let's not forget that the creepy teacher had a thing with Alison a year b4 he even met Aria and that's why he was sooo into writting his dumb book ! He knew that Aria was a minor but she wasn't even the youngest girl he's been with...
And not only that, but when Spencer starts to suspect there's something off with him (which she didn't know it was The Book, but she knew it was Something Big) and gets proof, he still's able to convince the other girls that she's crazy. Spencer, you know, the girl who had previously been put in a mental health facility and had a problem with drugs, and he takes advantage of both of these things to discredit her when she was right! AND THEN ARYA MARRIES HIM AT THE END AND THEY'RE ALL HAPPY FOR HER LIKE??????
The way media portrays inappropriately older creepy men as romantic prospects for girls, literal GIRLS. Not even grown ups is soooo....feels like covert grooming and normalization.
What makes it creepier is that Alison's actress was even *younger* than Alison herself, so picturing Sasha Pieterse "having fun" with the teacher becomes even worse
Nice to see Dylan’s schedule is as consistent as always. The only things certain in this life: death, and watching Dylan every week Happy monday everyone
I actually think you deserve major points for the guess about Emily's boyfriend attacking her. There's a scene in season one where Ben (the boyfriend) confronts her about acting differently around him lately (which, unbeknownst to him, is due to Emily questioning her sexuality). He attempts to sexually assault her but Toby (Jenna's stepbrother) saves Emily and kicks Ben's ass. So you were pretty much right on with that one!
it's pretty neat to see someone in their 20s discover Avatar for the first time. it was such a defining show for a lot of that generation growing up and i'm glad someone who missed out on that can get the chance to experience it. edit: Scott: "Zuko's gonna get banished" how could he be so far off yet so on the mark at the same time
Yeah its pretty obvious lol. Within the first 2 episodes we gets lots of hints to it. Plus its a pretty typical character arc, bad guy is bad due to circumstances, becomes good guy when realizes hes being bad. Of course, Zukos arc is the single greatest version of that arc ive ever seen and it deviates from that arc in quite a few ways.
It is. A few of us were able to predict it too even when the episodes were just coming out 18 Years ago (so old). To be fair, just because it's obvious, doesn't mean it wasn't well done .
I mean it's a known trope in writing, enemies turned friends/mentors. It's only like a 50/50 guess for what Zuko's whole character arc is after the first episode
ATTENTION ALL: I just started watching Pretty Little Liars because of this video and Emily’s boyfriend did get into an altercation with her where another character saves her. +1 letter grade for Scott.
@@gabriellepriest5007maybe half point, because he did get violent with Em, but not because he found out she was lesbian, it was because she didn't want to make out with him, so he was almost completely right haha
The fact that Scott has different math but had a very similar conclusion for ATLA is amazing. It’s like an alternate universe where someone tried to change the timeline but time tried to remain consistent.
Jenna was blinded by Allison and the liars setting off a firecracker in her garage when they were all freshmen. The explosion blinds her. At some point in the show, she gets surgery and regains vision in one eye, but then goes blind again.
PLL really seems like one of those shows where they do twists for the sake of doing twists and they figure out if it makes sense AFTER cementing a twist instead of building it up like writers who actually know what they're doing
Seriously. Throwing out entire plot points because some of your millions of viewers guessed they would happen? The whole reason plot twists are enjoyable is because you can go back and realize all the bread crumbs leading up to them. If you have a plot twist with no bread crumbs, you're not a writer, you're a monkey banging on a keyboard. Like, I can write a story and have random shit happen all the time with no build up or hints that it would happen, but that's not enjoyable for a reader at all. People want hints and clues and build up. Well, the PLL writers are literally people who support pedophilic relationships between teachers and students, so what do you expect from them?
I remember watching this show when it came out, so we got a new episode every week and then a couple months break between seasons. It’d be on like season 3 and they’d show a flashback to some random scene in season 1 and I was just like “wtf that was two years ago, why are we bringing that up now??” I was going to rewatch the series consecutively to try and make sense of it all, but then I just watched Mike’s Mic’s recap of it lol
I watched ATLA as a young teen, and watched it again at 22, and I still think it’s one of the best TV shows ever made. The world building, characters, animation, music, are all so good and hold up nearly two decades later.
That is literally EXACTLY what I just did a few days ago and I’m thoroughly convinced that it’s the best show ever made and no one can prove me wrong 🤷🏻♀️
100% agree!! I remember when new episodes of ATLA was coming out, it was a whole event on Nickelodeon in Sweden! I was so enthralled, even as a young teen! What a time to be alive!! It's really fantastic. My dad was just as excited as I was as well, which is also a testament to how good it is if both adults and kids can enjoy it!
I would love to see you predict "The Good Place" if you haven't seen it, but I also don't know if it is a good idea because that show is so much better without spoilies!
I watched that show and loved it. I only started it because I heard the twist. Turns out it was only the twist up to the end of the first season. That and the rest were so amazing so I can confirm it won’t ruin the show if he gets it spoiled. Still very enjoyable
