I was heartbroken by Eddie Guerrero's death. With what Chris Beniot did and his death; I was feeling a range of emotions, disbelief, confusion, and sadness all coming to mind. Ive listened to this before and they have cut it out now. But Chris says we will never know what really happened. I believe Chavo says he has a theory …
Chavo says he believes Benoit never sent those messages or someone forced him to send them. When they ended the first phone call Benoit had to leave because it sounded like someone was at his door then 3 or so hours later he sounded miserable and Chavo believes whoever was at the door killed Nancy and Daniel and Chris was being forced by the ‘intruders’ to to talk to Chavo then either Chris killed himself or the ‘intruders killed him and made it look like a double murder Suicide. Because no drugs or alcohol was in his body despite there being drugs and alcohol on ‘show’ when the police turned up. @@davidfair2009 you calling a random person on Internet a human garbage also shows a lot what kinda of person you are too. Imagine judgging a random guy for what he said. If you calling Benoit that and that too also shows you are a clown yourself for calling a dead person and body names. God has plans for us all and only God can judge and will judge. You have no right to call out people names. Besides its a human thing to forgive but not forget. Simple as that bud its either that or you should shut your mouth. When I eventually heard about Chris Benoit passing away it was just before the tribute show they put on for him that night on raw back in 07..didn't know details didn't know exactly what happened but as we all know 24 hours later when it was brought to the news that he actually killed his family I was at a loss for words.🤐I couldn't believe it 😱 it just seemed unreal it seem like somebody plotted on Chris you just didn't think in a million years he will do something like this. the guy truly love this family 😩 UNDERSTAND BENOIT LOVED HIS FAMILY Y'ALL. I have seen the dark side of the Ring episode I have seen podcasts to wrestling documentaries on this Chris Benoit tragedy hell even the entire 911 dispatch call to the same text messages chavo read about the dogs and the garage 🤐😭and it's still hits different is just like Ross said it's one of the saddest things in wrestling man 🤧😞 the career that Chris had he'll never be in the Hall of Fame what he did outside of the Ring will stick to him forever like glue and it's unfortunately that's what's tarnishing his legacy😭🤷🏾♂️
it's sad how fans dont want to talk about Chris in a positive way at all, instead someone on a comment section accused Chris' actions as pre-meditated. nobody seems to understand that he wasnt of a right mind at all when it happened, his brains was jello from all the headbutts he did and chairshots he took. i told that commenter that if i was a part of the Benoit Family, i'd subpoena his ass for slander, Chris was NOT a monster, he just wasnt 100% upstairs.
Chris benoit as a Wrestler is one of the greatest of all time Chris benoit as a human? fuck him as paul heyman perfectly said 3 people died that night 1 had the choice i know he had the brain of a 90 year old when they studied him post mortem but CTE is no excuse
I agree. I'm mean killing your family, including you, is always the biggest no-no whatsoever! But understanding that Benoit is not like that before that day and the amount of injuries he took. That's what I think people are missing sometimes.
His condition was very messed up from his career but how much of it was on himself. He saw what the diving headbutt to dynamite kid and kept doing it plus the amount of drugs he put in his body too. No matter how you feel about him he still took 2 innocent lives and for some that's unforgivable especially when one of them was his own son. CTE is a very important issue and in a way because of him the wwe take it more seriously along with Christopher Nowinskis research. It overshadowed his work and some people can't shake it
I was 9 when the incident happened, and I remember waking up to the news all over the TV. I had only been watching wrestling for a year, but I knew Benoit was one of the best. It's obviously still shocking to this day.
I was 19, I had just got finished with my classes that day. I turned on Monday Night Raw and they had old Benoit matches. I thought nothing of it until it hit me when they were talking about Benoit like it was past tense and then I said, ".....wait.....Benoit passed??" I logged on to Yahoo Messenger, and one of my friends had just logged on. He was a huge Benoit fan at the time and I just messaged him and said what's up. Then I asked him, "hey, are you watching RAW?" He replied no and then I was like..."aww shit, he don't know" I told him to turn to RAW right now. Next thing I remember was him saying he saying couldn't believe it, and literally told me he wanted to cry. I told him go ahead and cry because I'm about to. That whole thing felt surreal when I found out.
