This entire battle was designed keeping in mind that Shalltearr had to be killed twice because her creator Ainz's friend Peroronchino, had given her an Instant Resurrection Item, which luckily doesn't also restore mana. That is why we see her intact at the end of the chapter. • From the beginning Ainz had many disadvantages. To begin with, his game character was not designed for PVP matches but mainly for his own entertainment and ROL. In DOTA terms he would be a "Support" who can also play as a "Semi-Carry". I clarify that in the Ygdrassil LORE that is based on Dungeons & Dragons there are good and bad gods. Shalltear gains her abilities as a priestess of a vampire god named Caniabel. • Then there is the problem that Ainz is a summoner and his best combos are with creatures he can use as a shield. But since Shalltear has that life-sucking spear, he can't risk using them because it would be like feeding her. Also, Yggdrasil's gameplay mechanics were designed in such a way that a player could never fully protect themselves from all of its weaknesses. Ainz is weak against fire and holy element, but can only protect against one. • As if that wasn't enough, Shalltear's creator gave her some "Skills" that precisely help her with her main weaknesses, such as the Negative Impact Shield or the Purifying Spear. These are not powers that she should naturaly have and they help her to overcome opponents who have some advantage over her. Fortunately, there is a limit to the number of these Skills that can be used per day. Much of Ainz's plan for this battle was designed to get Shalltear to spend them all before the end. • Finally, Ainz felt guilty about the current situation, so he decided to punish himself by changing his divine equipment to a lower quality one, which further increased his disadvantage. So, yes, this battle was very difficult and it is a great triumph that it has reached this point. • Of course, it's not that Ainz is weak either, it's just that his powers don't work well against Shalltiaer's. This is a very difficult thing to achieve, but Ainz is one of the 13% of players who have perfectly mastered the art of synchronizing spells. So, the magic used against Shalltear is called "Cry of the Banshee" which kills everything that touches the sound within a large area of land. But the effect is enhanced by the ability "The Goal of All Life is Death" and that is why, according to the novel, literally everything died: The creatures, the Einherjar clone, Shalltear, the earth, the plants and even the air... It was the trump card of the Eclipse class. That skill was called [The Goal Of All Life Is Death]. I hope I have been helpful. Thanks for reacting!
The spell "Cry of the Banshee " is instant death magic. While The "Goal of all life is Death"(which is his special class skill) negates the immunity to instant death. With "Widen Magic" ,everything died in 100 meter radius. The ground died and turned to sand and even the air "died" ,so every living being entering that zone after it was cast, would also die.
Most high level characters have immunity to instant death so the skill: The goal of All Life Is Death, doesn't increase the chance but instead negates the immunity. But it takes 12 seconds to activate in order to balance it in the game world.
Not just chance. Goal of All Life is Death makes even shit that DOESN'T HAVE THE CONCEPT OF "LIFE" DIE, so even the air itself died, because the Goal of All Life is Death forced the application of Death against it. Even if someone has Death Immunity trait, it will kill them because it forces Instant Death on them of w/e Instant Death spell you use w/ it
deym. i really like these reactors. they know the anime including video game knowledge. pretty fun to watch compared to other reactors that dont really have rpg experience
Explanation and Context; The skill "The Goal of All Life is Death" is buff that can be applied to any Instant Death spell/skill, in this case it was the spell "Cry of the Banshee" that TGOALID was applied to. CotB was also modified by the metamagic "Widen Magic," increasing it's effective radius to 100m. TGOALID will strengthen the effect of the instant death spell/skill to the point of bypassing any of the target's instant death resistances and immunities. The drawback is that the spell/skill will only take effect after 12 secs along with having a 100 hour cooldown and finally needing a very specific build to even unlock. Now for the Sand/Desert thing as well as some other stuff. An explanation first on the changes of the effects of skills and spells in the New World. 1. Friendly fire is now allowed. In Yggdrasil, that wasn't a thing. Shalltear normally cannot just summon her minions to heal herself via killing them. It's the reason why Ainz was surprised and called it dirty. 2. Some spells have changed in their effect compared to Yggdrasil. For example, if TGOALID buffs an AOE instant death spell, not only does it kills entities/enemies within the radius, it now kills everything. The land, the air etc. The desertification is the result of the land itself dying and I remember in the LN that even the air in the area died. Apparently if any human took a breath in that area they would have died immediately. 3. Super Tier Magic is closer to a skill than a spell, because it doesn't consume mp but in exchange it has a very long cast time and the caster cannot be interrupted otherwise the spell won't work and the whole party will be subjected to a cooldown before somebody in the party can cast an STM again. In Yggdrasil, when somebody in your party started casting a STM, the party needs to protect that caster because the enemy party will target and prioritize interrupting that caster. It's the reason why when Ainz was casting his STM, he remarked that it's a perfect time to ambush him if, just as he assumed last episode, they're were enemy forces nearby. And though he still cannot discount that there might be some enemies nearby, the fact that he wasn't interrupted proved to him that there at least wasn't any player nearby who should know that attacking him at that moment was the best timing.

