Love this story...my Husband and I adopted 4 kids from China after having biological children....best decision ever! We love all our kids and love how Isabella`s mom is encouraging her daughters Chinese culture, we plan to do the same. Ironically, our last adoption, we named our girl Isabella too...she came home just 6 months ago. 😁

I absolutely love it! I can totally relate to Isabella story. I was adopted from China when I was 2 years and 3 months. I was diagnosed deaf I have two Cochlear implants. I use to hide food to save for later, too. I wanna go visit to China someday to see where I was originally from. I hope someday my parents can take me back or go on a trip like this.
Isabella's analysis is absolutely right - she has had a much better and limitless environment following the adoption, and she could fully explore and develop her potential, and of course she can enjoy better education quality being in the western world. Adoption has been great for her!

You're lucky to have white parents who's supportive and never giving up on you. I hate parents giving up on kids why does they give up birth when they can't take care of it. It's the baby that suffers
Sometimes someone cannot take care of their child due to circumstances, they love their kid enough to give them up to have a better life. Not all people give up kids because they do not care, some care so much that they know the child deserves more than they can give. You have a very single opinion on why people give up their kids, you should really try to expand that vision, there are so many reason some good some bad. So by your solution everyone should abort every child that isn't wanted? Some women make the biggest sacrifice ti carry to term and then give their child a better life, or they may not be allowed to keep the child as sometimes they are forced to give it up or the government doesn't allow you to keep it. So many reasons exist and it's important to recognize.
Also a mother isn't just a biological mother, you say the kid suffers but my husband is adopted and was adopted a toddler, he doesn't suffer. He knows if he had stayed with his birth parents in Ukraine he would have suffered in poverty and get had bad health and his birth parents couldn't afford his care. They gave him up to give him more. His parents who raised him love him more than anything and couldn't have children so they adopted. Man you are narrow minded.

Kara And emma They we’re adopted from China because of China’s one child policy. The government would only allow families to have one child to control the country’s population. My daughters and some 100 thousand other girls were adopted and brought to United States. It was a cruel and awful policy that should be exposed to the world! This went on for 30 years in China. If people didn’t listen to the government they were punished. There were forced abortions and sterilizations! This must never happen again! It was China’s holocaust! Back then China is poor and underdeveloped, people from the rural area will tend to have as many children as possible, not that they want to have a big family but to have more children to help their farm work. Without that one child policy, China will still be as poor as India. If you really want to blame someone for something, why don't you blame the western countries (including USA), countries that invade China and turn it into a shithole. Plus, I was born in China 1997, the second son in the family in Guangdong.

It was all about the one-child policy in China, not necessarily because the birth parents were irresponsible or incapable of parenthood.
It was China's one-child policy plus Chinese's preference for (healthy) sons over daughters (back then).

They should offer voluntary DNA testing for children and adults who want to reconnect.
