girl you love so many of your plants, you’re obsessed with so many of them, you say so yourself!!! i think if you’re not feeling great about your collection is because you’re paying attention to the bad instead of the great. you collection is amazing, and i hope you fall back in full love with it soon ❤️
Thank you so much for this 🥺 you’re so right!
This is so true. If we played a drinking game where we drank when she says she’s loving or in love with a plant, we’d be drunk in no time!! lol 😂
I've been a fan for years. Your collection is goals. In love ❤. You're doing a fantastic job even through the rough times your plants are staying strong as are you. I always say my plants are a reflection of my mental health lol but they too bounce back 😂
Yes exactly, I love that about plants. They keep me accountable when I’m doing well, and give me grace when I’m not 💚
Omg at 3:37 we could literally see how your home is coming together! The plants make it look so pretty, I’m in love 🫶🏻🥹
Your variegated Christmas cactus is very cute. I love the coloring.
I noticed that some if your plants in your milsbo are in sphag moss, is that all they’re in? I would love to try that.
your anthuriums are they in pon?

The view at the start of the plant overview of your living room area looking out to the backyard is such goals! All the plant shelves, and hanging plants, high and low. Beautiful!
That Dragon Scale is absolutely GORGEOUS ❤
It's helpful to see how it's going with the barrina lights, I have a bunch of them and just assumed all of that bar style light were similar. Now after seeing your results with a bunch of different brands of grow lights, I'm definitely more comfortable with trying the other brands, seems like it's worth the extra cost, so thanks for the update!!
You inspired me to get a gigas and I'm obsessed. I love that the leaf petioles are more compact compared to other velvet philos.
You should do some top plants in your ufo planter. That would be so freaking cute!I love all the views of your new home! Love the jungle vibe! And also love that you found a person to love you and want to live in your jungle!Im trying to figure out how you had all these plants in your apartment. It looks like you have doubled your plant collection since you moved!
I haven’t even reached half way, but omg! Your plants are incredible 🤩 everything is looking great. Definitely want to add more than a few to my collection 🤭
That El Choco leave is stunning! And your alocasias! Thank you for sharing!
Edit: Omg I totally agree on Christmas cactuses being underrated. They bloom SO beautifully, and consistently! Each one is a bit different!
Please do a video on the variegated holiday cactus
I just gotta emphasize what you said about the highland track system. It is so so wonderful. I love that the lights are angled so that leaves face forward, without having those stupid vertical mother grow lights that get in the way of the plants, and always fall over. If you’re wanting to invest in some good lighting, the soil tech highland is absolutely where it’s at!!!
Lipstick plants are so underrated.
I have a red and orange 😊 id love a pink one.
Your maranta is looking great.
If a plant is looking happy, best to let live.
fern i really feel you, i feel like some of my plants have suffered recently since ive just been working and letting things go too dry for too long (and the mealies have taken over my life its fine).
but im in love with your king of spades/HU and its nice to be able to appreciate the plants that ARE doing well despite the ones not doing well!! 🥰💚💚
Thank you so much MK 🥺 and yeah omg the mealies hahaha too real 😩
I loved that you changed it for your American friends ❤️❤️ I was like crap what is 22 degrees Celsius hahah!! You are the cutest fern! I totally wish I lived close to you we would be the best of friends seriously
I WISH THIS TOO 💚
A good general rule of thumb for transplanting orchids is to wait until you see new root nubs growing on the new growth. The new root growth insures future root systems. Bulbophyllums like moisture, so I have mine in sphagnum moss.
Honestly I feel like you should repot ur Bulbophyllum before the new growth matures and produces roots. Just don’t disturb the old roots too much when u do repot it and it should keep growing really well! Also not that they have reasonably fair roots so a finer mix and some sphagnom moss should do the trick ☺️
Nearly 23°C indoor temperature? I can afford 19°C right now so my plants will have to deal with that I guess...
I CANNOT WAIT till I'm done with work for the day so I can dive into this video 🥰🥳
yayyyy 🤩 makes the day better when there is something to look forward to!
Fern I do agree - barinna does nothing for my collection I don’t understand the hype. Now I think people who haven’t experienced soltech or mother don’t realize how rash the barinna are lol (that’s my thought) because comparing them barinna doesnt stand a chance 😂😂😂
my jaw literally dropped at all the lipstick plant blooms!
