সুবহানাল্লাহ! দেখে মুগ্ধ হয়ে গিয়েছি। আসলে দার্জিলিং সম্পর্কে অনেক উচ্চাশা ছিলো। আপনার ভিডিও তে কিছুটা হলেও ধারণা পেলাম। সবকিছুর সত্যি রিভিউ দেয়ার জন্য অনেক বেশি ধন্যবাদ। আমরা সবাই ভিসাও পেয়েছিলাম যাওয়ার জন্য। কিন্তু করোনায় সব আটকে গিয়েছিল।

Dear Farooq Bhai,thank you for your video recordings on the views of Kanchan Jangha Peak and subsequent drive through villages of the hilly district of Darjeeling surrounded by deep forest.
During my visit to Darjeeling I had look at township areas. But it never occurred to my mind that village areas in Darjeeling District can have more attraction.
But your drive through village areas in Darjeeling has revealed that the rural areas in Darjeeling can be equally charming.
Your tea break at Bunglow No:12 is amusing.
You complained of want of sufficient cleanliness in utensils and dining table in the town itself.
The main cause is there is huge water crisis in the Darjeeling town itself.
Most people depend on rainwater after storing in a reservoir. Darjeeling being on a high altitude, it is not possible to pump up water to high level, because water level cannot be lifted more than 34 feet by its natural property.
However, a master plan should be taken up by the Authorities to make good the short supply of water after taking experts' opinion in this respect.It may be also examined whether the local fountains' water can be utilised to store water in the reservoir.The matter may be taken up by the Government.
Over crowding is another cause of failure in maintenance of perfect cleanliness.
However, the matter is brought to the notice of the Authorities.
Your grievance on the issue of cleanliness has been compensated after taking meal in the Didi's Hotel.

ভাই ভিডিও দেখা শুরু করতেই মন ভালো হয়ে গেল কাঞ্চন জঙ্ঘার সৌন্দর্য দেখে ,,,,, তারপর ওই বাংলোর ভিউ মন চুরি করে নিল ,,,, মনে হচ্ছে ওখানে কদিন থেকে আসি ,,,, আর যাতায়াতের পথ , চা বাগানের সৌন্দর্য ,,, কোনটা ছেড়ে কোনটা বলব ,,, সব মিলিয়ে অসাধারণ ভিডিও দেখলাম ,,,,, ইচ্ছা করছে এখনই চলে যেতে । তবে আমার ও তাই মত ,,, দার্জিলিঙ শহরের থেকে আশপাশের জায়গার সৌন্দর্য বেশি উপভোগ করার মতো । পরিচ্ছন্ন তার দিক থেকে সিকিম অনেক এগিয়ে ,,,, ওখানে অর্কিডের কালেকশন দেখার মতো । পারলে একবার সিকিম ট্যুর করবেন । খুবই ভাল লাগবে । ওখান থেকেও কাঞ্চন জঙ্ঘা দেখা যায় ।

দাদা, আপনি ঠিকই বলেছেন দার্জিলিংয়ে যদি কেউ ৪/৫ দিনের জন্য যেতে চায় তাহলে শহরে না গিয়ে ভিতরে গেলে আরো ভালো হয়। আমি একজনের ভ্লগ দেখি উনি পশ্চিমবঙ্গেরই। সে দার্জিলিং নিয়ে অনেক ভ্লগ করেছে এবং দার্জিলিং এর আসল সৌন্দর্য উনি দেখিয়েছেন একদম সেখানকার লোকাল জায়গায় যেয়ে। সেখানকার লোকাল জায়গায় আপনি হোম স্টে করতে পারবেন একদম লো কস্টে। আর সেখানকার প্রকৃতির মাঝেও মিশে যেতে পারবেন। ওদের বাড়ি ঘর, খাওয়া দাওয়াওর ব্যবস্থা খুবই সুন্দর। পারলে একবার viral scope চ্যানেলটার ভ্লগ দেখবেন। সেখানে অনেক বিস্তারিতভাবে দেয়া আছে সবকিছু। আপনার বাকী ভ্রমণ যেনো সুন্দর হয় এবং আমরাও আরো সুন্দর সুন্দর ভ্লগ যেনো দেখঅতে পারি আপনার কাছ থেকে। ভালো থাকবেন।

The thing that attracts me the most is your straightforward opinions and also the enthusiasm about everything..Glad to see that you are visiting one of my most fav places in this entire world! Despite all the mismanagement & apathy over the years, Darjeeling still has got the most attractive natural beauty amongst all the other hill stations in India..wish it had fallen in the right hands and was taken care of properly. It could have been at par with any international destination, like those in Europe or Northern America...I would have suggested you ro stay somewhere close to the road that leads to Darjeeling Rajbhawan and not at Ramada, which is located right near the taxi stand which is extremely crowded...thakar jayega ta ektu niribili aar porishkar jayega e holei overall experience ta ekdom bodle jaaye...tokhon e hoyto apnar Darjeeling town e thaka ta o aaro beshi bhalo lagto..anyway, there is always a next time. Asha kori apni abar jaben okhane aar gele Mall er just gaa e lagano kintu ektu pechhon diker rastar aashe pasher hotel gulo te uthben, khub bhalo lagbe aar ektu peaceful o hobe...coming to food, Darjeeling has got some wonderful restaurants/joints that not only serve good quality food but the hosts are also very welcoming. I would suggest you to take suggestions from the knowledgeable local people over there to know about those options..as everywhere else, the big names in the business are mostly overrated in most of the occasions...also, along with the regular tourist destinations, please visit places like Japanese Peace Pagoda, Jorpokhri or take the route from Darjeeling to Mirik lake...I am sure, you would love them..lastly, please take a walk towards Darjeeling Rajbhawan passing by the Church..it's serene and peaceful, specially during in the mornings..

