Today we are going to share with you Morning market in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Tons of stalls are selling all kinds of foods and products including Malaysian traditional one. Some of them have been selling for decades there. Very busy during weekends and quiet on Monday as most stall operators rest on that day.

I Like Malaysian Food Very Much Especialy Chinese Food, I Missed So Much.
Thanks for making this video. I grew up near the area and almost every morning I'd go to this market with my mom for food shopping and of course breakfast. Haven't been able to go home since COVID and will be stuck in UK for a while and this video is just what I needed as I've been missing home so much. Saw lots of familiar faces in the video. Glad to see the donut granny still healthy and continue to sell her delicious sugar donuts. They are the best!
Same as you. I am actually not from KL and have not been able to return to my home town for the last 3 years as well. I am glad that my videos are useful not only to the locals but also to those far away who have nostalgic feelings.

Basically, the price of pork varies depending on the part, so you declare the quantity you want and they weigh it and tell you the price. You can also tell them how much you like it, like more fatty or less fatty for the same portion.

Cantonese in Malaysia sounds a bit different from Hong Kong. Malaysian one sounds nasally with heavy ng sounds, maybe influenced by Hokkien and Malay much.
You are right. Many people in Malaysia have roots in Hokkien. But at the same time they speak both standard Chinese, Malay and English!

The KL market is around 70% similiar to singapore's wet market. There are some unique food that can only be found in KL.