It was the trump card of the Eclipse class. That skill was called [The Goal Of All Life Is Death]. A woman’s wail echoed through the air. This cry carried with it an instant-death effect. Ainz had used various skills to augment this spell, so its potency was greater than normal and harder to resist. Still, it was useless against Shalltear and the Einherjar construct. Tick. The clock face behind Ainz ticked, and its hands slowly moved as the spell took effect. Ainz glanced at Shalltear in the distance as his health dwindled under the onslaught of the Einherjar, and at the same time he felt quite disappointed. “...So I can’t finish this cleanly, huh? Damn you, Peroroncino, did you build her specifically to counter me? To think you actually gave her a resurrection item! Dammit!” Ainz cursed his guildmate within his heart. Ainz frantically struggled to avoid the attacks of the Einherjar. After 12 seconds had passed, the hour hand had completed a full circuit, and it pointed to the heavens once more. Then, Ainz’s trump card took effect. In that moment: The world died. This was not metaphorical. Everything died. The Einherjar evaporated into white mist as it couched its lance, and dispersed before Ainz’s eyes. Even a homunculus with no concept of life died instantly. Shalltear’s familiars shared the same fate, unable to resist the destruction which overtook them. That was not all. Even the air - which was not even alive to begin with - fell into death. For over 100 meters in all directions, the air was no longer breathable. If any living creature tried to respire within that area, their lungs would be corrupted by the deadly air, and they would die. Neither did the land escape the embrace of death. The terrain in a 100 meter radius was instantly transmuted into sand. Only Shalltear and Ainz could move in this world, where only death remained. Ainz’s trump card, [The Goal Of All Life Is Death] strengthened the effect of instant death magic and skills. Thus augmented, those instant-death effects could bypass any immunities or resistance and kill their targets after a certain amount of time had passed. One could resist it by using a resurrection effect on themselves within 12 seconds, as Shalltear had. The air and the land had also died because of that effect. In YGGDRASIL, the environment would not have succumbed, but in this new world, the effects were quite appropriate to the skill. All things were equal in the face of Death. Ainz himself was taken aback by this strange effect. The land had not died like this in YGGDRASIL. He could not help but shake his head after witnessing the effects of the game’s powers in the real world. However, Ainz swallowed back his surprise. The pride in his heart would not permit him to show any sign of shock. Instead, he acted as though this had been part of his plan. Carrying himself with the arrogance that befitted a ruler, he gently asked the sole survivor: “What do you think, after experiencing the power that can slay even the unliving?”] Well that's it. I hope I have been helpful. Thanks for reacting!
One thing I'll point out while Ainz is one of the rare few to master perfect spell synchronization that doesn't matter with The Goal of All Life Is Death. All instant death spells have a base instant activation, and The Goal of All Life Is Death automatically delays the effects of any instant death spell cast during it's duration so that their effect occurs when The Goal of All Life Is Death's duration ends. Even for players that haven't mastered perfect spell synchronization would be able to use The Goal of All Life Is Death.
