girl you love so many of your plants, you’re obsessed with so many of them, you say so yourself!!! i think if you’re not feeling great about your collection is because you’re paying attention to the bad instead of the great. you collection is amazing, and i hope you fall back in full love with it soon ❤️
The view at the start of the plant overview of your living room area looking out to the backyard is such goals! All the plant shelves, and hanging plants, high and low. Beautiful!
Lipstick plants are so underrated. I have a red and orange 😊 id love a pink one. Your maranta is looking great. If a plant is looking happy, best to let live.
I've been a fan for years. Your collection is goals. In love ❤. You're doing a fantastic job even through the rough times your plants are staying strong as are you. I always say my plants are a reflection of my mental health lol but they too bounce back 😂
fern i really feel you, i feel like some of my plants have suffered recently since ive just been working and letting things go too dry for too long (and the mealies have taken over my life its fine). but im in love with your king of spades/HU and its nice to be able to appreciate the plants that ARE doing well despite the ones not doing well!! 🥰💚💚
It's helpful to see how it's going with the barrina lights, I have a bunch of them and just assumed all of that bar style light were similar. Now after seeing your results with a bunch of different brands of grow lights, I'm definitely more comfortable with trying the other brands, seems like it's worth the extra cost, so thanks for the update!!
I just gotta emphasize what you said about the highland track system. It is so so wonderful. I love that the lights are angled so that leaves face forward, without having those stupid vertical mother grow lights that get in the way of the plants, and always fall over. If you’re wanting to invest in some good lighting, the soil tech highland is absolutely where it’s at!!!
Love your forest green nail polish as you showcase your gorgeous collection. Absolutely stunning. And who says your plants are struggling. They are all so healthy and gorgeous.
A good general rule of thumb for transplanting orchids is to wait until you see new root nubs growing on the new growth. The new root growth insures future root systems. Bulbophyllums like moisture, so I have mine in sphagnum moss.
Just now back to watch this and I can tell alot of my collection has been influenced by yours over the last few years lol For my birthday this year I finally bought myself a varigated Thanksgiving cactus and a varigated Christmas cactus!! I've wanted them since I saw you inbox yours! I have noticed they've been very hyped this year. I bet you've helped with that lol
I loved that you changed it for your American friends ❤️❤️ I was like crap what is 22 degrees Celsius hahah!! You are the cutest fern! I totally wish I lived close to you we would be the best of friends seriously
I don't know how I missed this video but girl your plants are looking phenomenal. Im loving the white and green Varigaeted plants right now. Your Syng Albo & heart-leaf Philo....love it! That cudata Sumatra is stunning.
That El Choco leave is stunning! And your alocasias! Thank you for sharing! Edit: Omg I totally agree on Christmas cactuses being underrated. They bloom SO beautifully, and consistently! Each one is a bit different!
You should do some top plants in your ufo planter. That would be so freaking cute!I love all the views of your new home! Love the jungle vibe! And also love that you found a person to love you and want to live in your jungle!Im trying to figure out how you had all these plants in your apartment. It looks like you have doubled your plant collection since you moved!
17:31 1st thank you for switching your hygrometer for your US friends 😅 I’ve no idea how to read Celsius to F 😂 And thanks for the tip about EFN on your gloriosum!! I need to do that with mine as well
I was like wow, Wow, W O W while watching this video! 🤩 Variegated Maranta - gorgeous! 😍 Those variegated Alocasias. 😍 And that Hoya in the doll head pot has grown A LOT!
I was watching Sydney the plant guy and was watering and repotting and putting plants on moss poles and your video was the next one in the line up. Just finished my plant chores as the video was ending. Always nice to see everyone’s collections
I have a Hoya linearis, it's not super big but growing. I found 2 peduncles one fell off but the other bloomed. They lasted a few weeks, I found them on my rug today. I never thought I would get blooms, so stay positive. They can surprise you. Love this video as always.
for my pariso verde, as long as they have heat i find they actually put out much better variegation in low light. my plants in low light are stunning and the one in high light in the same cabinet is reverted!

