Maybe you don't understand, but bragging will get you nowhere if you can't produce results. My choir is High School actually, and we've traveled everywhere; London and San Francisco are starters, places obviously out of our city. Our High School is about 10 years old, and we've worked our way up from silver, and mastered getting Gold Rank Consistently at 1st Place for the last 5 years. We produce the sound with a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller body count than yours, You guys have what looks like about... Hm Maybe 60 or 70 people give or take? Perhaps your "advanced" mixed choir is about 28 people (looking at your Veteran's day performance)? We take Half that amount to produce a more solid sound. Also, there's more to singing than just "sounding" good and trying to smile all the time (God help your facial expressions). Maybe it's just barely sufficient for Middle School, cause the expectation is a lot simpler than ours. I've seen videos, thanks for tagging your school. I would give you tips, cause you need it, but you know maybe you don't need them from a high school, cause bragging will help get you to farther places! I'd like to see you brag like this before a competition. But I don't see any competitions on your Schedule... Might change your perspective when you see all these other choirs stepping over you and sounding WAY better. We LEARN and MASTER songs in 2 weeks, not vocal test every 2/3 weeks. We attend more competitions and performances in a year than you can count on your hands, did you know 13 is un unlucky number? I think thats the amount of performances you have this year right? I didn't exactly see any competitions that allows you to compete on an international Platform. Also might explain the false sense of superiority. Oh and we "may or may sound better than you. If you hear us we sound like angels." But we are a high school so yeah, we actually do have a much better idea of what we're doing during performance and what to expect facing much higher expectations than a middle school. Don't start bragging, you already have a target on your back just for that comment.
oh my goodness. i am so sorry! 4 years ago i was a brat. i’m sure you guys sounded amazing and i had absolutely no right to say any of that. i’m incredibly embarrassed right now that i even had the nerve to say something like that in the past. i’m so sorry for my behavior.