Common mistake is that using a resurrection item to counter his trump card revives the user, all it does is negate it. There is no synchronizing the spell to his skill, the timer counts down after death spell is used. Youre mistaking it for attacks during time stop
@@-Offstar "One could resist it by using a resurrection effect on themselves within 12 seconds, as Shalltear had." It says it right in the guys quote. In the novel he says, "What do you think, after experiencing the power that can slay even the unliving?" She healed from killing her household summons since they provide more healing than attacking a level 100 since they have lower defense
they dont explain it well in the anime but the guardians are basically Raid bosses for guild bases and shalltear is the strongest among them which is why she guards the first 3 floors which is why Cocytus rated him with a 3 out of 7 chance. Ainz is also ranked in the middle of top tier players PVP wise while his character build is top tier of middle tier since he built himself towards undead roleplay, he also memorized every spell in the game to better read/predict his opponents and is in the 5% of all spell users who have top tier spell timing (which is something that will be shown in the future but not told)
@@BrothersYeo Here's some more :3 If you thought the amounts of buffs he casted pre-battle was alot... As far as i can remember from the novel, the dude has somewhere around 740 spells he can remember xD Also, if you remember in episode 1 there is a line where Ainz said no1 ever reached the inner sanctum(he said this when we got to see Sebas and the Pleiades maids for the first time) In their "hayday" as a guild, multiple guilds did actually band together to attack them and as far as we know the ONLY time Shalltear was ever killed was during an attack consisting of over 1.500 players(and npcs/mercenaries) That should give you an idea of just how broken Shalltear is :'D
@@BrothersYeo they are not on the strength of raid bosses, players and custom npcs have the same creation method so you could even have a carbon copy of your build on an npc
@@-Apoptos- read again sir, i said they are practically like raid bosses, they were made to wipe out massive amounts and weaken enemy invading players . this is straight from the Novel "Floor Guardian's roles were similar to stage bosses of a dungeon"
As far as i know the armor that you guys were talking about is given by her creator when shalltear was created and also her weapon which perfectly suits her. It's like portraying a fallen Valkyrie when i first saw her with that armor and weapon
Noooooo give us next episode already 😭 About Ainz's voice 100% of the time he speaks with a human voice it's just his inner self thinking. Though sometimes he also thinks and he does his monologues in the undead voice. The curious thing is that his VA is the same as Shadow's, so in fact AINZ IS ATOMIC!
I honestly don't have friends to watch Overlord with so I feel ta home watching anime with you brothers. Just earned anew sub! Love the content, I have watched it about 8 or 9 times, so this is refreshing, watching one of my favorite anime with people that have never seen it. My heart is about to explode of excitement. Thank you guys
This episode is what made me a lifelong fan of the series, and not because of the fight. It was hearing Ainz say in the beginning that the reason he was doing this, even though it's risky and stupid, is because he couldn't stand having to watch the NPCs kill eachother. That to him, they're the children of his dear friends, and all he has left to remember them by. That he wants them to be happy. That idea just cut through all the flash and hype and "rule of cool" to deliver that genuine human moment of weakness; of regret; of fear of loss; of loneliness. It showed that this series is, at its core, a much deeper emotional exploration of the characters than it first appears.
I'll explain how absolutely broken the final skill Ainz used is. Firstly the reason he used Widen Magic and Cry of The Banshee is because Cry of The Banshee is an instant death spell, he uses it so that any items or such that would negate instant death may be used, it also gives him more time to cast The Goal of All Life is Death. Widen Magic is self explanatory. The Goal of All Life is Death is a skill that's gained only by attaining the "Overlord" class (the furthest class into undead) It is a skill which amplifies the strength of instant death, that applies after 12 seconds (the clock ticking), and once those 12 seconds are up, any instant death spells (Cry of The Banshee) kill literally everything. It *bypasses all resistance and immunity* to instant death or death itself. The reason everything turned to sand is because it literally kills EVERYTHING. I will provide a passage from the light novel "Then, Ainz's trump card took effect. In that moment ----- the world died. This was not metaphorical. Everything died. The Einherjar evaporated into white mist as it couched it's lance, and dispersed before Ainz's eyes. Even a homunculus with no concept of life died instantly. Shalltear's familiars shared the same fate, unable to resist the destruction which overtook them. That was not all. Even the air ----- which was not alive to begin with ----- fell into death. For over 100 meters in all directions, the air was no longer breathable. If any living creature tried to respire within that area, their lungs would be corrupted by the deadly air, and they would die. Neither did the land escape the embrace of death. The terrain in a 100 meter radius was instantly transmuted into sand. Only Shalltear and Ainz could move in this world, where only death remained." The only way to bypass instant death of this skill, is to use a resurrection item within 12 seconds (which Shalltear did using an item Peroroncino gave her) so she technically died and got resurrected after his skill.