Yeah the eternal prob with Monstera Albo is that the variegation is so unstable unlike the Thai Con. Your collection is stunning regardless Fern! And your Variegated Maranta is so beautiful. I just got mine FINALLY and I'm in love with her too! I've only had her a week and I'm prepping her for semi-hydro. She's adjusting to my home nicely (we ARE in growing season) and she's pushing out new leaves yaaaaaay! Thanks for the wonderful tour and foliage happiness you create for all of us viewers! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I totally agree with the barinna lights / they help a plant to not die but never sunstress my hoya or even help them grow - I do think people think they are great because they are affordable convenient to install and they haven’t used a soltech or mother - even a good mars hydro. If you have used them and go to barrina you will see the difference for sure! Thanks always for your honesty ❤❤❤❤
I haven’t even reached half way, but omg! Your plants are incredible 🤩 everything is looking great. Definitely want to add more than a few to my collection 🤭
I love your house and your plant styling. I have mine just clustered together near the living room window. I have some in the kitchen in front of the east window. All have grow lights. Here in Oregon I think we’ve got very similar weather. And grey skies. I’m hoping to purge in the first of the year to get some space in here. My goal is to find room for my Christmas tree for next year. I’m in a very small space. 868 sq ft. With two people and I’m the only one that likes plants. But if my roommate ever moves out, then I’ll have a plant room. But right now I enjoy the comfort of having another person to talk to
Oh I’m fighting mealies. I just found my tornado plant infested with mealies. There were areas that I couldn’t even see the leaves for the whiteness of the mealies. After using Charmaine’s formula of 90% alcohol, an ounce of Castile soap and mostly water. The soap helps the stuff day on the leaves without immediately drying off the leaves. I cleaned a couple plants and today I’ve got to do my Hoya compacta. I found mealies on it recently, too. And it was right next to the tornado plant. Also I’ll spray my compacts variegated. It’s on the same shelf. I’m planning on checking on a number of plants to that might have root rot. Just no growth. The plant looks frozen in time since I brought it home. And that was at leafy 6 months ago. Wish me luck.
For your cutie orchid the general terms are to repot when it is actively growing (roots/leaves, both is best!) and without flowers to minimize stress. I have repotted some of mine without following any of the rules and they turn out fine too, but just a good rule of thumb if you want to baby it lol!
I haven't even watched yet but I'm so excited! I've had a crazy and a lot of my plants died. I only have a few left and they are not doing great. I need some inspiration to get back into it and I'm already getting some from the background of your intro! Thank you!!
Girl, just gonna keep saying it since it keeps coming true. Superthrive removes variegation. Just gonna leave this here again. Love you! Save the Superthrive for your green girls!! I love your collection! So great to see all the new growth and inspiration! I see your influence in my collection with every tour. 🥰🌱💚
@@wildfernOthers shared with me after I reverted 2 Florida Beauties. 😢 I stopped using on my variegated plants and none have reverted since. I’m a believer now. 🤷♀️ I think it is so good it “fixes” the variegation. 😂
I like your little orchard, if y😢can wait to repot in spring. I have 9 orchids and I soak pot weekly for 15 minutes in seaweed and Miracle Grow orchid mix. Also be sure roots are good and not brown and mushy. Good luck
Some plants require different temperatures and humidity levels. You may want to research some of your troubled plants and see what temperatures they like. For example some anthurium like cooler Temps with higher humidity. Other plants like monstera do well in basic room temperature with minimal humidity as you know, some may like bigger pots some may like to be quite root bound. Basically I think some of your problem plants could be fixed by simply tweaking the heat and humidity levels. Heat video Fern! You've taught me alot about plants thus far 🪴 🌱 🌵 🏵
Merci pour cette visite 😊 Quel plaisir de voir ainsi autant de belles plantes, si bien écoutées, choyées, tuteurées si telle est leur vocation (exceptées celles de votre chambres, sur le mur...). I don't know how you can say that your collection is not bringing you joy, your plants are gorgeous. Have you ever tried your hoya heuch... variegated out of the cabinet? I have the green one with yellow flowers and it's constantly in bloom. For your variegated plants, try adding some diatomaceous earth to the water when you water next. There's célica in it and it helps the varigation. You have plants that I drool over everytime you show them 😂
Honestly I feel like you should repot ur Bulbophyllum before the new growth matures and produces roots. Just don’t disturb the old roots too much when u do repot it and it should keep growing really well! Also not that they have reasonably fair roots so a finer mix and some sphagnom moss should do the trick ☺️

My black pagoda is flowering right now too. I was stunned, because she hangs in a north window 🤯 I always assume plants need tons of light to bloom (other than the holiday cacti)

Oh my gosh I had no idea a variegated holiday cactus existed. New top of my wish list!
You give me plant goals hope! I adore your videos so much. I have a list of plants now to research. I know you have potting mix videos. Are you still using the same recipes now?