Aww your Epi NOID looks amazing Fern! 💚 And I’m loving your Ficus Villosa setup 🥹🌿🤗💖
Fern your plant collection is huge and absolutely beautiful.
💚💚
Giirrrrrl your collection is totally banging ! Such gorgeous big mature plants 😍 I loved this longer video too 🎉
ach, caudata going crazyyy! :) I have one too and she did start growing peduncle but I propably underwater her and she give up 😢But mine grow slowly in foliage though. When you are talking about gloriosum, you mention something EFN? what does that mean?
So backstory: Im deaf and watch your videos in captions. At 15 mins you say “roseau pole” and Im not sure what this is? Could you elaborate a bit more? When I google it just shows me the 3D printed poles? Is that what they are now called?
I like your little orchard, if y😢can wait to repot in spring. I have 9 orchids and I soak pot weekly for 15 minutes in seaweed and Miracle Grow orchid mix. Also be sure roots are good and not brown and mushy. Good luck
I love your Black Lipstick Hoya. Do you feed your Hoya plants anything special? I have a couple but don’t grow like yours?😊
Hi Fern, I have a question about your Moodeanum, Do you keep it in direct or indirect lighting to produce those dark leaves? It is gorgeous. I have one also, but she isn't THAT dark or mature yet.
17:31 1st thank you for switching your hygrometer for your US friends 😅 I’ve no idea how to read Celsius to F 😂
And thanks for the tip about EFN on your gloriosum!! I need to do that with mine as well
OoO your asparagus fern is about to go into its 2nd tier. I name each one and grow them to 4 tiers and then sell them and buy a new baby each time. I just love them. The THORNS are the best but not bad either once they start lol not unmanageable like cacti for me.
I need help… I bought a beautiful large pothos .. it struggles so I water it and it perks up …so lovely but it’s getting yellow leaves… what am I doing wrong???
Some plants require different temperatures and humidity levels. You may want to research some of your troubled plants and see what temperatures they like. For example some anthurium like cooler Temps with higher humidity. Other plants like monstera do well in basic room temperature with minimal humidity as you know, some may like bigger pots some may like to be quite root bound. Basically I think some of your problem plants could be fixed by simply tweaking the heat and humidity levels. Heat video Fern! You've taught me alot about plants thus far 🪴 🌱 🌵 🏵
Yes, so true! I do need to put more time into researching stuff like that. I appreciate you bringing that up. Thank you so much for watching 😊🌿
Love all of your plants! Do you remember where you got your Calathea Warscewiczii from? I have never seen one for sale. It is so beautiful.
Your plant collection is epic💚🍀🪴💛 day two of watching your videos kind of hook 😊
I love your video's and how they grow in your living room. In the corner with the mosspoles is a plant I love, but I could get the name.
I think you said .....medio medio silver. I love that plant .
Have you checked the top of your soh lately because mine was full and lush on top of the pot when it sat in the window. It got so long that I put it on my plant shelf that faces the west facing window. I pulled it down to look at it one day and the top is bare with quite a few thin vines on top. The top had died off without light on the crown. I thought if the leaves got direct light, then it would be ok. Not so. Please check the top of your soh.
Non of my Hoyas bloom! I don’t get it! I feel like they are living there best life, but apparently not!
I had a really hard time hearing this video. Maybe I'm just getting old. Love all the plants I seen.
I just need to know where you purchased those little square self watering planters please 🪴
Don’t chop them. They are full and lush. Let them grow.
Better straighten out the dubyia or it will be shingling up the back of the board.
you're not happy with your big as beautiful plant collection?
Do you put antheriums in humidity cabinet?? Or I can leave the plant out as normal
Lovely plantsss! What happened to your billie??
Thanks for the tour, made a list of more plants to order! 😁✌🏼👍🏼🪴
for my pariso verde, as long as they have heat i find they actually put out much better variegation in low light. my plants in low light are stunning and the one in high light in the same cabinet is reverted!
REALLY 👀 veryyyyy interesting, thanks for sharing!
I always joke there are dripplers and drowners. I'm definitely a drippler lol
Charmaine has fallen out of love with her diascorius chopped it down to two leaves and threw the rest away.