Explaination for Super Tier spells. These spells are closer to skills or special abilities. They don't consume MP, but in return have a very long cast time and can only be used a certain amount of times every day. If I remember correctly, Ainz can use them 4 times a day. As for how much MP Ainz has and his build: Under usual circumstances all stats in the game have a ceiling of 100. However, Ainz uses a very specific build that allows him to ignore said limit, and significantly so. Also, most casters are limited to learning and using their class specific spells, but Ainz isn't, which is another benefit of his build. This doesn't make him stronger in a fight than other level 100 casters. Quite the opposite. It makes him a sort of utility Caster, a Jack of all trades, master of a few (necromancy and chronomancy, to be specific). Basically, Ainz is one of those skill nerds who likes to use neat game mechanics interactions and weird builds to beat his enemies.
The Goal of all Life is Death, is a skill instantly upgrading any chance of instant death to a guarantee. Widen magic, as you already said AoE on the spell. Cry of the Banshee is the spell with a small chance to instantly kills. Ainz basically kills everything in its radius, even plants and earth, turning it into sand. I love how deep Overlord is, without throwing it at your face
The goal of all life is death is a buff skill making the next death spell able to kill things that aren't normally possible, or are immune to instant death spells. eg, a rock, the air, the soil normally can't be killed because they're not a living thing and therefore can't be killed. this skill overrides that and makes it now possible. The only drawback is that the effect has a delay. hence the clock.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit late this time - my apologies. I know a few comments have already elucidated a few things about this battle, but I'll add what I haven't seen in the comments. • Nazarick has an extensive magical defense and intelligence network. The novel doesn't quite clearly explain it, but what I gathered is that several defensive, counterintelligence, and intelligence spells are constantly active and propped up by the various high-leveled creatures of Nazarick through utilizing their collective vast pools of mana. Ainz instructed the Floor Guardians to lower this defensive grid when spying on the battle to prevent alerting the potential hidden enemies. • Ainz "broke" the game in two areas. One was the limit in how many spells he could learn. And the other was the maximum mana capacity. His character sheet actually shows his mp bar outside of the stats. • The battle actually lasted a lot longer than it appears in the anime. A lot more and varied spells/skills were thrown around. And the magical shootout lasted quite a while. Apparently, it was to the point that if Shalltear hadn't been using a skill that burned mana to decrease the effect of magic on her, she would have already died. The anime makes level 100 spellcaster seem weaker than they are in the novel, because of this. • Reality Slash is a 10th tier spell and is one of the highest damaging spell in the game. However, it is extremely mana inefficient. There is a superior version of this spell called World Break. • The modifiers are called metamagic. Maximize magic maximizes the damage potential of the modified spell.
eps 12-13 one of the best fights i seen all the planning and for tought he put into it. ^^ as someone said the skill The Goal of all life is Death. it turned any instanst Death magic into a unblockable spell after 13 seconds. and cry of the banshee kills anything in it range so the combo of the 2 it 'kill' everything the air,the ground and all shalltears household + her. it a broken skill that only a true necro build can unlock the ultra-rare class called : Eclipse
the goal of all life is death is a instant death skill cry of the banshee is a skill that nullifies instant death immunity and makes instant death skills aoe this is why shealtear was not scared of goal of all life is death till cry of the banshee came into play
Wrong. Goal of All Life is Death is the skill that nullifies Instant Death Immunity (since it's the Ultimate of the maxed out Overlord + other class combos you have to specifically meet, i.e Overlord maxed, Instant Death maxed + I think 1 other condition. Other classes have Instant Death abilities as well, but different exclusives similar-ish but different compared to Goal of All Life is Death), Cry of Banshee is just an AoE Instant Death ability, w/ Widen Magic being a parameter for increasing AoE radius
3:32, Well, as shown in the previous episode, Albedo thought that Ainz was at a disadvantage because of their skillset and abilities. Cocytus probably did the calculation based on the same things, and reached to the 3:7 conclusion.
