3-you can't stagger bosses for critical in ds2 it just stuns them

@@hankgouchey i think is called ring of whispers, it let you hear the voice of hollows to know if they are close, but also let you talk with the scorpion dude
...and you hear hidden/invisible enemies. 😉

the mace is a solid weapon, when i play cleric i start with the Mace, and beat the whole game with the mace(and miracles)
...but to be fair anything is a solid weapon in DS2 if you build it, want to use Handmaid's Ladle? there is a build for that, want to fight barehanded? there is a build(ring) for that, is part of why i love this game, basically there is no bad weapon, if you like a weapon, just use it
about mimics, they are the chests with locks, regular chests don't have locks
That's actually something I've noticed and really like about ds2 as well, almost everything seems like a real solid option if built correctly

Bro, Prowling Magus and Congregation gotta be the funniest boss in the entire series. The poor man's Deacons of the Deep from DS3. But after all the devious jumpings they've made, like Ornstein and Smough, Gargoyles, Capra Demon with the dogs, or... half the catacomb bosses in Elden Ring, 's kind of a nice change of pace.
And yo, you finally met the boy, Aldia (the tree lookin' head guy). 'S one of the more interesting characters in the series for me.
That boss fight is some of the most random pieces of work I've encountered
It’s better than deacons. The congregation all compliment each other, the deacons are just a mass of fodder.

Fun fact: you can see seath in freya’s boss arena. All pf the 4 main bosses have a connection to the lord souls of the first game and will actually drop their souls in new game plus.
Also if you get rogiers rapier and infuse it will poison, i believe the heavy attack is a repeating thrusts that if a boss can be poisoned its got a good chance of doing it within that attack
Bonfire ascetic in majula will unlock the poison butterfly armor in the shop that will poison enemies just by standing near them (npc’s too so take it off when trying to talk to them)
Also lifegems stack with each other and can be used before you take damage to already be healing as theyre hitting you. I used to pop some at near full health and just outheal enemies while we were trading or use small ones when i was at half instead of waiting till i needed to use my estus flask since the gems are faster and keep you mobile.
Youre doing great though man, alot of youtubers ive seen that do souls put this one down before even getting a lord soul

That bird waifu you freed can give you boss weapons, She’s in Brightstone Cove Tseldora inside a room. Straid in Lost Bastille can give boss weapons too.
And one thing to note Poison is actually OP and viable in Ds2!

In dark souls 1 and 2, you can't stagger a boss and then crit it/ backstab it( you can only do that on human sized bosses) that only started with Bloodborne. 😅
The upcoming Bearer of the Curse mod for DS2 let's you riposte bosses after parrying

Go back to Majula and buy the ring of whispers from a cat indside the small hut to talk to the scorpion. He will give you a fragrant branch and a dragon ring if you kill the duke's pet

very fun fact: you can powerstance daggers with other weapon types, i dont know which ones exactly but its possible

this shows what daggers are compatible with, the second weapon type shows which moveset will be used when powerstancing with a dagger, seems like daggers cant be used with hammers.

Btw pretty funny that you went poison dagger :O atm I am also using one, but in my off hand, I use it to proc poison(if I can) and for parry, and rest of the time I just 2h my main weapon.

Halberd and scythes are cheeks in this game cause of the sweetspot mechanic. Also, poison is awesome in this one, especially on dual whips.
I always want to use scythe weapons but they just suck so BAD

@@Tomuru6 if u want me to be honest, there's no way to be good at it right off the bat because it's your first time and no matter what you're GONNA be nervous. Improving on commentary just comes with time and consistency, the more you do it the more you'll get comfortable with it. At least, that's how my experience was but I believe that's the case for most so just keep at it and keep aiming to improve
