In fact, Chigee may have overslept the arrival of the 6" units last year. The new 6" Chigee will actually be on sale around June, July. Agreed that the Carpuride 7" is already too big for a motorcycle. I had one and gave it away, put on a Chigee AIO-5Play.
Really enjoyed this video. It's the first review of this model I've seen and had just the right info. I have a BMW w prep, and use a W702 on my '98 Thunderbird Sport. This looks pretty interesting because I like the larger screen relative to the other CarPlay devices. There seem to be more and more companies jumping in; the demand was always there (hint BMW).
God made you a bit more special than many of us. Did you have the stammer before becoming a BMW victim. The brand experience can cause PTSD in some people. Just relax, your videos are honest and authentic. I’ve never heard of this device but I am a mug with a Honda. Please keep up the good work. Cheers
Excellent review Sir. I am just awaiting delivery of mine. I was under the impression you couldn't change the startup screen on this model so seeing you can is great. Currently using the connected ride cradle with phone but getting a bit tired of having to reconnect the phone nearly every time so went for the 702BS. Will let you know how it goes and may be in touch for the logo image help you offer, cheers.

Thank you so much! So I currently use the DJI Mic 2 in my jacket connected to a Purple Panda lavalier mic in my helmet which has a dead cat on it. I have the DJI Mic set with noise reduction enabled and the gain set to -12 to avoid clipping. That’s all really although I do sometimes use a bit of voice isolation in DaVinci Resolve just to dial back some of the ambient noise :)
@ you’re very welcome! Yeah I do so the audio goes wirelessly to the camera but the Mic can record internally as well so you don’t need to have a DJI camera but obviously you’d need to sync up the audio manually :)

I believe problems with Hey Google is a common issue for Android users on a lot of units not just Carpuride. I think it’s something to do with Android Auto. I’m told that pairing your headset to the Carpuride instead of to your phone can help but unfortunately I can’t confirm this :(
@TheStammeringBiker yep, I think that's the only way for it to work. Connecting the sena straight to the phone will not work with hey google. It needs to "see" a working android auto device ( the carpuride).
Nice video thanks for all the tips & tricks. I noticed something on your unit that doesn't happen on mine. The internal clock of the unit doesn't have a battery. This means it gets to 00:00 everytime I shut down the bike. I used an Android phone and I never manage to get the clock to update with the proper hour, but seems like that is not a problem with Iphone that you are using. I will try with Iphone to see if that is a fluke.
I have one and love it , initially I could not select the app moving the wheel to the right , I contacted the puride and they sent me a file update , since then it works fine , I had no idea on the long press and the indicator button though so Thankyou , I am trying to work out the best way to stream Spotify on my helmet (sena) via the unit or through the phone .. and what output in need to be in on the device. I also had no idea on the long press to get mph/kmh
I have had many problems, the control unit of my GS 1300 drove me crazy, and the thing that made me most angry was that the Carpuride support first told me that there was an incompatibility with the iPhone 16, and then that the problem was my new bike, and to take it to the mechanic... obviously the bike never had any problems until the Carpuride arrived... I do not recommend buying it
That’s really strange, these units don’t send data into the bike but I’ll keep an eye out for any issues. It shouldn’t be possible for a unit plugged into the nav cradle to cause any significant issues but I’d be interested to know what issues you’ve had as the BS model hasn’t been around that long? :)
the first problem is that the right light of the front lights came on and would not turn off, after turning off the bike only one of the two headlights continued to be on,,, it connected and disconnected every 5 seconds ... where neutral comes out on the bmw tft,, I got an R.... when you are in neutral with the gears the display shows an N while mine was an R.... the control unit went crazy
@ I have had a similar issue on my bike (without the Carpuride fitted) and it needed a whole new TFT display but this was before I even fitted this new model
When the AIO 6 for bmw comes out , which would be the one to go for , believe the aio 6 bmw will come with front and rear camera, price not yet published
I don’t know 100% but reading some information on the similar CHiGEE unit it seems that there are some known issues with older models reading the bike data out. I’d probably suggest emailing Carpuride support for a proper answer as I don’t want to give you the wrong info :)

It does! Obviously it’s better if the gloves are touch sensitive but I’ve just tried with both my Richa Goretex gloves and my much older Keis heated gloves and it works fine although you have to be a little firmer with the pressure

a) probably not b) the problem you'll have with the Carpuride 7" installation collision is if you have Wunderlich sun shade protection installed on your bike's TFT screen, like I do.
Thanks mate! And hmmm I’m torn to be honest, the CHIGEE is more “polished” in terms of the overall experience but the 7inch screen does make it lean for me to the Carpuride. Be interesting to put it up against the new CHIGEE when it’s released!
If i didn't knownthe bigger chigee was on the horizon id go for this version. Never pwned a carpuride but just dont seem to be quite at the pro level of the chigee, then again they are cheaper thou

That’s a good point, I’ll try it with my android phone and see if it changes the time on startup :)
I’ve just checked with my Android phone and as soon as the unit connects to the phone it updates the time instantly so I’m not sure why yours isn’t

I think if it was based on features potentially the CHIGEE but if cost was a factor then probably this one
Innovv N1Pro with cameras is a very high quality system. And certainly a lot cheaper than the new Chigee 6 will be in a similar configuration.