Back during those times and days there were no rules because everything was completely light. There were so many chair head head shots, there was the WWF Brawl for All which was just like boxing and it was completely real too, the rope headbuts, the diving headbuts, and the leg drops. I have actually seen the producers build a WWE ring and there is nothing soft to catch there falls.
Yeah, in that same year months early, I just talked about that Elimination Chamber match at New Years Revolution as much as I love that match, I wonder how much that match effect Benoit?
@@adriansmith5279 he sacrificed himself for us. He always bringed his A game to the match and in ring in general. Sad how his live ended from hero to 0 in just 1 summer weekend of 07

It can be said that had Eddie not passed away, Chris would not have done what he did. Chavo explaining how Chris was so secretive was how he treated everybody. Everybody except Eddie. Jericho said it best, Benoit's fate was sealed the moment Eddie died.
*The fact of the matter is the day Eddie died, that was the beginning of the end for Chris Benoit. After he lost his best friend, nobody could save him unfortunately. Even though yeah he had CTE, however, that doesn’t excuse what he did to his wife, Nancy and his 7-year-old son Daniel. One of those things that’s just very depressing to talk about in wrestling.*
I can remember I had just started college and I wanted to watch wwe first thing in the morning. I saw in the news he had passed then soon as I turned on wwe Vince made the announcement there will be no tribute to Chris. Then after the show finished the news revealed it I actually thought to myself wtaf is this a storyline or something because they be breaking the fourth wall like crazy and it took a while to sink in.
I remember they talked about it on dark side of the ring on the Eddie Benoit episodes how they no idea it was this bad they wished they seen the signs and I remember the huge backlash they had having to give interviews go on radio stations go on TV shows trying to defend notches the company, WWE, but wrestling as a whole from Edge to John Cena , Bret Hart Jericho
When I watched the DSOTR episode, hearing what they found in the gym of his house, was just so disturbing. All the Bible verses scrawled on the walls and of course Chris hanging from the weights
To be fair, No one thinks their friend is out murdering their family. I remember in high school this kid was super nice guy we would talk and hang out. Never in my life did I expect him to one day kill his mom due his inability to keep move forward after watching his dad slowly pass away of cancer.
@@DrizzFizzlebeatz are you talking about Chavos? Dad or somebody else if that happened to your friend I’m sorry but I do find it weird that they didn’t tell anybody about the text messages or anything?
@@WrestlingGod-f4v I’m giving an example by using a friend I had in High School that ended up killing his mom. He never showed signs of being a killer so when he didn’t show up at school, we just assumed he was sick not killing someone. So it’s not weird of Chavo to just think maybe Benoit was sick or missed his flight.
Back then Chris was taking steriods like crazy just so that he could keep up with that wrestler image. In the autospy report, it was a proven fact that he had the brain of an 80 year old man. It all is just so very sad.
This is just so vivid in my memory too because I will never, ever forget that night when they found out Chris Benoit was no longer living. Vince McMahon dedicated that whole show to Chris because the whole 3 hours were just filled with wresttlers sharing their times and memories with Chris. It was just so emotional. Tuesday the truth came out about what really happened and that led to Vince making an announcement that Friday that Chris Benoit's name would never be mentioned in WWE again, and it hasn't. They are treating him like a true pariah.
not guilty by reason of insanity, if he didnt end himself i'm sure that would've been the verdict, he loved his family, he loved his job, he loved what he had, there is no way he did it and he was himself.
when the whole thing happened Chavo himself said he was on his phone to benoit and heard benoit was in a scuffle with someone at his front door but Benoits phone has never been found @@Keepitpush99
That confirms that sadly chris premeditated this, to a degree at least. That "i love you" and those sms do not come from someone that is not in a dark place and thinking about what it's about to unfold. It wasn't on a whim of anger, roid rage, brain of an 80 years old or any other excuses to come to term with it. Otherwise we'd have people with concussions being prone to be killers, and we do not. Shit is just sad.
