Having just read that Johnny Mandel has died at age 94, it seemed only appropriate to come back to watch Tripod's perfect tribute (albeit slightly backhanded) to the great man.
Tbh I was never certain whether Yon was short or Scod and Gatesy were just tall until I saw Paul and Gatesy live lmao. Also the same night I found out Paul was pretty average height, and it's was Rich and Tim in DAAS that were hecking tall
I love tripod...its so odd thst i hadn't heard of them until recently! They'r really good XD thanks for posting their videos, i don't know who else would have!
the theme from M*aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa*s*h!
D.A.A.S was Awsome So is Tripod though they are not allowed to do some of the things D.A.A.S did in their day so the comedy is 90% music with Tripod where as D.A.A.S was about 50/50
No, I'm pretty sure M*A*S*H was just set in Korea. Which was one of the remarkable points of the show for being so popular it ran for much longer than the actual Korean war it was based on.
the "i was just cleaning it" is actually a story about an Australian soldier in the military committing suicide and the army trying to cover it up by saying his gun fired while he was cleaning it.
M*A*S*H was a very long running show. It covered several wars including, the Korean war, and Vietnam. Some part of me wants to say it started in WWII, wikipedia it if you really wan to know.
I'm honoured to be the one replying to this comment and after 11 years of being patient I'm also thrilled. M*A*S*H was a popular TV show aired from 1972 till 1983 and has been played on free to air TV stations continuously around the world since its final episode in 1983. Many of the characters became household names like Hawk Eye or Radar and it was a comedy show set during the Korean war. It put real faces on the people who served their country and humanised them to a more mainstream audience. It was very easy to watch with constant humour and a cast who genuinely got along very well with each other. If after 11 years of waiting for this answer you do see it, say hi back because it would be interesting to know