Your syngonium albo inspired me to chop up mine to get a bushy plant again 😍
Chingungesis, Sami’s that the plant that’s in the dolls head planter ?
I love your plant aesthetic! Very stylish. I definitely want to be like you! Hopefully I can make plant blogs just as good as your content here ❤❤❤
Where did you get the variegated thanksgiving cactus?
I don’t see any pitiful plants they all look amazing so why do you say that
Yup! I loved this video. Your collection is just soooo nice!!
I laughed when you said you were showing it to your boyfriend. 😅 I do the same to my husband or 14-year-old son…both just nod their heads. I know they don’t care, but I have to share.😂😂😂
Fern. Can you do a video about your grow lights??
I ordered a heat mat specifically for my pariso-did not help at all😂
You’ve got lots of berries. They are beautiful
It looks like your varicose needs a pole extension
Troy now if it’s really crowded in the pot.
That variegated dragon scale is flawless….. ❤😮
I wish this video was divided into chapters too. :(
Dubia is a boy and begonia and maranta are girls 😂
ENJ💚YED SEEING Y💚UR H💚USEPLANT UPDATES!!!
Have you tried silica for your variegated plants? Mine is highly variegated and started to brown and I started using silica and it’s a game changer! Even use it on my other variegated plants and Thai con. I bought it from Amazon. Just a thought. Your house looks beautiful and your plants. Thanks for sharing 🥰😍xxoo
I haven’t tried it because you’re supposed to adjust the pH when using it because it can mess that up and I’m just not mentally prepared to dive into that lol.
whats that plant @21.17 ? anyone ?
Those Hoyas need more light❤
I would not repot the bulbo there if possible. It has space for 1-2 years worth of growth. Bulbos are one of the slowest growing orchids out there and can be easily set back by unhappy repotting (that could mean years). But at the same time they have short roots and need more narrow pots...if switched without touching roots and replacing media too much it might work I guess. My point would be it is risky. As with almost all orchid repotings. 😅
Thank you for the info 🙏
I learned something new ❤
Same with my PV, in rudsta with heat mat and directly under growlight(like basically touching!)and keep get green leaves 😢
Ugh how disheartening 😩
Yay!!!!! Another long one! Ive got to come back and watch later but as a pateron member i feel so blessed with 2 long vidoes back to back 🫶
Awww thank you 🥺 your support means everything and I’m glad you’re loving the content 🥰🌿
Just now back to watch this and I can tell alot of my collection has been influenced by yours over the last few years lol
For my birthday this year I finally bought myself a varigated Thanksgiving cactus and a varigated Christmas cactus!! I've wanted them since I saw you inbox yours!
I have noticed they've been very hyped this year. I bet you've helped with that lol
Wondering if you leave your plants on your window sill all winter! I live in NJ and it can get really cold here so I moved all my plants out of the window, but I know its usually colder up by you and your plants are still in your windows!
I don’t move them! It’s usually above freezing temps where I am. My bigger problem is damage from the baseboard heater blowing on them below. I do keep an eye on them for heat damage from that.
Don’t chop the maranta.
I don't know how I missed this video but girl your plants are looking phenomenal. Im loving the white and green Varigaeted plants right now. Your Syng Albo & heart-leaf Philo....love it! That cudata Sumatra is stunning.
Hey Fern! I just picked up a Christmas cactus (green) because I’m so obsessed with your variegated CC!! The substrate my plant came in is awful. Care to share some grow tips? Just your chunky soil blend? Or does it prefer a cactus blend? Also, I’ve heard they actually prefer to stay moist but this feels so wrong. Please help! 😂😂
Oh I’m fighting mealies. I just found my tornado plant infested with mealies. There were areas that I couldn’t even see the leaves for the whiteness of the mealies. After using Charmaine’s formula of 90% alcohol, an ounce of Castile soap and mostly water. The soap helps the stuff day on the leaves without immediately drying off the leaves. I cleaned a couple plants and today I’ve got to do my Hoya compacta. I found mealies on it recently, too. And it was right next to the tornado plant. Also I’ll spray my compacts variegated. It’s on the same shelf. I’m planning on checking on a number of plants to that might have root rot. Just no growth. The plant looks frozen in time since I brought it home. And that was at leafy 6 months ago. Wish me luck.
