So much so that even people given hours to play around in it didn't find everything. Vaati said it's probably the most densely packed souls game yet.
CalebTheHolyman No I truly didn't. I'm always determined to beat the games solo. I ended up summoning 1 phantom for O+S and Four Kings on my first playthrough after multiple fails. Same with Artorias in the DLC. My god I miss those days. Defeating Artorias was one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life
What I like about this series is that there's a bit of humour, but a lot of the banter is about the gameplay and mechanics. With a complex game like this it really works. Do more of these!
At 23:08 I was literally just yelling at my screen "Just hit him. Just hit him. JUST HIT HIM. HIT HIM. HIT HIM." Out of all the things in Dark Souls design I never understood why the early game basically trains new players to constantly go for plunge attacks when you can just HIT THE BOSS

Also quick tip for you guys: Summons can't use estus, but your estus will heal anyone you've summoned (except NPC's) as well! Next time you summon be sure to pop an estus if they're injured!

Rory does need to grow a pair with bosses in particular. The Demon was down to one hit and he's panicking like crazy when it all it would have taken is a single poke! Patience and caution are important to playing Dark Souls well but knowing when to attack is equally as important.

We're now seeing Rory enter his cocoon phase. The hubris and arrogance was beaten out of him with the Gargoyles and Undead Parish. He has now entered the cocoon of fear and humility, ready to be tempered and molded into a legitimate player. Can't wait to see him struggle in the Depths.
Rory and Dan in case yous still don't know you can get 10 estus flasks at any bonfire but you have to crush 2 humanities to do it everytime as 1 humanity you use at the bonfire to become human and the other you have to use by kindling the flame once you kindle the flame you will replenish 10 estus flasks from there onward until you reach a new bonfire then rinse and repeat.
his furst attempt at the capra demon he could have won because he ran up the stairs and got all three enemies seperated. if he would have just kept his nerve, killed the dog, ran back to th3 front drink an estus while thr capra is charging then run back up the stairs he would have been ok.
My god...that first time he was "fighting" the Kapra demon I thought he was going to do it maybe when he made it up the stairs, but then, panicked, didn't heal, didn't take out the dog, didn't trap the demon.. =/ jumped off the stairs..failed..

I did my first playthrough with only either npc summons or solo except on Pikachu and Snorlax. I died 13 times to them before I summoned help.

It's a VERY interesting game design. Mixing an RTS style survival, with the 3rd person RPG style play.
Well, if other people are going to beat all the bosses for him, he is going to beat the game for sure