@@Alex-ot4tm Ofc, im not saying they didn't play a role in the grandscheme of everything. Im just debating people that solely blame the concussion thing (like jericho) because they can't cope someone they knew could do such a thing. Again, chris wasn't the only person alive that suffered multiple concussions. If the concussions were the sole cause, we'd have all those people turn into murderers, which again, they do not. We're humans, we sadly are capable of incredibly cruel things when we are in a dark place, and since eddie passed away chris clearly was (other interviews with people close to chris had said that him and his wife were actually fighting a lot in the previous months and many others have mentioned chris really not being the same after eddie's passing so it's not just me, a random shmuck on the internet, claiming so). Again, someone that gets taken off by a whim of anger or dementia, doesn't send those texts messages nor says that "i love you" like chris did with chavo. Chris knew he was about to snap. It's unfortunate that both his wife and one of his kid were there at that very moment. Why he didn't seek professional help is beyond me (that is in my opinion the biggest ? left unsolved of this tragedy). The facts say chris benoit murdered two other people and then took his life. That's the only fact we can't turn away from. That is reality. There's no excuse for that.
People with CTE have rage moments and then moments of clarity thats the problem with CTE it makes the person unstable and unpredictable, personally I dont think it was premidated, I believe he went on a rage and accidentally killed Nancy, then when he came back to his senses he saw what he did panicked and decided to take out his son with pills then he later killed himself
I was going to buy his dvd and told myself as a 15 year old. Payday is tomorrow I’ll go to FYE before it closed. Found out he died the next day. Never got the dvd set
The Timeline they always try to tell never matches up to Chavo story , i only believe him . I believe someone set him up and of course the cte and roids are an easy blame .🤷🏾♂️
It is an extremely dark moment in wrestling. However, there was a lot of positives that came out of it. So in that aspect, I wouldn’t say one of the darkest. Darkest moments to me states there was no positives at all from it that isn’t already known
I’m not trying to trying to defend Chris in anyway but I feel like there something dark that we don’t know about the whole situation. Like you said he was a family man so I don’t see him just killing his family like this so there something darker than we know
Concussions and ctemade him do it, unfortunately you can be a faily and till do something horrible. As great a wrestler he was, he is rightfully forgotten in the past.

Sad thing is hes remembered mostly for the sad Tragedy and not of his passion for wrestling. Thats what ultimatly killed him was hes passion for wrestling all the abuse he put on his body just to extertain us.
I saw last night an old Fox News tweet from back in 2007 that indicated that his wife caused him to do what he did because she was making foul remarks about their son Daniel 😐🤷🏾♂️
He's been mad not cause of concussions. How did made feel?! Shocked and sorry but not sorry for his death cause he killed and avoided jail. Nancy sued him in 2003 but released it after some month, he beat her up real bad that night worst than ever and there was blood to prove it, he strangled her with the cable and pushing his knee to her back and he choked his baby asleep with the pillow I guess. You don't kill, especially for ❤
I don't think he did it. I suspect foul play. Maybe my mind just wants me to believe this so bad.......because those texts were sent AFTER he allegedly died. So someone else sent them.
I still to this day don’t believe he did it and i also can see his son knows Chris didn’t do that. If he was a Christian man he would not put bibles by their bodies that’s just demonic and that’s what ppl who are believers of God and Jesus knows that

People like himself and me and many others praise Benoit for been a great wrestler and not talking about person behind the tv and in his 4 walls. Everyone has there own demons and problems and good side too and also not to judge book by its cover. Period.
