This reviews are clearly on another level. There's a lot of people trying to do reviews but with no doubt this is a highly professional journalism it's magazine content. Such a shame that's a bit underrated. Congratulations Vicky
I don't get why 'sportiness' seems to be every reviewer's go-to with cars...??? 🤔 I would far rather have a comfortable, cossetting ride on our pot-holed UK roads.
She meant not the most practical; the combination of 2 screens and buttons on the steering wheels. That ''20 secs later'' she was talking about the UI/User Interface of the system, is indeed one of the easiest in the industry . Two diff things.
I like the idea of using a car as a full electric during the work week and having a gas engine for weekend road trips. However, I am always suspect of the electronics in Mercedes cars.
Rapid charging is what it mainly differs from other alternative. 60 miles pure electric range is also very practical. Not sure how much heavier is it compare with a petrol version though.
@@gadgetimpulse3833 The previous gen have like 14kwh, it managed about 20 miles...... also its nothing like the leaf, much heavier due to it also being a ICE. Almost all PHEV manages about 2 miles/kwh.
@@NickLiang I have this car (the wagon version) and it does do 60....oh look at that, there goes your "absolutely no way" right out the door. Don't talk if you don't know...
Nice car but would get fed up with the engine sound being augmented through the speakers. Can anyone say whether this augmented sound can be turned off?
Cant find the total range for this car anywhere, its no good if the motorway petrol range is less than 300 miles. Its the same with EVs, they only give a mixed cycle range when all anyone really want to know is worst case situation, i.e 70mph on a motorway range.
I don't think the editing is up to par on this one - or it could be just me. What is "quite a lot of money" @ 2:03 for example; plus I couldn't find the start. Vicki great as always. If I wanted and could get one, (it's still more appealing than an E- Class) - then I guess I could live with the shallow 300 odd boot capacity, but possibly the base petrol engines make more sense. If they want us to buy PHEV cars they should have found better ways by now of installing batteries in a car designed as a regular ICE model as well. Also I don't like tablets in place of an instrument binnacle or cowling. The screen in the centre is alright and Tesla - esque for sure; but like the A -Class the "cockpit" loses that sense of occasion, or long term pride of ownership. Bah Humbug.
Buen día. Sé poco inglés pero tratando de leer las descripciones entendí un poco, por lo que sería beneficioso poder tener las traducciones, bien sea en pantalla o en sonido. Muy completa la reseña. Muchas gracias.
Does anyone know if rear wheal traction is a problem for this car? As the car is 2000 kg and 4MATIC version + with plug in not available, how's the handling on bad roads?
All phev's should be tested for emissions with full battery and empty battery and use the average for the homologation. Or you pay the taxes at the end of the year after a technician controls how many miles you did with the ice engine. Everything else is just a lie and it's not fair
See Mercedes still mounting the batteries in the boot so far behind toyota genius idea of mounting them under the rear seat in a way it doesn't affect headroom or boot space in the Camry
Mine broke down after less than 3000 and Mercedes can’t get the part to fix it. It’s been off the road for over 2 months with no sign of the parts arriving. I won’t be buying a Mercedes again.
Vicky is a great reviewer, I drove this car yesterday and she describes the way it drives beautifully. Great job!
Glad you liked it!

As soon as I read you’re from UK I went back and read the whole comment again in my head in your accent, is that bad?

The vibration on the throttle pedal is haptic feedback to let the driver know the engine switched on.
And if the car thinks you are using too much throttle.

There is absolutely no way you will be 60 miles. Likely 40 to 50 at best.
@@NickLiang it has a 25.4 kWh battery which is nearly as much as the Nissan Leaf. Merc reports 68 all electric miles, 60 is real world number

Great review Vicky - nice and concise, covering all the important points and practicalities, and well presented - thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!

there is no fake sound it's all real , atleast here in india
If i had this car i would only use it on fully Electric mode as much as i can
What are the exterior and interior colors of this model?

Does the estate still get the brick wall in the boot or have they managed to make a flat floor this time ?
It's flat, but it's higher than the non-Phev estate

Why is acres of plastics "great" in terms of materials?
Great video. Is this also available as an estate?
Yup
Nice video. What is the 0-100km/h in electric mode?
I wonder if those buttons on the steering wheel will be repositioned to suit right hand drive C-Classes

what I am concerned about this car is the reliability for there are 2 engines and a large battery in it

I am in Australia and they want $97000 £52000. What are the UK rebates to make it £41000?
Better to wait until it's been officially launched in the UK maybe ?
Mercedes needs to bring this to the U.S. sooner rather than later. I’m waiting to buy..
Same here. You can’t even build one on the mb website.

I enjoyed watching the Video Review. The New C-Class looks very nice
So maybe GM should bring back the Volt. This is basically a Volt with a Volt range.
That screen and the interface wasn’t well planned. The interface looks like when download an app for iPhone on your iPad

Designing a car in 2021 that needs a smaller boot to allow for batteries!🤡🤡
Rear wheel drive…you must be kidding.🙄