tbh that was pretty accurate. There's like 2 or more(but mainly just 1 big thing) scenarios where he would just be forced to retreat if shalltear just made the right decisions.

Instead, Shalltear is a pure "Carry" designed for combat against many players. The only one in charge of defending not one but 3 floors and the strongest of all the Guardians. Also, as a vampire, Shalltear is quite resistant to Ainz's necromancy, but she can also do holy magic that is quite effective against Liches.
But still he is a pure mage who managed to win a lot of PVP at the time, although at first, he always had to lose a few rounds until he learned the best method to win. Also, in Yggdrassil the limit of spells that could be learned was 300, but Ainz got a special class that allowed him to learn more than 700 spells. We saw a bit of this early on, in the buff number he put on before he
started fighting.
• Shalltear's Einherjar is a construct-type avatar almost visually identical to Shalltear. This Avatar cannot use magic and some of the abilities of the original, but his equipment and stats are the same.
• Ainz's greatest achievement was executing
his own trump card well. "The Goal of All Life
is Death" is a Skill that he obtained by taking
out all the trophies of his class, Liche Overlord. Any Undead like him have abilities that cause "Instant Death' on an enemy, but naturally there are many ways to defend against this magic, both with items and resistances. Someone like Shalltear naturally has immunity to these kinds of abilities, whether it be full or partial. But "The Goal of All Life is Death" allows you to overcome all those barriers, as long as the instant death effect occurs in exactly 12 seconds. This is a very difficult thing to achieve, but Ainz is one of the 13% of players who have perfectly mastered the art of synchronizing spells. So,
the magic used against Shalltear is called "Cry of the Banshee" which kills everything that touches the sound within a large area of land. But the effect is enhanced by the ability "The Goal of All Life is Death" and that is why, according to the novel, literally everything died: The creatures, the Einherjar clone, Shalltear, the earth, the plants and even the air... Everything died. And so, in the end the
battlefield turned into a desert.
• Here I leave you the fragment of the novel, where the effects of this terrible magic are better described:
[Ainz had 60 levels of job classes, and one of them was quite special. It was a class that was very rare even in YGGDRASIL, held only by a small number of players.
Even if someone has Death Immunity trait, it will kill them because it forces Instant Death on them of w/e Instant Death spell you use w/ it
GOALID makes instant death effect work on targets that are protected from or immune to it.
@@Shorkii. ahh ye.i forgot about that part.corrected ty^^
Cry of the Banshee is a spell, not a skill.
deym. i really like these reactors. they know the anime including video game knowledge. pretty fun to watch compared to other reactors that dont really have rpg experience
Explanation and Context;
The skill "The Goal of All Life is Death" is buff that can be applied to any Instant Death spell/skill, in this case it was the spell "Cry of the Banshee" that TGOALID was applied to.
This entire battle was designed keeping in mind that Shalltearr had to be killed twice because her creator, Ainz's friend Peroronchino, had given her an Instant Resurrection Item, which luckily doesn't also restore mana. That is why we see her intact at the end of the chapter.
From the beginning Ainz had many disadvantages. To begin with, his game character was not designed for PVP matches but mainly for his own entertainment and ROL. In DOTA terms he would be a “Support” who can also play as a “Semi-Carry”. Instead, Shalltear is a pure “Carry” designed for combat against many players. The only one in charge of defending not one but 3 floors and the strongest of all the Guardians. Also, as a vampire, Shalltear is quite resistant to Ainz's necromancy, but she can also do holy magic that is quite effective against Liches. I clarify that in the Ygdrassil LORE that is based on Dungeons & Dragons there are good and bad gods. Shalltear gains her abilities as a priestess of a vampire god named Caniabel.
