I love the way you have no qualms about removing any of the buttons, or latches, etc. Just like you are working on a Toyota Corolla! Fantastic, appreciate the nice details.
For people that don't know, there is a manual bonnet/hood release cable under the dash. On a UK car it's under the passenger side, quite a way back, to the left
Thanks for the Question. Yes - that's pretty much my last sticky button fix, but may be a while now that the weather is warm here and I'll be driving more than fixing I hope. There are quite a few steps in removing the glove box button. Stay tuned!
They must not have been very sticky at all. I tried this on. I would say a medium level stickiness and it did nothing. I also tried 91% alcohol and that made it worse. Any suggestions?
Alcohol is not recommended on most parts - will remove the painted black finish. Honestly, I have now heard from several others that tried this method with success - just takes a little more time and patience. End of the day - it's a tip that I hoped would help some owners. Good luck on yours - cheers.
This does help and you’re right you really need to be very patient and go very slow. Alcohol takes all the paint off and the white arrow! A little bit of goo gone household also works I feel it’s necessary to wipe them down with a damp towel afterwards as well.
Thanks for the question. You honestly can't properly clean them without removing altogether, not to mention that the solutions have a bit of liquid and could short something out if you squeeze too much in between the buttons and the bezels. It was easy enough to just remove and do it right.

I wiped mine while still in the car. Still deciding if I want to spray them. If I did. I’d remove the plastic. Nice video.
Thanks for that 👍.... Excellent presentation 🙏........
Thank you!
Will you be doing a video on removal of the glove box button?

Why didn't you just masking tape up & wipe the plastic switches down without removing them & panel ?
