I accidentally won a ball python at a carnival once. I thought it had something wrong with its scales. After a trip to the vet, i found out they were ticks!! We pulled over 50 ticks off this baby snake that was approximately 14 inches long. He only lived 3 weeks. RIP Monty!

The females are always the ones that grow a lot, the males stay small because they have the exoskeleton with some extra pieces.

Plus if you’re around ticks… that’s a problem within itself. But… when I acquire some land, I will definitely get some free roaming Chickens!

When I moved up to New England in 2000, you'd only find a tick on you if you were in the woods.
Nowadays you'll find ticks on you after simply walking across the lawn. It's insane how much their population is booming.
How so? Ticks hang off of branches, leaves and tall grass with their legs extended, waiting for something to brush by them. You cant get them from the lawn.

I had one bury itself in my vein under my collarbone 2 months ago. Long story short he was in head first. Doc couldn't get him all out. Got an infection in my neck and left armpit within 6hrs. Get them out asap. And the mouth parts.

the husband of my mom's friend died from encephalitis not so long ago, before that he was in coma for a few weeks amd woke up pretty much disabled. They say it happened because of the late diagnosis.

I encountered a big swollen one crawling over my living room floor 😮 it was horrifying.. I didn't know what the heck it was at first and even the legs were bigger and longer..creepy stuff😅
Many years ago my high school friends and I found a stray pup that had a very very bad tick infestation all under and inside her ears. We were on vacation and spent an entire afternoon removing them on by one. I don't even know how I managed because those things repulse me, but in the end it was worth it seeing how cheerful and happy the pupper was after we were done. Her demeanor changed so much it was hard to believe it was the same dog.
Omg....I would've fainted and screamed like a girl. I'm sorry, I'd call a vet to come pick it up because I wouldn't be able to touch that puppy and I love dogs!

Traumatized bc when I was younger, I had this very big tick on my shoulder and didn't know it was there till my mother saw it. I don't let anything stick to my body anymore because of that. BTW this tick was the size of my hand.
