    Don't know if you still use the cobbler machine, but I found the best way to mount it is to bolt it to a 4x4 block, then screw the block into a 1"x 8"x18" board. The board keeps it balanced and can be clamped to a table if necessary, while the 4x4 block gives you height. Works a treat and is super stable.

    Since the design of Boba's new blaster appears to be mostly tubes, it would be interesting to see you do an all metal build. Good job on the pouches!

    Sweet pouches, I might have to make a couple. For anyone trying this, If I print out a pattern I'll glue it onto cardboard, like from a frozen pizza box, cut it out and tape it to the leather and the cardboard will give you a more solid edge to trace, works easier.on the rough side so you're mistakes can be hidden too, just another way to do it

    A Mando build for anything less than $1000 is a good deal. I can only imagine how much your aluminum build costs! Someday I'll have the time/money to join the Mercs. It's been a dream of mine for over a decade!

      It can be done for less than $300, if you do it right.
      I’m on my third kit with the Mercs, and total between them is only about $1000, spread over the seven years I’ve been a member.

      with the metal builds the main cost is tools I used 18 guage and I built mine and most of my buddy's for a couple hundred canadian $$... heavier but I'm not able to weld aluminum that tool thing again lol

    Pretty cool, but you could have easly made them usable with some hidden snap connectors on inside of flap.

    Hell, I would love to see a custom Mando build. I've been struggling with ideas for my MMCC build.

    If you were going to glue the flaps down, I'd have put a wooden brick/blank inside each one to give it a little extra sturdiness & bulk. Nice looking product!

    Have you worked with 3d printed parts? Years ago I also saw some hessian sack and resin used over a buck to make cosplay armour. But that was 10+ years ago so I can't find where/who did it.

  • @LostWhits
    @LostWhits 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the pouches are glued closed why didn't you keep the block inside to help force the sharp edges.
    . Only other thing I noticed is You didn't burnish the edges of your leather. Simple to do and really improves the look of the leather.
