First mode, 2nd mode, and 3rd mode are the limit settings given by the company for safety, power saving and effeciency. They should not be compared for speed winning. They can be changed easily through software settings. If a bike goes faster than it should be, even in first or 2nd mode, then it is the failure done for the purpose of customer appeasing. Real test is about speed at the top mode, stopping effeciency at brake, pickup effeciency while carrying two heavy people and riding steep hills without the feel of dragging.
