Great video! Best way to do this safe among others I've watched. I specially like the part cutting the pages with the saw.. . Instead of like others using a box cutter cutting page by page, it's way faster and better (I would not have the patience to cut page by page). Ah! Also the cat..LOL!!
In all honesty, you shouldn't've flocked it...made a mess as you said, and didn't look good anyway. Should've left the black on the bottom, and the book pages in between.
OMG I am laughing my butt off. I watched another video where a woman, using mod podge and an Exacto knife makes her book safe. Then I watch this one where a guy is pulling out the power tools. Luckily I am quite adept at using "men's" tools and I think your way is quicker. But, I can't stop laughing at how different the approaches are.
Cutting the pages with an exacto blade isn't really a terrible way to do it. You can can like 40ish pages at a time. If you don't have power tools, it's a pretty easy way to do it.
That bonus build, waaaaaaaaaay better than scrounging the trash for scraps of cardboard to mix glue.
Very nice! Toilet flushing at the end... priceless! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Heath glad you liked it!
but, toiletpaper is made to dissolve in water, not pages in a book. (Risk of clogging up the pipes)
(Would work in an outhouse though)
Also clearly an old-world toilet flush :)
I still have a childhood book safe that I ordered from the back of a comic book entitled, "the principles of economics". It actually has a combo dial!
Made one of these years ago for stashing car keys out of a travel guide book for leaving in a hotel room but never got round to using it

The bonus build! hah!
That steel drum earned you sub lmao
Im sure you have to be Irish? an amazingly long way of doing this simple task.
Are those headless pin nails you used? And why 2 layers of wood paneling on one side?
Were you mic-ing the toilet with a hydrophone, or is it just the world's loudest toilet?
How can the blade on your scroll saw be so long? Is the scroll saw modified? What type of blade is it?
Standard size blade
This is awesome~ I just made one with chipboard and a box~
thanks

Hello sir! You know sometimes wood gets fungi! how to remove it? is there a professional way?
If its on the surface, standard cleaning products. if its in the wood itself you can kill it but not remove it.
Kitty!

Actually it looked pretty good and it binds cf the sides

some pretty heavy vomiting at the end there. Consult a doctor. Another great build. Cheers.
It was a toilet flushing ;)
Alot of work when you can buy a real one with lock and key for £10
You couldn't 7 years ago
Waste of time. Books aren't even dangerous.
