Native Groundcovers for Shade with Kelly Gage

    Add the finishing touch to your shade garden with native groundcovers. Groundcovers not only add an aesthetic quality to your garden but will lower maintenance with weed suppression while simultaneously providing erosion control and habitats for wildlife. This program will look at plants that grow well in Triad shade and partial shade gardens.
    About the Speaker
    Kelly Gage is an at-large NCNPS Board Member, Triad chapter member, and the Membership Chairperson. She gardens on 6 acres in Guilford county and is a biologist that worked in Environmental Management Enforcement in NC.     For me Hay scented fern has been a very aggressive grower, and in almost full sun and moist soil. So much so that companion plantings are swamped without weeding some of the ferns out. I'm further north in suburban NY zone 7. So as they say...your milage may vary (!)
