also saturation wise. And it is thinner than lcd.

    • @TheNewBloodDan
      @TheNewBloodDan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Nemesis_678 I think he's confusing image retention. Image retention on IPS can go away if you display something new or turn off the display for a bit. With OLED all you can do is hide the burn in by using a uniform pixel refresh which is basically tiring out the other pixels so it's all uniform again but that can only do so much.

    Nothing will evolve on tablets until GOOGLE adds a NATIVE Android desktop mode. Only then will it encourage developers to create an additional button in their apps to add Advanced features in your apps when you enter desktop mode. Then Google will have a closer competitor to Windows

    Meduim sized OLEDs are not yet refined enough to be produced economically with high yields compared to small OLEDS for phones and watches. In the OLED tablet space, you either get a high end model (the likes from Samsung and Apple) and have the best OLED tablet experience or get a midrange tablet with an OLED panel with a mid-2010's look (uneven colors, banding, smearing, and horrible PWM dimming). I understand why Xiaomi would opt for an LCD screen at this price point to give users a much better viewing experience.

    Price-wise, this is baseline iPad territory. Granted, there is a much better screen here, but even the 2022 Pad seems miles ahead when it comes to battery life and raw performance.

    • @RidwanGosal
      @RidwanGosal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      Okay I just look. In term of raw performance they r pretty similar with the snapdragon processor leading in GPU department. Also the same with battery life. So I'm not sure what r u insinuating when you say A14 is better in term of raw performance when it's an old chip that's fighting last gen flagship processor.

  • @Lintrl
    @Lintrl 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    @TechTablets Not sure why the performance is “disappointing”. The 7+ Gen 3 is one of the best performing chips in the midrange. It’s very similar to the 8 Gen 2 on the Samsung Tab S9 and the Xiaomi Tab 6S Pro, both of which are significantly more expensive. You literally cannot find a better performing tablet on the market right now for under $500 (yes including the iPad 10, which has an A14 that performs similarly to the 7+ Gen 3)

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well you can get other tablets around this $360 much that are much faster with flagship grade chipsets. But yes I get what you on about its' a midrange chip. But I was thinking more the price.

    • @Lintrl
      @Lintrl 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @Techtablets The 7+ Gen 3 in this tablet is actually a "flagship tier" chipset in disguise. Like I mentioned it performs very similarly and has similar efficiency to the 8 Gen 2. No other tablet on the market right now offers this level of performance at the $360 price point.
      Maybe you got it confused with the 7 Gen 3? Because that is a midrange chipset that has much lower performance and barely outperforms the Snapdragon 870 in the Xiaomi Pad 6. Blame Qualcomm for their confusing and frankly misleading product naming schemes

    Whattt.. good performance, yesss. But, battery so so, no video out or 3.2(pad 6 have that), no new functionality. Maybe at least got fingerprint or something. Maybe price we pay along with pen(minimal). Maybe super low latency for pen. Maybe can use third party pen. And so on. I dunno what I'm saying but hey I will still stay with pad 6 for next years. Or other options.