I watched the entirety of pll as a child with my mother ( same goes for avatar) and let me tell you that it is probably the most complicated thing in existence. The multiple “A’s”, the girls at some point gets kidnapped and forced to think they have to torture each other, deaths everywhere and multiple spin offs. I can’t even begin to remember all of it even as a person who has watched the entire thing
I get flashbacks every time someone mentions that movie 😭 my parents bought the whole family tickets to see it in theaters cuz they knew I loved the show so much. And you can probably guess how I felt about it lmao
@@sas.tronaut5055 I don't get how a director can have literal audio/video source material, and still fk it up so bad. Did he not think fans of the show would notice that he mispronounced literally 70% of the characters names? I like to say that the only episode he ever watched was The Ember Island Players.
I would love to see you do this with the Vampire Diaries and have Jenny Nicholson as your expert guest (also, as everyone else suggested, Mike’s Mic as the expert for either Glee or Gossip Girl)
Your guess at Sokka learning earthbending is interesting!!! It DOES totally make sense for a show like this to have one team member of each bending affinity, and they DO pick up an earthbender later in the series, but it's not him. Good guess given the info that the first episode gave you!
You should have brought Dylan in for a The OC, and you ABSOLUTELY should do one of these with Mike's Mic (he would have been PERFECT for Pretty Little Liars, but perhaps you'll do this again for Gossip Girl? Please!).
This isn’t just an exercise in how well you can imagine a show ending. But I think it shows how well written the shows are. The second show changed to avoid fan theories so its hard to predict. Whereas Avatar is very well written and everything is foreshadowed and hinted at really early. That’s why it’s so loved, the writing just makes so much sense
I also didn't watch ATLA as a kid because we didn't have cable. I watched it the first time at age 28, and it totally holds up! Definitely high enough quality to enjoy without the childhood nostalgia.
I refuse to believe Scott didn't have anything spoiled for him with ATLA. I had the whole show spoiled before I even thought about watching it, and it was still the best show. I am liking your alternate version (if it wasn't with my babies.)
I think he might have heard things and subconsciously remembered them because I feel like Zuko is always brought up in every redemption arc discussion online so I knew vaguely about it when I got around to watching ATLA. And other things were just obvious.
idk i didn’t watch it for the first time until 3-4 years ago and zuko having a redemption arc was spoiled for me because i heard so many people saying it bc was the best redemption arc they’d ever seen but i hadn’t been spoiled for anything else so i guess it just depends what circle of the internet you’re on
I think it depends heavily on the circles you run in. I'd watched the first season as it aired and didn't know anything else about the about the series until I finished it as an adult Edited to add: and I met the Zuko voice actor before that!
Just depends on what you watch. My entire family have never even heard of Avatar. It's like other anime or cartoon shows, unless you watch them..... you wouldn't know
As someone who’s never seen PLL watching you guys talk about it was absolutely hilarious as there was no point in time when I could tell if you were joking or actually describing the plot
The cool part about his predictions of atla or just in general is that hes almost never wrong, its just using new material: ex sokka wont teach aang earthbending bc toph exists, but scott has no idea who toph is and he needed someone to fill the earthbender role. Or how zuko goes crazy but in the show its azula whos not introduced for a while
not me being like "hey this series is similar to something dylan does where he watches the first and last episode" only to see that he is IN the video! what a lovely little surprise!
you literally can’t spoil avatar for yourself, it’s not really about the plot but more so about the storytelling. rewatching it for the 4th time already
Not about the plot more about the storytelling is the PERFECT way to describe that show. I had Zuko's arc spoiled for me but the actual journey of it was still incredibly emotional to watch
some extra info that might help! 1. so the first A ends up being Mona Vanderwal (Hanna's best friend who alison used to make fun of but became cool with hanna after alison went missing). Mona is a legit psycho but super smart 2. emily and ben actually did get into an altercation. they were in the locker room and he still doesn't know she's gay. he tries to force himself onto her, but Toby, Jenna's "scary" step brother runs in and fights him off of her, and emily and toby become friends 3. the cop from the first episode, detective Wilden, does end up dead. he turns out to be a crooked cop and actually kind of knew alison because he dated one of her friends (not one of the protags), Cece 4. Cece later becomes an A. she turns out to be alison's sister. Cece is actually trans but they don't go super deep into that. Cece used to be Charles and he was an "odd" child, so they sent him to the sanitarium. Cece grows up and lives her life but resents Alison and her friends for the life, family, and friends that she never had 5. for the jenna thing, they do cause jenna to be blind, but later she gets a surgery that she pretends doesnt work, but it does. even later her vision starts to go again but I think it comes back again? idk it was confusing 6. Spencer and Toby get together and are actually a really strong couple for a lot of the show if anyone has any more questions I am MORE than happy to answer
@@krissybee123 No your right but also wrong? basically Ally and Spencer are cousins because her mom his Alisons sister But Jason and Spencer are half siblings because they have the same dad and Cece is her half sister because they have the same mom.