I discovered two new variegated Thai cons. Look them up! The Cassiopeia and tricolor. Look them up, you won’t be sorry. ❤
If to waste, then I am spent.
you're Jacklyn IS a beast lol **EDIT.. What color do you want to dye your hair next?? Think you would be stunning in silver
Yeah the eternal prob with Monstera Albo is that the variegation is so unstable unlike the Thai Con. Your collection is stunning regardless Fern! And your Variegated Maranta is so beautiful. I just got mine FINALLY and I'm in love with her too! I've only had her a week and I'm prepping her for semi-hydro. She's adjusting to my home nicely (we ARE in growing season) and she's pushing out new leaves yaaaaaay! Thanks for the wonderful tour and foliage happiness you create for all of us viewers! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I absolutely love your collection. You have done an amazing job!!!! I noticed you placed your Calathea - Warscewiczii into water. I have placed mine into Leca, as well as my Calathea - Veitchiana. They seem to be very fussy compared to other Calatheas. Cross fingers it works!!!!
Your collection is amazing! If you would like some more black velvet plants to add to yours, I am growing out too many corms lol. I have 3 that are pushing their first leaf and another 3 that are rooting up. Since this is round 2 of my corms, I don’t need any of them lol!
I love your house and your plant styling. I have mine just clustered together near the living room window. I have some in the kitchen in front of the east window. All have grow lights. Here in Oregon I think we’ve got very similar weather. And grey skies. I’m hoping to purge in the first of the year to get some space in here. My goal is to find room for my Christmas tree for next year. I’m in a very small space. 868 sq ft. With two people and I’m the only one that likes plants. But if my roommate ever moves out, then I’ll have a plant room. But right now I enjoy the comfort of having another person to talk to
I have a Hoya linearis, it's not super big but growing. I found 2 peduncles one fell off but the other bloomed. They lasted a few weeks, I found them on my rug today. I never thought I would get blooms, so stay positive. They can surprise you. Love this video as always.
I don't know how you can say that your collection is not bringing you joy, your plants are gorgeous. Have you ever tried your hoya heuch... variegated out of the cabinet? I have the green one with yellow flowers and it's constantly in bloom. For your variegated plants, try adding some diatomaceous earth to the water when you water next. There's célica in it and it helps the varigation. You have plants that I drool over everytime you show them 😂
I have the same problem with my alocasia micholitziana and I ended up cutting a wire hanger and bending it so it stakes into the soil and then loops around it. It’s hard to explain but I’ll jump on discord and tag you in a picture. 😊
Everything looks beautiful! Maybe you could hang a shelf above the nightstand for the plant? Ty for sharing 🌿✨💚✨❇️
Just an amazing collection!
I love that I have so many of the same plants as you. Your Hoya linearis 🥰 my hope is to have blooms someday.
Thank you for sharing with us.
PS I saw the Christmas Tree on IG. So cute you and your boyfriend sharing a cute little twirl 🥰
This video made me purchase a humidity gauge. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, they're so helpful!!!
You give me plant goals hope! I adore your videos so much. I have a list of plants now to research. I know you have potting mix videos. Are you still using the same recipes now?
Love the Syngonium Albo - you might have mentioned it in a previous video however would you be able to say where you got it? I went to a couple plant shops near me (live around the greater Toronto area) and haven't even seen many syngoniums lately, let alone that one ever.
Love your tattoos Fern which one is your favorite they look incredible they shut my internet off yesterday I was so sad I finally got it back on today and the lady was nice and she wiped away all my fees it was like 60 bucks so I am so happy I got the internet back on
I watched the whole video waiting to see the monkey tail update and was disappointed!!
So sorry! She is in the basement hibernating for the winter :)
How much do you let your black velvet dry out before refilling the reservoir
I don’t let it dry out at all. As soon as it’s getting low I top it up!
I haven't even watched yet but I'm so excited! I've had a crazy and a lot of my plants died. I only have a few left and they are not doing great. I need some inspiration to get back into it and I'm already getting some from the background of your intro! Thank you!!
Love your collection I wish I could find a variegated thanksgiving cactus yours is so pretty.
