"Produce the symbol of the king" is mid-game/ endgame stuff so don't worry about that for now. The little snake portals after the primal bonfires are the dlc entrances. There's three of them. You CAN respec with something called "soul vessel." By talking to old lady in the beginning area things betwixt
@@NotPolarEX think of where you're at like you did in dark souls 1, you need 4 giant souls( the equivalent to ringing tbe bell of awakening in DS1) to get to the capital (drangleic instead of Anor Londo this time) which is the official mid-game point which after completing you'll unlock the symbol of the king ( a ring actually) (the equivalent of getting the lord vessel from Gwynevere after orstein and smough) which begins the end game.
Impressive I didn't follow a guide but I remember seeing something years ago on TH-cam about burning a windmill to get rid of the poison so I found the spot you just hard charged through and got the job done, good shit
Some friendly pointers, you have missed 1 optional boss in Hunt Copse, in Iron Keep you also missed another boss with a bonfire, its the fog wall with Alonne Knights (the very first area of iron keep with the bridge) In Shaded woods you missed the intended way forward that leads to another primal boss eventually. Targrey of Blue Sentinels after dark Ornstein is a covenant leader and you are just missing the item to join. The Shrine after rotten is the first DLC area, second DLC is after Iron King and third is in the shrine of winter, no need to care about that for now. The Snake lady wasn't supposed to be fought in an arena filled to the brim with poison, if you remember the fog wall into bonfire there was a windmill with a message telling you to light it on fire, which would massively reduce the poison in her arena, she also heals because of the poison. Overall good work on getting this far, especially beating Mytha in her poison arena. Another pointer... you missed a bonfire right before Iron King's arena, it was in that room with spikes and fires, a ladder on the left side wall. As for dragon slayer axe, its a very good weapon if you plan to invest into FTH. FUTURE TIP, no actual spoilers but putting it further down just in case. . . . . . . . . . Ahem, there is 1 secret boss that you will be able to unlock soon-ish although I suggest it for later. it requires the abyss covenant to unlock and also 1 human effigy per attempt, you will also need to light up some stuff so having flame butterflies is a must. Not saying more :] Its a mid-late game boss. And I am sure you and everyone will enjoy it.
You can "rebirth" with the weird old women from the start of the game using "soul vessels" (basically the larval tears from elden ring) Also, a fun fact about the DLC (maybe a spoiler idk) Back in the day people who bought the DLCs could summon other people that only had the base game to play the infamous "coop areas" for free using these weird statues 4:08
Yes. You must have a soul vessel to do that. There is one in the Majula mansion. If you killed them off screen, you can still respec by waiting for 3 in-game hours until their tomb spawn in and pay, I think, 3k souls. Also invest in upgrading a bow and stock some arrows if you have extra souls. It will help you a lot when you reach the Shrine of Amana.
6:39 you have to defeat 2 bosses that when you defeat it shows " great soul embraced " u defeated 2 more bosses so you have to defeat 2 more bosses to open the gate
The special thing about this is that if you summoned the npc phantom near the windmill, it will point towards the windmill, hinting that you should burn it.
Great video man, instant classic. One piece of advice I can give is remember that the torch can be used in creative ways(the windmill by the bonfire is the only hint I'm giving) and that Dark Souls 2 is obscure.
Theres a bonfire up a ladder in the room where there 4 fire breathing pillars Also the sword that npc has is fake unless you do his quest to get the real moonlight greatsword Mytha was healing from the poison, you got rid of it by using the torch to light the windmill on fire. And there was a secret bonfire outside her fog Iron keep you can use a bow and arrow to lure individual enemies and theres another boss where you were getting jumped by archers (not where you were invaded) Youve reached the point where theres alot of secrets and not as much obvious paths so using a guide here and there is normal
@@NotPolarEX also if you have a bonfire ascetic you can put individual areas in new game plus. Theres new items and shop keepers get new inventory. I recommend burning one in majula to increase mainly the armorers shop
You can rebirth at the firekeepers house at the beginning. It will cost 1 soul vessel. The first one is in the cellar of the locked mansion in majula. Good luck bro.
Mink mink, i love it Your videos feel so short, too entertaining, i need more More edits : bro, you are getting smash by not exploring but goddamn you my true hero by beating her with the poison healing her, aint no way im able to do that
Okay, so the poison arena, right? With the Medusa wannabe, right? In order to remove the poison from the arena... You have to use your torch... And light a windmill on fire, that one at the 19:10 mark in the video... _I don't understand it either, my guy._ We been scratching our heads over that for years now, I don't even know if the game hints at that in ANY way or how that even works... Setting aside DS2's tomfuckery, W video. Stay strong, brother.
you can rebirth, go back to where you go to uh the old ladies sat in a room, one of them do it for you if you have a special item, now whether you have it or not is a mystery you shall never know
@@NotPolarEX By the way, use a torch in most places, along walls you might see shadows of invisible enemies. There's one in the Forest of Fallen Giants where you kill some skeletons in a hallway.

Dude killed mytha without summon and without burning the windmill
Highly respectable for a first-timer
I knew I could get rid of the poison Ig I should've read some more
When you get poisoned your health bar goes down when mytha gets poisoned her health goes up
Ohhhh I thought it might've been something like that

Nevermind you beat her without draining the poison. Very impressive
Yea I have to learn how to explore a little more, and ty
Iron keep gonna make you crazy boy

I hate this stupid area dawg

Y'know I do what I can when I can ty sir
You are not needed
Polar : I will slap you
Mans was getting disrespectful so I had to let em know
"I want your head, actually."
Watching him fight that boss without taking care of the posion is crazy
I wish I didn't bro...
As soon as I start the video it starts playing the Zelda dungeon music. That’s when I know it’s about to be another good video! 🔥 🔥 🔥

You missed a few bonfires and a boss :O but impressive getting to the boss all the way from the start.
Cant wait for the next one !

I did catch hands with Skeleton Lord
Next time just be over leveled and you'll win

I'm sure I probably maybe I might possibly have one
I think if you burn the windmill gears that are on the higher floors the poison water lowers to have a dry area for you to fight on
Found out a lil late but we found out nonetheless ty

@@NotPolarEX Yessir!
16:22 he used his parry stand and Iron keep is the worst area from all souls games
I honestly think iron keep isn't worse than that one area in ds1 with the spider boss
bows come in handy if youre trying to do melee builds. could be hitting that boss with poison arrows or something while he breathes fire.
you can rebirth, go back to where you go to uh the old ladies sat in a room, one of them do it for you if you have a special item, now whether you have it or not is a mystery you shall never know
u could have stopped the poison by burning the windmill
IF ONLY I KNEEEEWWWW
You can respec back at the old hagas place you gotta get soul vessels tho
WILL DO😃
You wanna two hand your mace to deal more damage, it's not like you have anything in the other hand
I thought I was?

He's gone girl
Good to know someone else fought her in the poison like me. took me 1 hour😂
But you can turn off the poison then it's so ez
It fsho would've been easier but we both thugged it out🫡

Bruh, two hand that mace if you are not blocking :D

Old Iron King has to be top 3 worst bosses of the game, he's really annoying with the fire-breath spam
first why the fuck did your brother spary you with mace second you didnt get the right weapon but it will still get the job done
It was an accident we were young but it still hurt like hell💀
Damn you missed alot. I can easily say you missed at least 5 bonefires.
I figured I did honestly but still

that works in DS1 & DS3 but not in DS2 SOFTS, you have to rest at a bonfire to respawn the crystal lizards
I just wish I could hit them on the first place