Scott predicting that Zuko will get banished from the fire nation without knowing that Zuko is already banished from the fire nation is hilarious to me.
Sooo with Jenna and her being blind she WAS blind and then she WASN'T but she then she WAS again. So by the end of the show she is, in fact, blind. But there was a hot second where she wasn't blind anymore.
to go off that, the REASON she regained her vision was bc she had surgery, and lost it again because the surgery just stopped working or something I think? it’s been a minute lol
yeah this show was literally wild i was so confused
@@notamberp "Your trial version of SIGHT-GIVING SURGERY has expired. Please renew your license to continue BEING ABLE TO SEE" is a pretty annoying popup to get, especially when you're in the middle of traffic.
How was anyone able to follow this show
This show is a mess
Mike’s Mic absolutely needs to be on the next one. he has a series where he breaks down the plot of PLL and i have not seen a minute of the show yet i sat through hours of him breaking it down
Scott could watch season 3 premiere and then guess again and Mike tells him about the cece finale 😂 there’s so much throughout the show he could definitely figure out a way to do another video
Glee or Gossip girl, Mike will be perfect
yes need this now
I totally agree!
Or for Glee or Gossip Girl too
let's not forget that the creepy teacher had a thing with Alison a year b4 he even met Aria and that's why he was sooo into writting his dumb book ! He knew that Aria was a minor but she wasn't even the youngest girl he's been with...
WTF?!?
And not only that, but when Spencer starts to suspect there's something off with him (which she didn't know it was The Book, but she knew it was Something Big) and gets proof, he still's able to convince the other girls that she's crazy. Spencer, you know, the girl who had previously been put in a mental health facility and had a problem with drugs, and he takes advantage of both of these things to discredit her when she was right! AND THEN ARYA MARRIES HIM AT THE END AND THEY'RE ALL HAPPY FOR HER LIKE??????
"I wanted to be the guy who did anything for the story."
That doesn't excuse pedophilia my guy!
Hearing Scott say he thought Zuko was going to kill his uncle made me chuckle I can't lie lmao
The fandom would never forgive him. And given how much grief and guilt Zuko had about betraying Iroh, I can't imagine if he killed him 😢
dylan’s chaotic evil mixed with scott’s chaotic neutral is everything
Nice to see Dylan’s schedule is as consistent as always. The only things certain in this life: death, and watching Dylan every week
Happy monday everyone
Taxes, don’t forget about taxes
He said he’ll be back in February but didn’t specify on which channel! 😂
I knew something bad happened with him but couldn’t remember what haven’t watched in so long!
@@bushdenae I looked the scene up on TH-cam before typing this comment to make sure I retold it accurately tbh 😆
Thank you!! that's what I was thinking too
i forgot about that entirely.
i thought he just broke up with her and then is never talked about again LMAO
it's pretty neat to see someone in their 20s discover Avatar for the first time. it was such a defining show for a lot of that generation growing up and i'm glad someone who missed out on that can get the chance to experience it.