This is just so sad man 😔
When I eventually heard about Chris Benoit passing away it was just before the tribute show they put on for him that night on raw back in 07..didn't know details didn't know exactly what happened but as we all know 24 hours later when it was brought to the news that he actually killed his family I was at a loss for words.🤐I couldn't believe it 😱 it just seemed unreal it seem like somebody plotted on Chris you just didn't think in a million years he will do something like this. the guy truly love this family 😩 UNDERSTAND BENOIT LOVED HIS FAMILY Y'ALL.
THANK YOU! Every time I say this, people say that I'm defending the action..
CTE is so F... up,
RIP Chris Daniel and Nancy
It overshadowed his work and some people can't shake it
Coping this hard for a murderer is pretty pathetic
I was actually watching night of champions live, and I was confused on why Chris never came out and was replaced.
I've said it before and I'll say it again we may never know 💯 percent what truly happened in that house that weekend
Crazy
I found out turning on raw and it being a tribute show 12 year old me was devastated I was a fan of Chris
💀 the diving headbutt off a ladder and that first mitb match hits different 😭
Yeah, in that same year months early, I just talked about that Elimination Chamber match at New Years Revolution as much as I love that match, I wonder how much that match effect Benoit?
@@adriansmith5279 he sacrificed himself for us. He always bringed his A game to the match and in ring in general. Sad how his live ended from hero to 0 in just 1 summer weekend of 07
Man i used to love benoit back in the day man like winning on the Royal rumble in 2004 and won the world title at wrestlemania at M.S.G and hell i watch those shows as a kid and 3 years later after eddie passed due to heart failure Chris was on a emotional wreck as much hell i still remember that Eddie has stopped moving on smackdown and it shattered me probably one darkest moments not in wwe but in wrestling history man its just crazy
It can be said that had Eddie not passed away, Chris would not have done what he did. Chavo explaining how Chris was so secretive was how he treated everybody. Everybody except Eddie. Jericho said it best, Benoit's fate was sealed the moment Eddie died.
I have been saying the same exact thing bro. If Eddie never passed away, then Benoit would have never killed his family and himself.
If anyones wondering who Scott Armstrong is thats road doggs brother, he was an agent at the time probablly still is
RIP Chris benoit and his family
*The fact of the matter is the day Eddie died, that was the beginning of the end for Chris Benoit. After he lost his best friend, nobody could save him unfortunately. Even though yeah he had CTE, however, that doesn’t excuse what he did to his wife, Nancy and his 7-year-old son Daniel. One of those things that’s just very depressing to talk about in wrestling.*
he was not himself when it happened, idc what you think.
@@UltimateGamerCCCTE can cause mood swings and changes in behavior, combine that with his steroid abuse, plus alcohol. It was a recipe for disaster.
When Eddie died, so did Chris. There was no saving him.
When I watched the DSOTR episode, hearing what they found in the gym of his house, was just so disturbing. All the Bible verses scrawled on the walls and of course Chris hanging from the weights
Yeah, the Bible one is something else!
Oh to be a fly on the wall at that arena that day!
Damn Man
Very weird that either Chavo or Armstrong didnt tell WWE about these texts for a day + they didnt even try to contact Chris on Sunday.
@@WrestlingGod-f4vI think he was talking about HIS friend.
@@biggestwanderer8827 oh, OK thanks you for letting me know
@@WrestlingGod-f4v I’m giving an example by using a friend I had in High School that ended up killing his mom. He never showed signs of being a killer so when he didn’t show up at school, we just assumed he was sick not killing someone. So it’s not weird of Chavo to just think maybe Benoit was sick or missed his flight.
Damn… bro went out like a G
His name will never, ever be mentioned or uttered in WWE again Chris Benoit the person will forever be a monster.
I feel like there was something wrong with him mentally that he couldn’t control
Exactly, always cringe when people suggest he goes into the hall of fame. People like to forget he k*lied a child.
Back then Chris was taking steriods like crazy just so that he could keep up with that wrestler image. In the autospy report, it was a proven fact that he had the brain of an 80 year old man. It all is just so very sad.
