i was at Le Meridian cochin with my family for another occation and vacation so happened to see how it was done. Love you Sujatha, Chitra, lovely mother Janaki and many. you contribution will never die.
As per wiki I calculated soundtrack Chitra sang 120 songs and Sujatha 114 . This I just counted manually .This include all dubbing songs as Rehman song used to come out in Tamil,Telugu and Hindi. But his initial year films dubbed sound track not available .As per above calculation Chitra and Sujatha almost equal ,with Chitra sang 5-6 songs more. Since Sujatha Reahman office itself confirmed this she may be true. She has recorded albums and jingles even before Rahman started his film song before his film career started with Roja. This make Sujatha most recorded female voice for ARR
Along with my Bank colleagues, all aged in mid 20s ( If my memory is correct, end of 1974,) I attended a music programme conducted at Gandhi Museum, Madurai. Most of us are fans of K J Jesudoss. Mr Jesudoss called a small girl of 8 years old (wearing frock) and briefed her profile in short and said that she is going to sing a duet song with me Even after 45 years still my memory is fresh of that young girl's outlook and the voice. . She got a thundering applause. .
