This is probably my all time favorite attraction at any theme park. I've ridden it 5 times straight when there was no line. There's just something great about being yelled at by the loggers and being referred to as "Hey, you in the log." Also fun is raising and waving your arms in the air on the lift at the end, as if you reach high enough you'll trigger a sensor that will cause a loud "SIT DOWN" to be played. Ahhh the fun times of my youth.
yes, or at least, they used to I could say. it used to be a haunted attraction along with the mine ride. but this year, ending a long tradition that dates back when haunt first started. all we know is that the rides will "have something scary in them." heck, I know people who aren't going just because of this. heck, they are trying to compete with disneyland because they are removing the carnation plaza lol.
35 years , actually. i grew up down the street from there in the 70's and 80's .. the shed on the north east side (parallel to the train tracks) was an enclosed tunnel , then a few years ago 2009-10 they removed it's wall offering a view, not of reflection lake, the carousel and the church of the reflections, but of a big orange and yellow b and m suspended coaster which , while fun, doesn't lend ANY continuity to the ghost town theme.
the opening of that shed is confounding, i suppose they did it to give people a view of silver bullet , which really , is the last thing you want people to see in a THEME park on a ride where the THEME is supposed to be old timey lumberjacks in the old west cedar fair has AMUSEMENT parks all over the country and only ONE theme park in their chain, you think they'd get that right.
thats sort of like comparing a well maintained 1969 malibu to a fully loaded 1989 mercedes. they are similar in that they are both flume rides, but other than that they are two different things all together .
Oh do they change it up for Knotts Scary Farm?
Yes

Oh thats cool!
Another great video, crystal clear quality as well :) I wish I had a life like you were you can go around filming all the rides..
Keep in mind this opened in the 60s, and was one of the first log rides ever built.
Are they doing a refurb on it or something?
that log ride is soo fast! lol. All we have is Splash Mountain, the tour is slow but the drop is really fast.
