Amed has always been a heaven for freedivers and scuba divers for ages. It's better for this area not to be flooded by common tourist and digital nomads as this area is still stunning, cheap and not yet westernised much 😅
Yup. But this is how it goes nowadays. People finding nice spots, but don't keep them to themselves but share them publicly with thousands and thousands of people who will then flood and fuck up those places (see Canggu -> Uluwatu). Good job everyone 👍
@@masterpropper2485 True that. They just dunno how to appreciate it as it is. Hidden gems supposed to be hidden, not shared to the whole world. And like you said about Canggu and Ulu, I miss the old Ulu when it was a sleepy town. Now everyone from Canggu are in Ulu. Then they only highlight the instaworthy stuff, not the bad stuff like rubbish and the drunk harassing tourists. Later they will complain the place is getting expensive, too crowded, bad traffic what not. And who to blame but not themselves 🙄

My friend was just there and she said it’s becoming very busy. The first time I went to Amed was in 2012 and fell in love with it. I had been there several times in the next 8 years. It had changed quite a bit since 2012, a lot of development.
One of the best and the most modern coworkind space in Bali for digital Nomads is placed in Amed. In the wonderful Bunutan Valley with stunning views of the mountain and ocean.
I just want to say thank you for doing these videos. I've watched several of your videos in preparation for a new journey and they come in super helpful. Also I love your attitude :) Cheers from Germany, Dea
Its a beautiful place, Ive been several times. Its the final frontier of Bali and i fear it will eventually be over run and commercialized for tourism. Ive scuba dived, free dived and snorkeled Amed several times and Snorkeling it is always such a buzz. Love it :)
Beautiful Amed..... So calming.....So healing..... So rejuvenating. Best places to stay are beach side, as the waves gently caress the rocky beach and lull you into sleep....like a massage for the soul. Your Images and explanations of Amed, really did justice to its CALMING BEAUTY. IT HAS CHANGED SO MUCH SINCE I WAS THERE LAST.... BUT IT STILL FEELS THE SAME....👍👍👍❤
The idol of my heart is Susan gal gadot, just right.. When I'm stressed - stress in a traffic jam, when I get home I see Susan's TH-cam video 😆 the stress is gone
Dont forget come and explore Bangka Island and Pangkalpinang City Close by Belitung 45minute from Jakarta by aeroplane Find the culture, tradition and interesting place in Bangka
Oh great! Been going there for years. Last thing Amed needs is a bunch of "influencers" invading it. Amed is a quiet village with quiet and nice people. Please be respectful.
Very informative video! My fiancee and I are looking to visit Amed. What are the options to get there if we are unable to ride bikes as we each have our check-in luggage?
Yes it is...about a 2hr drive. I would AVOID THE BOAT TOURS TO SEE THE DOLPHINS.....THE HORRENDOUS AMOUNT OF BOATS THAT CHASE THE DOLPHINS.....JUST TO SATISFY A TOURIST GREED IS SO SAD AND TO ME QUITE SICKENING....👎
Susan those fish are a type of mackerel, they are not tuna. They call them tuna mackerel, which are a large mackerel. You have to like oily fish for these.