Monsters aren't born, they're created.
@@Nicholaspimpinsohard that do make sense
This is heartbreaking to hear.
I Was Shocked When I Heard About It
This is just so vivid in my memory too because I will never, ever forget that night when they found out Chris Benoit was no longer living.
I don't care what people say

CHRIS BENOIT IS INNOCENT
CHRIS BENOIT IS INNOCENT
CHRIS BENOIT IS INNOCENT

not guilty by reason of insanity, if he didnt end himself i'm sure that would've been the verdict, he loved his family, he loved his job, he loved what he had, there is no way he did it and he was himself.
They need to enhance the audio in the background of one his final calls it might give us some clarity
when the whole thing happened Chavo himself said he was on his phone to benoit and heard benoit was in a scuffle with someone at his front door but Benoits phone has never been found @@Keepitpush99

I think was a combination of all those things that led to a dangerous recipe
4:01 chris benoit hung out with yokozuna wonder what year that was
Its from 1992. :)
His last match was on ecw i remember watching that live and then Vince McMahon fake his death around that time
It is an extremely dark moment in wrestling. However, there was a lot of positives that came out of it. So in that aspect, I wouldn’t say one of the darkest. Darkest moments to me states there was no positives at all from it that isn’t already known
I heard a different account from Chavo that for some reason I can't find on TH-cam.

It’s still hard for me to believe . Weather it was beniot or someone who did it it’s really hard
Im gonna get mad heat for this but I don't care at this point. I truly believe what Beniot did was simply caused by CTE and he clearly was in his right mind. I have 0 issues watching a Beniot match. I can understand why some find it hard to watch a match from him and im not condoning what went down rip to Nancy and Daniel.
Chris shouldn't be in hot water NOTHING has been proven
It HAS been proven that he did it. It was proven in 07
When I first saw that Raw tribute, I thought the whole family died from carbon monoxide.
The other son David is training to be a wrestler.
May God have mercy on David and all the unfair judgement people will likely pass on him.
I was sad when I heard it he was favorite wrestler like Eddie and Kurt angle and rhyno guys that’s 6 feet and below by height I always want to be like Eddie and rhyno cause the attitude and being physical I’m like that in real life I don’t care u bigger than me or stronger than me but u want out work me
Sounds like Benoit was worried about someone following him…yes he was a loner but the abrupt move and a PO BOX. I don’t wanna get into the conspiracy of it but there are some difficult unanswered questions in this whole story
Okay not gonna lie I didn’t know that Chris died for the longest time or even the circumstances behind his death and his family. I didn’t watch people like WhatCulture or Wrestlamia till 2016. Also never really if ever watched the News so I wouldn’t. But man this was very hard to hear
To think Nancy deserves a hall of fame more then Chris, but yet even that's destroyed, not darkest moments, darkest mysteries!
did they ever check kid's DNA match with the father or Nancy was a faithful woman?
even if she wasnt, i doubt that he would've done it, he wasnt himself bruh.
Daniel looked exactly like Chris Benoit.
Part of me still thinks he was murdered. Some things still don't add up.
Sad thing is hes remembered mostly for the sad Tragedy and not of his passion for wrestling. Thats what ultimatly killed him was hes passion for wrestling all the abuse he put on his body just to extertain us.
My 8 year old brother considers Chris Benoit his favorite wrestler, but he doesn't know what he did, but I don't know how to tell him.
You have to but when he grows a bit older. Then he might know meaning behind seperate art from artist
I saw last night an old Fox News tweet from back in 2007 that indicated that his wife caused him to do what he did because she was making foul remarks about their son Daniel 😐🤷🏾♂️
I have a feeling that was FOX being FOX, its very on brand for them to mislead
what was the remarks? Of what she said

I was more frightened than I was sad. Its as scary as telling ghost stories around the camp fire during night hours.
