100% I Agree, Pretoria is the very safest city in SA. I lived there for more than 7+ years
Theres just no enough marketing for pretoria … it can literally be up there with CapeTown
I'm keen to check out the CBD, but safety's a big worry. I used to pop over for a haircut, but had a bad run-in last year. Some crooks busted my windows and swiped my laptop from my car. Haven't been back since.
Absolute Gold!!! Thanks alot.
This was very informative. One of your best episodes. Thanks.
Pretoria CBD is lovely. Unfortunately bylaws are not being enforced.
The place has transformed - the last time I was there Cafe Richie is not longer not the same and the square wasn’t fenced..
Interesting and nice looking place. But nowhere in my travels across big cities of Europe or North America have I heard that holding your phone a certain way is important for safety or keeping it. Sounds like SA cities are still not quite ready for mass tourism. I want them to be!
Paris and Madrid.
Lol. South Africa is a lawless country. I am sad to see what my country has become.
Pretoria is not Jozi, PTA is safe and beautiful, we just have to clean it.
NICE tour 💯😱
SA has a lot of opportunities it's crazy...
Pretoria is beautiful
Yeah, it looks like it used to he a much better place before 😢
Dave . I nominate you for the next indespendables
In my dreams I see them developed into retail and residential property.
I know you couldn't go everywhere but he should've taken you to state theater which is just next to Absa building and Reserve bank building which is probably the tallest in PTA.
We will do more. This is just the first one of many. It is a promise. ✅️
Pretoria is still not up to Cape Town's CBD but it's more likely to get there than Johannesburg and I really hope it gets there. Would love for you to do a tour of Bloemfontein city I actually think it's not as bad as our other cities.
Will do! Count on that.
That cafe used to be buzzing with tourists mid 2000. I wonder what happened to tourits who used to visit church square.
They still do visit
That area is a hub for heroin addicts
Did photoshoot ko Botanic Garden last month
I'm surprised n proud of how clean Pretoria CBD is .
44:05 oh my gosh David you have to be careful!
🙏thank you brother. Right shoulder, ribs, ankle, knuckles, I was pretty bruised up. That dive through the window was pure instinct. I wish I had recorded it. 😂
Nice tour, i enjoyed it . Next time, they will show you state theater
Please give me more information about the state theater. 🙏
Is one of the largest theater in Africa
@@bonabusinesssolutions thanks we will pat them a visit
This is the time seeing this part of PTA nd in from there
I stay in Tshwane but know nothing about most of those places, are those buildings free to enter or you need some level of authority?
Thanks. Is burgerspark hotel still operating?
There is one next to the park and they renamed it. Not bad, for quick travel to Pretoria.
37:28 explains everything about being a south african🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's not a claim it's a fact South Africa is by far the most developed country in Africa. How you feel about it doesn't change the fact.
What are the city plans regarding this buildings? They can't be sitting there looking pretty on the outside and not occupied
What can I say? The capital looks very nice, I hope can I visit the city some day
There is much more to see 👌
Nothing works in that city
it seems like today cbd is clean, smokers they are disturbing there i wonder why government not to remove them.
Haha ja the one even has his own greenhouse 🤣🌲
Old concrete everywhere. How is SA really the most developed country in Africa, infrastructurally, is still something I don't understand. Please, people, try to explain why this country is really the most developed as we are made to believe. I like SA but I disagree with the claims.
Thank you, sir.
Persevering old buildings...majority of people still love their history...check England, Japan, Estonia...etc
it seems like today cbd is clean, smokers they are disturbing there i wonder why government not remove them.
You can disagree all you want, I don't why they say that. But am pretty sure that thorough research has been made by economist and professional around the world to conclude that statement. All I know is that in my country even villages have proper road infrastructure, free housing, health facilities, drinkable tap water, electricity and many more, remember in villages. What you see is the inner city meaning where the city started and imagine how well maintained infrastructure from 1900s is. If you move towards the periphery you'll find most modern buildings (Menlyn, Atterberry, Midrand ...), you'll find most reflective modern buildings. It's all speculation why it might be considered as that.
U need to be in SA to agree that it's the most developed country in Africa ito world class infrastructure. No country in Africa even comes close to SA. It's also has the highest number of millionaires in africa. Its also the most industrialised country in Africa. It's was only african country in Brics and G20. It's an emerging economy.
@youme1414 , you don't know the importance of old buildings and museums, and history related to them, these buildings attract lots of tourists from as far as Germany, Netherlands, France and China.
We don't demolish old historical buildings, we renovate them according to that old physical form.