It would be cool to see you try to predict either Gossip Girl or Glee's ending and maybe get Mic's Mic as your expert
This would be an amazing video
oh my god yes
I suggested this too :)
Plz ! Would be amazing
literally i was like why isnt he the pll expert
So my wife predicted Zuko’s whole arc as well just like Scott did… I was so astonished but apparently it’s relatively obvious😂
@@bluz1864 it hasnt truly been 18 years has it. Please say it aint so. 2005 couldnt be 18 whole years ago...

This collab with Dylan was everything I wanted it to be and more.
ATTENTION ALL: I just started watching Pretty Little Liars because of this video and Emily’s boyfriend did get into an altercation with her where another character saves her. +1 letter grade for Scott.
Yes, it was a pretty awful one too in which he tried to rape her.
Don't worry this video contained almost zero spoilers
I was so frustrated by this! I was like Scott was right, and deserves his point!

These are always so fun. If you ever do an episode that includes the Vampire Diaries, DEFINITELY get Jenny Nicholson to be your expert if you can!

Dylan’s evil twin impression was actually spot on
Yep
the accent and everything
“who’s Emily” had me dying😂😂😂
The segment with Dylan and Scott talking about PLL was hilarious. Just two fools in the dark
The fact that Scott has different math but had a very similar conclusion for ATLA is amazing. It’s like an alternate universe where someone tried to change the timeline but time tried to remain consistent.
it just means some things are always meant to be!
I love how excited Dylan got about the twin thing and also the "smelling a bitch from a mile away" 🤣
Scott and Dylan collab? Something I didn’t know I needed
Jenna was blinded by Allison and the liars setting off a firecracker in her garage when they were all freshmen. The explosion blinds her. At some point in the show, she gets surgery and regains vision in one eye, but then goes blind again.
You were really close in the idea that Sokka finds a true fighting style and masters it. But the zuko predictions were SPECTACULAR
@@kayk480 Game of Thrones did that in the later seasons to justify dumb shit characters would do so you're not completely confused
Friendly Space Ninja also has a really good video on PLL, in case you donʼt know it
rude.
I've probably seen ATLA over 150 times (including reaction channels), and it's still the greatest animated show in existence.
YES
31:36 “now you need a new predator” 😂😂 Dylan’s just so great! So proud to be a Troublemaker & Struggler ☺️
You should definitely do this with Once Upon a Time, trust me it's impossible.
I second this wholeheartedly. If he gets even one thing right in that batcrap crazy series, I will be legitimately impressed.
OMG Yes.
Yess! Literally one of the most memorable shows for me
Fr. I love that show lmao
i was just thinking of rewatching this series since i stopped last time after they added the frozen girls
I would love to see you predict "The Good Place" if you haven't seen it, but I also don't know if it is a good idea because that show is so much better without spoilies!
Yesssssss omg
There was more than one spin-off? I watched Deadwood, and it was so weird.
It's impressive how much M. Night Shyamalan missed that Scott could pick up in one episode.
he even pronounced all the names right
I get flashbacks every time someone mentions that movie 😭 my parents bought the whole family tickets to see it in theaters cuz they knew I loved the show so much.

Mike's Mic would've conducted that call in front of his PLL string wall & it most likely would've traumatized Scott.
I would've loved to see it
YES
YESYESYES TO BOTH
Your guess at Sokka learning earthbending is interesting!!!
Please!).
Mike's Mic as an expert for Lost would be SICK! And imagine Scott having to guess any of the Lost plot...
Good plot twists are something you can predict.
@@genericname2747 this is why spoilers don’t always bother me. The visual execution should matter way more than what you read on paper.
how much scott was able to glean about the avatar from the pilot really is a testament to how solid the storytelling and characters are
I also didn't watch ATLA as a kid because we didn't have cable. I watched it the first time at age 28, and it totally holds up! Definitely high enough quality to enjoy without the childhood nostalgia.
I feel like im missing something but like im 15 and that show was my child hood when i was 5 😭☠️
I refuse to believe Scott didn't have anything spoiled for him with ATLA.
I'd watched the first season as it aired and didn't know anything else about the about the series until I finished it as an adult
Edited to add: and I met the Zuko voice actor before that!
Just depends on what you watch. My entire family have never even heard of Avatar. It's like other anime or cartoon shows, unless you watch them..... you wouldn't know
to be fair he’s not really big into cartoons, it doesn’t surprise me if some stuff slipped thru
As someone who’s never seen PLL watching you guys talk about it was absolutely hilarious as there was no point in time when I could tell if you were joking or actually describing the plot
Dylan and Scott are the best duo I didn’t know I needed
Mike: I'm not going to give you any spoilers since you actually want to watch the show..
Also Mike: BLOODBENDING.
I’m so glad to hear the Mike’s Mic shoutout! Love his PLL series!
You narrating what Spencer's sister should have said was hilarious, ty
Scott guessing everyone's going to die in Pretty Little Liars is very on brand for Dylan
The cool part about his predictions of atla or just in general is that hes almost never wrong, its just using new material: ex sokka wont teach aang earthbending bc toph exists, but scott has no idea who toph is and he needed someone to fill the earthbender role. Or how zuko goes crazy but in the show its azula whos not introduced for a while
I like how Scott predicted Zuko’s banishment would happen DURING the series
“Angsty little punk” is the perfect description for Zuko in pre-redemption arc Zuko
Dylan would ACTUALLY be an expert on The OC and would absolutely love to provide all the plot lines to someone.
not me being like "hey this series is similar to something dylan does where he watches the first and last episode" only to see that he is IN the video! what a lovely little surprise!
scott watching pretty little liars as a series would be hilarious i think he would lose his mind watching it all
you were kinda right about the boyfriend, he tries to assault emily in the locker room and she's rescued by Toby who later becomes Spencer's boyfriend
Scott, you DID NOT SPOIL ATLA FOR YOURSELF! It's literally the best show ever made! AAAAHHHH