Then there is the problem that Ainz is a summoner and his best combos are with creatures he can use as a shield.
As if that wasn't enough, Shalltear's creator gave her some "Skills" that precisely help her with her main weaknesses, such as the Negative Impact Shield or the Purifying Spear. These are not powers that she should naturaly have and they help her to overcome opponents who have some advantage over her. Fortunately, there is a limit to the number of these Skills that can be used per day. Much of Ainz's plan for this battle was designed to get Shalltear to spend them all before the end.
Finally, Ainz felt guilty about the current situation, so he decided to punish himself by changing his divine equipment to a lower quality one, which further increased his disadvantage.
So, yes, this battle was very difficult and it is a great triumph that it has reached this point.
Of course, it's not that Ainz is weak either, it's just that his powers don't work well against Shalltiaer's. We saw a bit of this early on, in the buff number he put on before he started fighting.
Shalltear's Einherjar is a construct-type avatar almost visually identical to Shalltear. This Avatar cannot use magic and some of the abilities of the original, but his equipment and stats are the same.
Ainz's greatest achievement was executing his own trump card well. “The Goal of All Life is Death” is a Skill that he obtained by taking out all the trophies of his class, Liche Overlord. Any Undead like him have abilities that cause "Instant Death" on an enemy, but naturally there are many ways to defend against this magic, both with items and resistances. Someone like Shalltear naturally has immunity to these kinds of abilities, whether it be full or partial. But “The Goal of All Life is Death” allows you to overcome all those barriers, as long as the instant death effect occurs in exactly 12 seconds. This is a very difficult thing to achieve, but Ainz is one of the 13% of players who have perfectly mastered the art of synchronizing spells. So, the magic used against Shalltear is called “Cry of the Banshee” which kills everything that touches the sound within a large area of land. But the effect is enhanced by the ability "The Goal of All Life is Death" and that is why, according to the novel, literally everything died: The creatures, the Einherjar clone, Shalltear, the earth, the plants and even the air... Everything died. And so, in the end the battlefield turned into a desert.
Here I leave you the fragment of the novel, where the effects of this terrible magic are better described:
[Ainz had 60 levels of job classes, and one of them was quite special. It was a class that was very rare even in YGGDRASIL, held only by a small number of players.
The class in question was called “Eclipse”.
The class description stated: “Only an Overlord who is truly dedicated to the pursuit of Death may enter this class, which swallows up all life like an eclipse.”
The move Ainz was planning to use was one which was only available after reaching the maximum level (5th) in Eclipse, a skill which could only be used once every 100 hours.
Dammit!”
Ainz cursed his guildmate within his heart.
Carrying himself with the arrogance that befitted a ruler, he gently asked the sole survivor:
“What do you think, after experiencing the power that can slay even the unliving?”]
Well that's it.
Can't believe I read it all
Common mistake is that using a resurrection item to counter his trump card revives the user, all it does is negate it.
Thanks for the context
Could you explain how Shalltear got mind controlled ? Even if it's spoil I don't mind
they dont explain it well in the anime but the guardians are basically Raid bosses for guild bases and shalltear is the strongest among them which is why she guards the first 3 floors which is why Cocytus rated him with a 3 out of 7 chance.
Very cool factoid about Ainz.

@@BrothersYeo Here's some more :3
If you thought the amounts of buffs he casted pre-battle was alot...
As far as i can remember from the novel, the dude has somewhere around 740 spells he can remember xD
Also, if you remember in episode 1 there is a line where Ainz said no1 ever reached the inner sanctum(he said this when we got to see Sebas and the Pleiades maids for the first time)
In their "hayday" as a guild, multiple guilds did actually band together to attack them and as far as we know the ONLY time Shalltear was ever killed was during an attack consisting of over 1.500 players(and npcs/mercenaries)
That should give you an idea of just how broken Shalltear is :'D
@@BrothersYeo they are not on the strength of raid bosses, players and custom npcs have the same creation method so you could even have a carbon copy of your build on an npc
They are not raid bosses, they have the same strengths as a player would with their build since they have the same creation method
@@-Apoptos- read again sir, i said they are practically like raid bosses, they were made to wipe out massive amounts and weaken enemy invading players . this is straight from the Novel
"Floor Guardian's roles were similar to stage bosses of a dungeon"
Hold up give me one second, I just need to do something real quick, I need to buff my buffs until my buffed buffs have buffs

His human voice is his human voice when he his thinking to himself, his undead voice is how he sounds when he speaks.
