    One of the Wallabies best games I have ever watched.The wallabies were at the end of every unfortunate and unforeseen occurrence right from the outset.Lozing Quade Coopet and the Red card sending off.The team showed a lot of character composure and resistance..And the result was a testament of that display showed by the whole team.congrstulations.

      Bill William Dexter. I agree one of the best games I ve watched and one of those games against South Africa last year was up there as well, they've got good players but have been exceeding expectations and to me Dave Rennie deserves a lot of the credit for the resurgence in wallabies rugby, they couldn't have signed a better coach. Stoked for Australian and Southern hemisphere rugby.
      And the NZRU sign Ian Foster lol and with all our talent we have results like last year! lucky he got covid this week and Joe schmidt took over this week and got us up for the test last night

    That was some game, well done Aus. 2 players down early game, Quade Cooper was a big blow, and soft red card. And still won. This team is looking strong. Man, Michael Hooper though, he's just the complete package. Only reason England scored those last two tries is I think Aus celebrated a little too early. true. at the moment Scotland, Wales and England are on the decline, and Ireland are kind of in limbo. i'd say that the best team in the world right now is probably France.
      however, you also have to remember that these games are played at home for the Southern Hemisphere sides. NZ lost to Ireland and France, Australia lost to Scotland, England and Wales, SA lost to England in the Autumn when they were playing away. so home advantage is clearly massive when deciding the results between these sides.
      at neutral venues i wouldn't say there is much between most of the sides in the top 6-8. i'm a Scotland supporter and we have beaten all those sides in recent years bar NZ, SA and Ireland. we have good records against England, Australia, Argentina etc. and i don't even think we are any good tbh haha.

      Long hair is just a hazard though in general (swains hair is short) and folau had grabbed whatever he could of lleyds in that tackle (his collar along with his hair).
      George smith had his hair yanked on numerous occasions too.
      Hill isn't holding on to long flowing hair strands, he's not making a desperate cover tackle...he's just straight up grabbing a fist full of hair and yanking it to annoy swain in the maul .

I'm a kiwi so no axe to grind, but Hooper was epic all match so deserved the chance to make the tackle rather than have that try as his last memory/vision of what was an incredible win... Not that it really matters, winners beers are always delicious.

    • @Karma-qt4ji
      @Karma-qt4ji 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottwalton3663 The law defines the end of the ruck and would immediately remove the offside line, allowing players from both teams to move forward as long as they come from an onside position- the law does not require all bodies in the ruck to immediately repel like some nuclear explosion and all referees would be happy if the ruck broke up in a reasonable time frame. Expecting an immediate break would completely negate the quick dart around the fringes that all teams, even and perhaps especially New Zealand, are wont to do. As long as a player does not hold another unreasonably long, I feel that it is fine and not outside the spirit of the game and I have never seen it applied in any other manner.
      Personally, I don't think Hooper expected the break because by his usual ferocious standards (said with utmost respect) that was a feable attempt if I ever saw one; if he had wanted to make that tackle, he would have dragged pipsqueak Smith with him or at least appealed that he was being held. He did neither and it was left to another Aussie to point in the direction and that was the extent of the appeal. If Hooper had appealed, it would not even have been the first time in the game, having already caused Vunipola to sit on the naughty stool for ten minutes lol.
      I am South African, equally no axe to grind, and winners beers are delicious even when you know you dodged a bullet XD