Small and medium hotels in Darjeeling do not wish to keep Bangaldeshi tourists that is why the Bangladesh nationals have to look for accomodation in premium and expensive hotels. What is appropriate for Indian nationals is not quite the same for foreigners especially from Bangladesh. This is the policy of Darjeeling Hoteliers not of West Bengal.

Darjeeling is actually politically motivated place. They want a separate state within India but, West Bengal government won't let it happen. So, due to political turmoil nobody looks after the infrastructure of this city.
Very sad indeed.
You should visit Nuwara Eliya or Kandy in Sri Lanka.Its really pretty and developed and clean apart fromt their current situation. Being a Bengali its very shameful that this whole Bengal region is plagued by corruption and mismanagement as a result we dont preserve our tourist spots.

You are absolutely right. I have heard about the dirtiness of Darjeeling since I was born. I traveled quite lot, nonetheless I never felt interested to take a trip to Darjeeling because of the condition. Lack of water has made this condition worse. Generally the habit of people of our region ( India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal ) is messy and dirty. Those who prefer to maintain their homes and offices clean and tidy are named OCD by others. I earned this title 😅. I visited Cox's Bazar after many years. I was heartbroken. How dirty the beach town has turned ! Despite having wonderful hotels, the streets, malls and beach are indescribably dirty. Habit must be altered before the towns....

I had been visiting Darjeeling since 1962 almost thrice in every year till 2005.That place was a beautiful well organized and well maintained place earlier but since 1985 as a fall out of unnecessary political disturbances due to difference between WB state Govt ruling party and India Central Govt ruling party (happened to be different all along since 1967, barring 1972 to 1977),no improvement work is done there though millions of rupees were spent and political disturbances were brewed. মাসখানেক আগে যখন শুনলাম আপনি দার্জিলিং যাচ্ছেন আমি আঁৎকে উঠেছিলাম,ঐ নোংরা ভাঙাচোরা শহরে যাবেন ভেবে।
What you criticized is very right. Unfortunately no one loves that town which was one named as Queen of hills.Sohel bhai has given a good idea of water harvesting.

BTW ওখানে "ষোলো আনা বাংগালী" যেটা একটা নামকরা কোলকাতা based বাংগালী Restaurant তাদের একটা outlet আছে,আপনার vlog এই দেখলাম,ওখানে বাংগালী খাবার try করে দেখতে পারতেন।
I understand your anger and frustration about the fact that Darjeeling didn't get the care it deserved and completely agree that if it had fallen in the right hands, it could have been at par with any other international destination. But saying that, keu okhane jete chayena--eta kintu ekdom e thik kotha noye...Till date, it's one of the most popular tourist destinations in that part of the country. Manushe hoyto shohor tar care neyeni, kintu prokriti ekhono Darjeeling ba entire North Bengal er khetre khub e doraaj haate toiri aachhe...it's still one of the most beautiful hill stations we have in India.. ektu abar aager moton thik proshashon er haate elei Darjeeling abar swa-mohima e phirte pare...I would encourage everyone (specially those who have not seen it yet), to visit Darjeeling once in his/her lifetime..
@@saurravchakrabarty9842 Why would anyone waste money there?There are better places to go to like Sri Lanka,Nepal and even within india in other states especially in the North of India which are more developed and better maintained.
@@ios759 Well, how they are "better", is always subjective and different from person to person. The natural beauty of North Bengal is incomparable, so despite all the apathy from the administration, these places will always be in demand.. I agree to the fact that the administration there hasn't paid the minimum attention for the development of this iconic tourist town and it has only led to deterioration over the years...but as the people from this state, we have to be hopeful and project this beautiful place in a positive way, specially infront of those visiting it from outside....

অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই আমরা অনেক কিছু উপেক্ষা করি, চুপ করে থাকি.....কিন্তু এমনটা হওয়া উচিত নয়। আপনি যা বলেছেন একদম সঠিক বলেছেন ভাই। দার্জিলিং গিয়ে আমারও স্বপ্নভঙ্গ হয়েছিলো, শহরটি খুব ঘিঞ্জি এবং নোংরা। আকাশের গায়ে হেলান দিয়ে থাকা শহরের এরকম অবস্থা দেখে মনটা দমে গিয়েছিলো। পর্যটক আকর্ষণের জন্য যা যা করা উচিত তার কিছুই সেখানে নেই। আপনি আপনার requirements অনুযায়ী সার্ভিস না পেলে কেন টলারেট করবেন? অবশ্যই সেদিকটা ইন্ডিকেট করবেন। এতে যদিবা তাদের টনক নড়ে তবে হতে পারে সেটা আপনার নেগেটিভ রিভিউ'র জন্যই হবে।

Despite all the supposedly negative issues you have touched upon, coming from you, these well articulated words seem very believable and holds up the mirror before Darjeelingites and, in fact, all Indians.There is simply no excuse for these abysmal standards of the restaurants and, in particular, the food that is served.Deep introspection and a commitment to turn things around can, we hope, restore Darjeeling's reputation as the Queen of hill stations.
The majestic views of the Kanchenjunga range so wonderfully captutured by your lens is simply mouth watering. I firmly believe that Darjeeling, and India, in fact was waiting for a Farokhbhai to rediscover this mountain resort for us all. Best Wishes.