As far as i know the armor that you guys were talking about is given by her creator when shalltear was created and also her weapon which perfectly suits her. It's like portraying a fallen Valkyrie when i first saw her with that armor and weapon
Probably my favorite character design second only to Narberal in her full battle dress.

Noooooo give us next episode already 😭
About Ainz's voice 100% of the time he speaks with a human voice it's just his inner self thinking. Though sometimes he also thinks and he does his monologues in the undead voice. The curious thing is that his VA is the same as Shadow's, so in fact AINZ IS ATOMIC!
Well damn
No he's not
I honestly don't have friends to watch Overlord with so I feel ta home watching anime with you brothers.
The Goal of All Life is Death is a skill that's gained only by attaining the "Overlord" class (the furthest class into undead)
It is a skill which amplifies the strength of instant death, that applies after 12 seconds (the clock ticking), and once those 12 seconds are up, any instant death spells (Cry of The Banshee) kill literally everything. It *bypasses all resistance and immunity* to instant death or death itself. The reason everything turned to sand is because it literally kills EVERYTHING. I will provide a passage from the light novel
"Then, Ainz's trump card took effect.
Only Shalltear and Ainz could move in this world, where only death remained."
The only way to bypass instant death of this skill, is to use a resurrection item within 12 seconds (which Shalltear did using an item Peroroncino gave her) so she technically died and got resurrected after his skill.
Explaination for Super Tier spells. These spells are closer to skills or special abilities. They don't consume MP, but in return have a very long cast time and can only be used a certain amount of times every day. If I remember correctly, Ainz can use them 4 times a day.
As for how much MP Ainz has and his build:
Under usual circumstances all stats in the game have a ceiling of 100.
4:47 buffing for a boss fight be like
You have to keep in mind the guardians are raid level NPCs. They're not meant to be soloed. Ainz is powerful but he's not ALL powerful.
They arent raid level. They all have the exact same stats as a level 100 player with their build. Their creation method is the same as a player's
anime enjoyer: wow
anime x gamer enjoyer: ALL HAIL AIN-SAMA!!
All Servant Ainz = Raid Boss Event 💀
can't wait for next episodeeeeeeeeeeeee😖😖😖
She strong that why she is the guardian of level 1 to 3 floor of Nazarik
Whenever you hear the deeper voice that's when Ainz is talking, the "other" voice is when he's thinking.
eps 12-13 one of the best fights i seen all the planning and for tought he put into it.
It did not kill her becuase she had a resurrection item, she resisted tgoalid
all the spells and powerups is just the cooking recipe
Za goal of arr rife is death :D
Desu!

the goal of all life is death is a instant death skill
cry of the banshee is a skill that nullifies instant death immunity and makes instant death skills aoe
this is why shealtear was not scared of goal of all life is death till cry of the banshee came into play
You swapped them. TGOALID is the skill that nullifies instant death immunity, while [Cry of the banshee] is the AOE instant death spell.
@@skebaba918 my bad i always get them mixed upXD

3:32, Well, as shown in the previous episode, Albedo thought that Ainz was at a disadvantage because of their skillset and abilities. Cocytus probably did the calculation based on the same things, and reached to the 3:7 conclusion.
Plus, a magic caster going up against a frontline warrior/fighter of equal level to them? The trope “squishy wizard” does exist for a reason.
tbh that was pretty accurate. There's like 2 or more(but mainly just 1 big thing) scenarios where he would just be forced to retreat if shalltear just made the right decisions.
He's an undead necromancer, and she's a holy paladin with a life-drain weapon. Not only is she specced better for battle, she counters him perfectly.