Avatar The Last Airbender is better then The Legend of Korra.

You and Dylan need to just do this for basically all the shows he's looked at, that last part was gold
Mikes mic collab next! he would be such a fun expert for any of the shows he’s done deep dives for
i’ve been missing dylan WAY too much during his january break and this just saved my life
you literally can’t spoil avatar for yourself, it’s not really about the plot but more so about the storytelling. rewatching it for the 4th time already
hard agree
Not about the plot more about the storytelling is the PERFECT way to describe that show. I had Zuko's arc spoiled for me but the actual journey of it was still incredibly emotional to watch
like you can say to someone that Aang learns how to bend all elements but you can't explain the whole journey
@@sams_not_here yeah and it's a fairly easy guess that Zuko ends up teaching him but the ride to get to that point is so wild
some extra info that might help!
1. so the first A ends up being Mona Vanderwal (Hanna's best friend who alison used to make fun of but became cool with hanna after alison went missing). Mona is a legit psycho but super smart
2. emily and ben actually did get into an altercation. they were in the locker room and he still doesn't know she's gay. he tries to force himself onto her, but Toby, Jenna's "scary" step brother runs in and fights him off of her, and emily and toby become friends
3. the cop from the first episode, detective Wilden, does end up dead. he turns out to be a crooked cop and actually kind of knew alison because he dated one of her friends (not one of the protags), Cece
4. Cece later becomes an A. she turns out to be alison's sister. Cece is actually trans but they don't go super deep into that. Cece used to be Charles and he was an "odd" child, so they sent him to the sanitarium. Cece grows up and lives her life but resents Alison and her friends for the life, family, and friends that she never had
5. for the jenna thing, they do cause jenna to be blind, but later she gets a surgery that she pretends doesnt work, but it does. even later her vision starts to go again but I think it comes back again? idk it was confusing
6. Spencer and Toby get together and are actually a really strong couple for a lot of the show
if anyone has any more questions I am MORE than happy to answer
Was Spencer also like half siblings with Alison and cece or am I remembering that wrong?
@@krissybee123 No your right but also wrong? basically Ally and Spencer are cousins because her mom his Alisons sister But Jason and Spencer are half siblings because they have the same dad and Cece is her half sister because they have the same mom.

As for PLL, I believe Jenna wasn't full blind at some point, BUT she was blind in the last episode when she could smell that Spencer is not Spencer
I believe that Jenna went to an operation to make her sight better, but it made her completely blind afterwards
Also! You guessed that A is the first letter of a name. A is for Alex
I would love to see a check in video from Scott about how he feels about Avatar after he finishes the show. It is just that good.
Also, so cool to see Dylan on here. Never thought I would see Scott and him together.

I think I'm too into the deep dive analysis/commentary channels, haha.
Hearing Scott describe certain aspects of possibly the most iconic redemption arc in all of fiction just. COMPLETELY wrong is the funniest thing possible. The concept of Zuko killing Iroh is absolutely bonkers to me xD
I still find it crazy that people haven't seen Avatar: The Last Airbender. I hope we get a full video with your thoughts on the show in the future
Scott and Dylan collab truly a win for me today
Ezra is unfortunately SO not dead that even the spin-off show had a part where Aria and him wanted to adopt a characters baby lmao
wtf?
This is a great demonstration of writers that know how the show ends from the first episode vs writers that have no idea lol
You and Dylan were the best parts of this entire video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The pretty little liars show was wild but listening to y’all talk about the plot and how it ended out loud just makes it that much more ridiculous and I love it.
